    LG is going above and beyond with their OLED tv lineup and this looks awesome. It looks as though that the QD-OLED thing is something they arent even considering which I don't think is a bad thing because to me I don't need QD-OLED. My C1 is bright enough and colorful enough for my tastes so I am good. But the LG OLED Flex is something I may be looking into for gaming.

      QD OLED isn’t a threat when it’s done by Samsung. If Sony can get it cheaper (unlikely) then LG would need to be worried. Had 2 S95Bs and both arrived bent like bananas.

    It just goes to show you how some things go and come back. I have a curved Samsung TV from 2016 and I still like the TV. No you can't bend it to different curve positions but it's curved just right for me. Different strokes for different folks.

    Two monitors, one curved one flat.
    Or bendable.
    For testing i have two right now and I see the benefit of bendable.
    Higher refresh rate and size would be fantastic!

    I think this is an amazing product. Best of all worlds. Only thing that has me looking elsewhere is vesa mounting. I require vesa mounting.

      That's exactly the way I see it too. I mean for this flex models (LG and Corsair) it is my understanding that they can't add the VESA mount because of the bendable feature, but let's be real here, those TVs and Monitors are begging to be wall mounted, aside from the fact that those stands occupy way too much space.

      @@Hooded_Kenny exactly. Space is luxury with big displays. You loosing 6+ inches of desk space having it sit on the desk. The desk already has to be deep to prevent eye and neck strain. These companies are capable of engenering some kind of solution, if it be proprietary it be understandable.

    The mechanical curvature adjustment is overengineering and same goes for speakers, but! I really like it. Looking forward to seeing more QD and OLED for desktop experience in 2023. 0_O

    I do want a curved 42 inch monitor for my PC but the extra cost for the mechanical screen and what happens when you have it in a corner desk like I do and the screen straightens out accidental or on a reset and it will get damaged when it hits the wall.
    And we need a sleep mode for the PC so it can wake up so you do not need to turn the TV on everytime when you walk away.

    this is cool tech and everything but lets be honest, unless you sit 1 meter away you dont get a major improvement in view angle from just that curve. it seems a bit overhyped as the guy is talking about it

    Why didn’t they make a 1440p with 240hz?! Corsair did it, cmon LG it’s your own display! I wish you could move the 27inch/32 inch screen too. All that screen real estate going to waste when it could be used for productivity

    • @battlemaster116
      @battlemaster116 Рік тому

      Corsair's monitor is actually an LG display. If u want 21:9 1440p go for Corsair, but if 16:9 2160p is more your thing get the Flex. Size and aspect ratio is the difference here, so you basicly have to chose what you would prefer

  • @casino9240

    If anyone reading can answer my question…..
    Resizing the screen, won’t change the ppi of the smaller window. So what would that ppi be at 27 and 32 respectively?

    • @zoopa9988
      @zoopa9988 2 роки тому +2

      42 : 100 = 0.42
      27 : 0.42 = 64.3%
      32 : 0.42 = 76.2%
      A 42" display at UHD has a PPI of 104.9
      Take 64.3% and 76.2% of the original width in pixels, which was 3840,
      and you get a width of 2469 and 2926 pixels.
      This means that the 27" almost has a QHD resolution.
      The PPI for a 27" QHD monitor is 108. The PPI for the 32" would be somewhere in between the 104.9 and 108 PPI.

  • @short5stick

    I want the 42 now for my PC! What about burn in? Asus has a heat sink to help. Will this run hotter because it is flexible.

    • @tw751
      @tw751 2 роки тому

      RTings did a one year burn in Test and found no burn in for gaming. Only a high brightnes and contrast Game like FIFA or CNN did cause damage.
      My oled has 0 burn in and Its on for Most of the day 👍.
