Read that Cher said this was the hardest number she ever did on her show. Trying to keep up with Michael’s dancing was near impossible. He really was from another planet, so much talent.

@@aldnor129 That's what fans want to believe. Conspiracy theories help them deal with the idea he was a "beautiful soul", innocent man and victim. That's what I used to believe too. His crazy life made him lose control and he destroyed himself.

@@3ver4fter53 If you bother to read those FBI files, read the lawyers/reporter book (who was against MJ and changed her tune once she saw it Dr herself) and the first boy’s dads secretary book along side all the mounted of evidence against the accusers parents, you would not be saying he was. I don’t go defending guilty people, I defend innocent people and all accusers are not victims, those children were actually victims of their own family not Michael. if you bother to actually do the research, I know it’s hard because it’s much easier to just go with the flow and what the media feeds us like fast food…but even the FBI saw that it was the opposite, the he was the one being extorted left and right by money hungry parents and by people he didn’t even know lol. They saw what a magnet he was for opportunistic assholes. They followed him for 10 years and found nothing, nothing! All they found was people trying to get to his money to him. Just look into those parents and you will do a 180 on what you thought you knew about those cases. The rest was just Pandora’s box and soooooo easy a target to just make “accusations” on like Wade Robinson and safechuck what a damn joke those two clowns are. Everything they said was a lie and debunked by FACTS, so hilarious.

@@UlrichW-mm8yzConsidering the fact that Michael was literally a kid at the time, "stole" seems quite harsh. Kids learn by imitating. He wasn't trying to rip anyone off. I don't think five-year old Michael was thinking about it in that way at all, he was just trying to look like the grown-ups he idolized. My niece had the entirety of "Let it Go" memorized when she was 2 - including steps, arm and hand motions, and even Elsa's facial expressions. It would be beyond weird to say that my niece stole everything from the movie, or to use that language about any kid, even super successful ones like Michael.

I'm old enough to have watched the Sonny and Cher Show followed by The Cher Show, and even was a huge fan of The Jackson 5ive, as they were called, on albums and on their Saturday morning cartoon. I visited the Jackson childhood home in Gary, Indiana, several years ago because I truly loved them and wanted to say some prayers and pay my respects. Yup. Even if simply for the fact that nobody will ever have the “kid to right before off the wall” level of experience and development. Not even a quarter of it. Michael was so immensely gifted from birth, but him having the chance to develop in the Motown system then go through the Jacksons CBS era is just as rare as it comes. The man had enough career experience and refinement for a million artists by the time he went fully solo. We’ll never see a talent like him ever again.

Holly Crap, I expect Michael Jackson to move like that but not so much Cher. I have never seen this footage and it is totally amazing. After seeing this I believe that they should have done more together. Maybe have concerts and also sing some Cher songs. I believe the Jackson's and Cher would have made a lot of money and more fame from that.

Cher must have worked very hard. MJ was unbelievable in terms of singing and his dancing. Cher had to drop into line with the Jackson Five choreography and sing too! She did fair job at what must have been short notice. Those guys were dripping with talent and super tight! Her singing was pretty cool! Wow!

I used to watch the Sonny and Cher show, but I do not remember this performance. All I can say watching this well over 40 years later, is how immensely talented the Jacksons were. And that’s a given. They were wonderfully talented artists. However, what also blows me away is how underrated Cher was at the time and has always been by certain critics and how she was always being put down back then, and yet when I watch her, I see someone who worked so hard, who learned, who strived and never expected anything to be given to her and who really deserves her icon status. She worked very hard, to be able to pull this off. This is a wonderful performance for both the Jackson 5 and Cher.
