IGN gives its video review for the long awaited shooter video game Duke Nukem Forever. While the legendary game is finally here, its way late to the party.
+KCJan123 that is B.S for that one i must admit. I wish people would acknowledge the fact these games actually had something going for them like this I mean Call of Duty is getting old the only game that needs to keep going is the Final Fantasy games but even then you wonder is it ever gonna end. Call of Duty is running out of ideas and pretty soon I see a unfortunate welcome with Treyarchs chairman going against Bungie in a court case because of how much Call of Duty these days is turning closely to Halo.
It doesn't mean, that the game was good. In was stupid, not funny, limited by games like call of duty, poorly executed and for fucks sake, you could only carry 2 fucking guns (don't tell me that bullshit about 4 guns after updates, because all of those, who defended it, said 2 guns is enough and it is normal, until they released that update, reminded me of an apple fans)
Developers recreating classic games need to seriously learn a thing or two from id Software. DOOM 2016 is an excellent game and one of the best FPS titles from the last decade. It feels new, yet Classic at the same time
DialgaMarine3 I dont see how a time frame matters. They tried recreating the original doom games and although I find doom 3 ok, most didn't. You're referring to Id Software so you should mention doom 3. And not just say they did it perfectly the first time.
Hitly96 I know that iD's previous DOOM games were all good. That wasn't the point go my comment at all. I was saying that out of ALL FPS titles of the last 10 years, the recent DOOM was easily one of the best I've played, next to games like Resistance: FOM, and Killzone 2. I'm not discrediting anything before the last 10 years.
Johan Öberg well its not the case people expect it to be good because the duke nukem 3d was bad ass and they want the same type of feeling with better graphics so they buy the game as per their expectation but if it turns out to be nothing like the first one people get disappointed in that game
Nothing like Duke 3D is going too far I think, it had almost all the weapons and many enemies from it, as well as many one-liners and such. It's just that it didn't have 10 weapons and open-ended levels (but it did have those hideous underwater-levels...)
agree. we all new thet it would not live up to 12 years of hype. and when i played it i had a lot of fun with it. the graphics arent anything special but they are not awful, the music is great and duke lines are spot on. i really like this game

Anyone who reads this: We all know we are quite pissed at Duke Nukem Forever, and how it snubbed Ocarina of Time off the charts, so if you want a effective way to explain your hatred for Duke Nukem, here's how: When someone mentions Duke Nukem in any way possible, yell out "Duke Nukem For Never!" And then beat them down until they're knocked unconscious. If you're also a Zelda fan with a marker, draw the Triforce on their face. Enjoy using this tactic and hope you don't get arrested!
