I do agree about the whole demo thing. Hardly anything changed from demo to final product. In earlier days demos weren’t slices of the finished product. Off topic but carci who speedruns these games for a living gave up on a no damage run for this game.

At 2 minutes in I'm dying at the gameplay clips you chose to show. Especially 2:06 😂😭😂 2:10 - So many people like that, I like to call them A to Z people, they miss B, C, D, E, F, etc. in between. I would say 9/10 people are in general like this, no matter the topic. The fact that people were using "it's just a demo" as an excuse for the gameplay being bad just shows the extent these blind fanboys will go. We all know demos that close to launch are 100% the final product, minus glitches, MAYBE...

It’s so odd how a character-centric focus could somehow result in characters like Remilk Leon being incredibly poor with his writing compared to the canon timeline.
Man, just a clip of that ending in RE2R makes me shudder with cringe. I would disagree that Leon was bleak in RE2 OG. Characters in that game have a lot of personalities, and Leon is no exception. The base of his character traits were established there, and were built upon in subsequent entries. By the end of that game, he is basically RE4 Leon, extremely competent, less naive and even dropping one-liners here and there ("game over" in Leon B and "That's what I call ugly", "Persistent one, aren't you? Well, come and get it!" In Claire B). But yeah, this new Leon went from being a dumbass to being an edgy dumbass. The writing in thr intro is something I expect from a fan-fiction. And to top it off, Nick A. overacts the shit out of those lines. And also, as a cherry on top, the events if RE2 canonically happened on September 29, not 30.
Not only the VA overacts but his lines delivery is an absolute cringefest. When I listen to him talk it makes me sick inside just because of how bad it is. Of course the horrid dialogue writing isn't helpful. "yOu GoTtA bE kIdDiNg mE" is repeated throughout the whole game.

Those are dumbass lines, yet he made them work. I know Jeff Schine already voiced Carlos and Chris, but I still would have loved to hear him voice Leon. He has much more power and charisma in his voice, plus he made Carlos' dumbass lines sound good.

No clue. It took me almost a day to get the video footage for this sample done, after I got the music and commentary done. I also had to deal with technical issues. And I also have a summer class, so progress is uncertain.

It’ll take a while until the completed version. This sample took about 2 days to make using Sharefactory, but that was mainly because I was stuck on what to include on the music and video side, while also occasionally procrastinating by playing RE4 Remilk or some other Resident Evil title in order to jumpstart my mindset. That, and the editing process & college constituted the length of time.

It stills amazing me how Re7 is the only one game in the Re Engine that its mechanics are actually polished. Every other re game after that one feels clunky and rushed. Guns feel like toys.
