The p365 380 is a great firearm! My favorite edc! Very soft shooting, no problems with this baby! Mine has the external safety too. And, for a small gun is actually fun too shoot!
I got it because I wanted a really light weight and flat shooting EDC that also happened to be fun to shoot and this gun is it. 9mm guns keep getting smaller and smaller but this size gun is perfect for .380 in my opinion. Sig nailed it.
Been carrying this .380 P365 for over a year and love it. ITs fun to shoot and super easy to dump a mag through at the range and be on target. .380 is over 100 years old handling business. I only wish they had a 15 round mag and .380 would be cheaper lol My only gripes.
Buy any 9mm mag thay will fit and add a quarter inch wedge on the back of the magazine. Disassemble ur 380 mag and look how it's made. Do the same for the 9mm.
I have the rainbow P365 380 and I use the 12rd mags. So light and easy to shoot. It shoots flatter than my X-Macro. I used to run Extreme Defenders but I switched over to Extreme Penetrators for my 380 and my 45. The rest of my 9’s and 40’s I use Extreme Defenders
@@Jeremy-by6pg I’ve heard that too. Honestly in my opinion I feel like me using the mags thats made for 380 it has a less chance of any failure to feed.
@TheRealTeflonRon Sig needs to make 380 15 round and 17 round mags. If I were to use them I'd vet them with alot 600-800 rounds. And only a back up mag. Or just Carry 3 12 rounders if someone is really worried about capacity. But they would be great for the range
I love this little gal. She's a great shot and she's been extremely reliable with quality ammo. I'm debating whether to get the stock or the Rose edition.
No way I'd pay over $200 more for the minor differences in appearance only. That can buy a decent amount of ammo or gear. But by all means, get what you'll be happiest with and enjoy HER!
My state bans hollow points, so I also carry Xtreme Defender in my P365 and P226, +p and +p+. Sometimes 380 hollow points don't expand properly due to the lower velocity, and especially trying to defeat barriers, like a car door or window. The underwood are a perfect alternative for a defensive round imho, and I would definitely carry them in .380 if that was my carry caliber.
We just got my wife the 365 Rose 380 less than 300 rounds in the guide rod failed. The larger spring became unbound from the part thats supposed to retain it. Caused it to not be able to go into battery without smacking it back in. Very easy gun to shoot, very nice to shoot. Just dont know if I can trust it for her to carry anymore. About 3 weeks from incident called sig the same day still waiting on a new spring.
Thats unfortunate and probably the first time I've ever heard that happening to one of these. I have about 800 rounds through mine and will keep an eye out . Thanks for the input.
@@mi777ke777 If you look into it its a pretty big problem. sig probably knows it to because the spring they sent me to replace the failed one was different. They used an epoxy on the spring to try and hold it together.

Never had much luck with most 380's. Had a Walther ppks that wouldn't shoot for nothing. Had a g42 that my hands would rub against the slide causing malfunctions. I do have a ruger lcp max that I occasionally slide in my pocket on those sunday going to meeting occasions, but not a big fan of having that small gun with that small caliber. Keeping in mind shot placement is key. Just saying.
Whete did you find a holster for it? I cannot seem to find any made specifically for the Sig p365 380. There are many available for the 9mm p365. The dimensions of the 380 are a hair different.
Good stuff brother! I’m 6’3” 300lbs and I pocket carry my G42 because it’s a tack driver! I’ve shot everything and carried almost everything. Placement is key! A 22LR is effective if it’s in the right spot. Haters are going to hate. Do whatever the hell you want.
I love mine! The only rounds it won’t load are Sig ammo. Go figure! It’s a fast gun with easy follow-up. And for anyone griping about 380’s I invite you to stand up in front of one😅
You nailed it. The big difference between this and the p365 in 9mm is the ease of a follow up shot. Try it with different ammos. My p365 was not good with one particular ammo. Good with others. Find the ammo that doesn't work and don't buy it again.
@@dragonsofthunder I wanted a pistol specifically for pocket carry. All the shields you've mentioned are just a bit larger and heavier than the Sig Sauer. The Sig Sauer represents the largest pistol I would ever pocket carry. So that makes the Shields just too big for pocket carry. In addition, all the Shields you've mentioned are 9mm. I already have a 9mm the same size as the p365. I did try out the p365 in 9mm and went with the 380 version because it was so much less snappy. While it's true that 9mm is a more powerful round than 380, the lower felt recoil combined with the light, short trigger and short reset makes the 380 perfect for double or triple taps.
I'm one of those people that believe you can carry 40, 380, even 22LR, but I carry only 9mm. I used to have a lot of 40 and 380 pistols, but sold them and got 9mm. 40s&w has always been my favorite round, but I consolidated down to 5 rounds so 380 and 40 had to go.
I never understood why people say a 380 is not enuff. Most fights happen at close range and the faster you get shoots on target the more likely you win the fight. This gun is fast and i am very accurate with it. Great gun
I carry a Bodyguard 380, but also have the 9mm P365. I absolutely would carry the P365 380 but I would never carry a striker fired pistol without a safety or DAO, and never without a holster. Statistically the chance of ever needing to use a defensive pistol is likely very low but you never know. So my criteria were safety, light weight, pocket carry, adequate stopping power at close range. Why lug around a 25 ounce pistol IWB - I've tried that and so uncomfortable. Lastly, no one ever comments on this but the 380 is normally subsonic. If you have ever fired a pistol inside without hearing protection you will understand the benefit of a subsonic cartridge.
@@TheTRUth375 you've shown no math, you're just using talking points against .380 for defensive use from over 10 years ago. New bullet tech allows for more than adequate expansion out of short barrels as well as the minimum 12" of penetration. Your fudd math is outdated 😂

I really don't believe more than 6-10 means you're a horrible shot. There's tons of documented police interactions where they put half or more of their mags into someone and that person keeps pushing. Not just keep moving, but they keep attacking. It's about shot placement yes, but adrenaline is a hell of a thing. Like last year that dude that got shot multiple times in the chest and i think twice in the head and he was still able to fight and get into a car and drive off. He died because of massive blood loss while driving down the road but the shots themselves didn't put him down at the scene. I get where you're coming from but not every situation and person and their tolerances is the same. Kinda cliche saying around here but it's true, I'm a very firm believer in rather have it and not needing it than needing it and not having it. And if someone could offer you a firearm in a size range you're comfortable carrying that offers more capacity without compromising reliability or shootability i don't see why that would be outlandish to want to achieve.
@@BrandonD i wouldn't really call those situations anomalies bro, anomalies implies its a rare occurrence which its not. Not every defensive shooting requires more than a few shots like you said, but much more of them do than you're giving credit for. Less frequent for sure, but not less enough to rule them out as the extremely rare happening. Putting that aside, my statement holds true too. There's no reason to not want/have a firearm capable of holding as many rounds as possible as long as it doesn't interfere with function, shootability, and your ability to carry it comfortably/safely. Respectfully, i genuinely don't see why you're taking issue with someone wanting to maximize how many rounds they carry in their firearm?
