Here we go they did it again. Insanely crazy. Bravo 🙌😎
Mohammad Ben sulayem car? As in the president of Formula 1? A koenigsegg F1 team would be insane
hes the FIA president, not F1
F1 falls under FIA
@@fortunasp5391no FIA is the governing party. The police of Formula 1.
@@fortunasp5391 It is one of many motorsport categories the FIA controls. It's roughly like saying the head of GM is the President of Corvette 😁 It is not really the same, is it?
@@fortunasp5391Formula One is a separate company to the FIA. Formula One would be like Apple, and the FIA is the SEC, making sure they don’t do anything illegal, but they also do that for Amazon and Microsoft, like how the FIA also governs over WEC, WRC, MotoGP, among other series.
The transmission in that car is literally a dream, something I've thought about for years but had no knowledge of how it could be done. Wether it's their crazy 9spd LST, the freevalve technology, or any of the other awesome engineering Koenigsegg is always doing something awesome
Pagani Huayra Epitome: AYYY YOU GOT A MANUAL RETROFIT TOOO, ALSO A ONE OFF
Not the same owner.
Chimera is owned by Muhammad Ben Sulayem ( FIA President )
@@Yash-ql6poamazing how such a piece of 💩 like him can have such a beautifully crafted machine.
That brown interior of the Chimera looks totally brutal, very elegant and matches perfectly with the rest of the silver dashboard.
Literally the perfect vehicle
I could listen to Christian all day, he is so in tune with the mechanical details . A true genius 👍
@12:06 those revs are just……..everything.
I hope the “lucky boy” who owns this masterpiece will get to the point of truly appreciating what’s been created with this beautiful machine! It’s not just a toy to show off. Someone actually worked to design and build this beauty. Enjoy the heck out of it!!
It's incredible that Koenigsegg could even compete with the likes of Bugatti & manufacturers with insanely large budgets...such an inspiration...me personally...I prefer Bugatti but I still respect what the Eggs are doing
Well they really don't, they try but they don't.
@@chalkandcheese1868what else than sound cancelling is better in a Bugatti? Looks is personal taste. Have you seen when Nico Rosberg tries a Regera. That's a F1 master loving a car.
@@RobertHerrstrom I'm not saying anything's better in a Bugatti, I'm just saying billionaires want Bugattis

the best of all the cars they ever made, couldn't imagine other car and it's amazing wow.
An RS with the Jesko engine 🤯
and Jesko gearbox
@@Brian.Jones.310The gearbox is from the cc850
@@Sidewinder5 CC850's gearbox is the same gearbox as that in the Jesko, LST. It only has a simulating pattern of a manual gearbox over the Jesko's automatic gearbox.

1:33 Oh cool!!! I absolutely LOVE and respect that they've done that. Yeah, yeah, I know, manual / stick isn't as quick as crummy paddles, but it's always been more engaging, involved, and enjoyable to drive. It really is awesome that more car makers are doing that again 🙂😊
Wonderful video. Seemed like a heck of a vibe in Christian's company. Nice one.
This is just beautiful ❤️
Love how this guy is going against the grain and keeping manuals alive! Great company, great boss!
This has to be the best Koenigsegg ever build.
Christian is one person I would love to meet and say thank you for all you have done for car people all over the world 😍😍
😮❤😮❤😊🎉🎉The transmission itself is an absolutely mind-blowing marvel of engineering. A racing sim setup for a hypercar.
The Chimera sounds so good on the road when you shift it down and accelerate hard. Awesome work from Koenigsegg and Christian's team!
omg that revs like a superbike
Good that Koenigsegg accepted this project because it potentially didn't let to creation of rival manufacturer. If you know what I'm talking about
When I'm bored I watch Netflix or something. When CVK is bored he makes a new car that nobody asked for, but everyone is now asking how come no one thought about it before.
I could lostwn to Christian talk for hours. Combined with a track and road review, this is one of the finest videos you've made. 👌
Pure genius!!! Congrats!!!
I fitted my car with an automated brake. It was so boring before, but now, being constantly faced with sudden, harsh braking, it's awesome. Really feels great. I'll get a sight reducer next, leaving only small slits to see through. It's gonna be awesome fun!
if you are satisfied with pushing a lever from here to there - or pulling a paddle - good for you. But it's Kindergarten, really.
No other car company like Koenigsegg, so much innovation, a (not so anymore) small company making almost everything inhouse was unheard of before Christian came to the scene. Shame I won't own one of these glorious machines.
I was obsessed with Koenigsegg the minute I found out about them! Christian and his company are WIZARDS in Engineering! I dream of hoping that I can own one day. So so so good omg
Koenigsegg forever 🤟
I'm so excited to be picking one up tomorrow and grinding some gears while I learn manual.
Koenigsegg makes every other car brand, except maybe Bugatti, look like type writer manufacturers.
Bugatti is definately one class above
@@alexluke84 Sure, Bugatti does touch up on the overall attention to the detail to the Nth level, however, I'd say Koenigsegg with their blend of innovative nature as well as refinement and overall materials is another unparalleled beast of its own league. They both have their unique attributes that make them what they are in their respective segments.
Bugatti impresses with inherited wealth and prestige, akin to a successful nepo kid. In contrast, Koenigsegg is like a genius artist, creating groundbreaking innovations from scratch.
@@alexluke84 Koenigsegg is more innovative, Bugatti is way more refined tho.
@@origaminefretami3480 good point...but Tourbillon is truly in it's own class of opulence and Koenigsegg is more of a racey track car
Just never cease to be amazed by the innovation of Christian. What an incredible piece of engineering
Fun fact:
6 years ago, to this day I drove from Serbia to Angelholm just to see the place. Got scared. Went back home.
always a breathe of fresh air listening to the man himself speaking about the tech... I mean the passion!!!
OK, so the owner is the FIA president. Noted. Didn't know they were good friends...
I've never heard the jesko at crusing speeds before, the drive by clip of the chimera sounds beautiful. Crazy how such a powerful, utterly feral engine can also be so tame and relaxed sounding.
My favorite thing about Christian is he's a CEO who wants to have fun. Not just get in a yacht and party all day kind of fun but create things with his team and company that they can all appreciate and enjoy together. He's always the man hyping up his teams, their ability, the fact that they create every bit of the car in house, or anything cool happening. Always on top of stuff with social presence, what's happening in house, and making sure the vision of Koenigsegg is becoming reality. It's refreshing in a world of lazy, useless CEO's.
The CC8 series of cars has been my favorite car design. So simple, but so elegant. Pairing it with modern tech is just amazing and having a greater that 1:1 bhp:kg ratio is just mental. My goal in life is to drive a CC8 of some kind before I pass.
Give that to Carwow and let em go nuts over the fact that it has 1600hp and it weighs *1400 kilos* (around 2547 lbs)

Christian von Koenigsegg! Born in a knight family that goes back to the 12th century. Builds the awesomest supercars the world has ever seen!
There are hypercars and then there’s Koenigsegg.

3:34 is that duck tape on a chimera??
Yes
It's pretty wild how two of his engineers came up with the same idea for the name of this beast. Amazing car and I really enjoyed Christian's explanation of the manual advantages that are more higher and intuitive. They kept in manual mode the whole time. Awesome transmission engineering.
fun fact the nissan s12 is rarer than a koenigsegg in the UK
Also fun fact the owner of Koenigsegg owns a mk1 mx5 :) I have seen a few Koenigseggs but only 1 nissan s12 in all my years.
Christian is one of the coolest guys out there,
Did he just say that the owner of the car is the FIA president
Yup Muhammad bin Sulayem
Yeah, Ben Sulayem
Yes, he has a Regera and had an Agera RS which is now this Chimera
I heard it as Mohammed bin Salman. As in the Saudi Crown Prince.
Yes 😅😅
