WHATEVER HAPPENED TO SKATEBOARDING?

(21 Jan 1979) The craze for Skateboarding swept in from America in the Autumn of 1977 and many a Christmas stocking was filled with skateboarding equipment. Then the whirlwind that was skateboarding passed, leaving in its wake special Parks and amenities created for its pursuit empty. It moved on to strike the Continent and in Munich the youngsters soon mastered the art and tricks of the Skateboard.
