The lil propeller cracks me up every time I fly this thing. Its like those propeller caps kids used to wear back in the 50s or whatevef

@@deremjool8043 An excellent question, one that I had never considered. So many things we accept as fact while not always asking why we believe it. Now that you ask, I can only recall seeing it in comics. (In this case, Calvin and Hobbes where he saves up cereal boxes to win one but it ends up being a cheap plastic piece of junk. One of the best comics I've ever seen since it taught me to temper expectations with more realistic thoughts )
for the 30mm mk 108 aim a full secend of bullet travel time ahead of the enemy for every 500m distance ( 2 secends ish at 1km depending on speed and reletive direction of travel with both your plane and theirs)
Just do not fire until 400m ffs. I do that in Me262s, true but 163 just does not have any ammo for trying that stuff. Not because you cannot aim, but because it is like getting shot at by Ostwind... while flying at 1km XD (good players will always dodge this sht)
@@teleman07 true, I mainly do 1km shots only against bombers using mk108, and almost never in a 163, ina 262 when your target is a b29 its more than do-able with good aim
@@draytonkk Yeah. I carry night ammo in 163 so it explodes mid air when I feel like trying funny long shots to punish me XD
@@teleman07 i used night ammo for a while till I got to jets an the 163, now I alternate from stealth or Universal, self destroying rounds i find reduce range when goin 900km or more, so really only effects 262c1a/c2b or the 162, too bad c2b is 18000k repair, how tf can anyone reliably gain with that amiright?
@@draytonkk I'd take nothing but universal on me262s. Stealth is not exactly a good choice when you have enough ammo to see correct any under or overlead (or you can just spray around, that works too..). Stelath also nullifies some excellent shooting patterns with certain aircraft but those do not exist on mk108s obviously..

I like my ki 200 it's just a me 163 but in Japan. But 8.7 is insane for the plane.
Even at 8.7 it slaps, I have a +4K/D in it. Easily my favorite plane in the game

@Aslaan S. They climb and glide very well, so to save on fuel for the battle, I start with a steep climb and then put the throttle on 50-70% depending on the BR. I dive on players that aren't playing attention, or if there's a big furball happening, and use my maneuverability to stay alive (you have to be very aware of your surroundings when you do this, especially in an uptier when your foes have better missiles). Don't leave your throttle on at 100% the entire time, only do it to keep your speed up during long turn battles. You can maintain ~600kmh at 30-40%, and you can go from one airfield to the other with just a minute left of fuel if you do this, since fuel usage drops rapidly when you lower the throttle. I might post a video of a good game soon
the me 163 is a lot of fun in sim ive used it once or twice and ive always scare the hell out of enemy bombers or interceptors
This and the Ki-200 are my favorite planes in the game - absolutely underrated, and for the Me 163, slightly undertiered imo. Amazing planes

You're right about the pinwheel on the front. Most modern airliners have a deployable one to power avionics in case of total engine failure.

It's not like those missiles could hit anything else, unless they weren't paying attention.

I'm struggling so hard to spade this plane. I was hoping this video might give some tips on how to fly it, but looks like not.
While the tips and tricks may not be verbal in the video, I at least try to show how I'm successful in it. In short, I would recommend using your speed and acceleration to get to 3-5k meters to start the match, but only by keeping your throttle on 70% or so at max. Then, boom and zoom enemies, picking them off while using your superior agility.

World of Warplanes is not so bad... if you want pure arcade. I play Arcade in this game but like you said, this is like sim compared to that. But if you really want a pure arcade flight game (Yeah we can not even call it a sim really) then give it a try. It is free. You get a pretty quick feel for how much of an arcade game it is after a quick try.

it was 10 single shot 50 mm cannons pointed upwards
that were mounted at the wing root
and the way they fired
was with a photocell
which would detect a change in brightness
and fire the cannons
after a cannon was fired
it'd use the recoil to jettison itself from the rocket craft
making it recoiless
in a way
the idea ofc
was for the 163 to swoop under a bomber
and the cannons would automatically fire at it's belly thx to the change of brightness
