The Jacksons (Michael, Jackie, Tito, Marlon, Randy, LaToya, Janet) participated in the Rock 'n' Roll Sports Classic (May 3rd, 1978), an ABC special that pitted music stars against one another in a series of athletic events. Michael participated in the men's 60-meter dash (placing 6th / eight) and in the swim relay and the tug o' war, with his team winning each of these events, as well as the overall competition.
Participants included: Boston, The Commodores, ELO, Gladys Knight and the Pips, The Jacksons, Earth, Wind & Fire, The Runaways, Seals & Crofts, Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis, Jr., Rod Stewart, The Runaways, Kenny Loggins, Tanya Tucker, and Leif Garrett.

What light? Stop using insensible terms that make no sense. The only light MJ was in was in the sunlight like everyone else. You should have said it was nice to see MJ do normal things outside of performing like most other people do. I don't know why some adults are so gullible and are sheeple to many things, including to silly terms like "different light", that's meant to condition and brainwash, though it makes zero sense. Learn how to think for yourself and stop letting those in power who are liars to think for you.
That was a different Micheal at that time. What he morphed into seemed way more introverted and protected. nonetheless a true SUPERSTAR!

I didn't expect to find so many documentaries or videos about Michael Jackson. I discovered him in 1984, but I have the impression that this man has always been in the spotlight. He's always been famous. I understand his character better, because he's hardly ever had an intimate or private life.

I remember watching this long ago. When television was television and entertainers used to do fun stuff like this. Of course, no streaming, not even cable TV. This was called Battle of the Stars, and it only happened once a year. You truly enjoyed seeing your favorite celebrities having fun like this. It was grand. 😀
