Luke has also dude wielded in the past (legends) specifically against lightsaber whips. He also uses a shorter offhand blade, and I believe may have been an inspiration behind Ashoka’s blades.
The short off hand blade is called a shoto.
I wouldn't be surprised if you were right. The developers clearly had at least a passing familiarity with Legends.
This really is the best Stance pairing. Very fast paced and powerful. Perfect synergy.
You are 100% correct.
Another note for this combo is if you are foghting a strong opponent, if you start with dual and use its special parry, let that connect, immediately switch to staff and use vortex dive it absolutely deletes their block meter and you can almost lock them into that cycle until dead
That is a pro tip. I will have to remember that move.
Great video. I agree with pretty much everything you said here. Out of every staance pairing i've tried, the Saber Staff and the Dual wield stance go together better than any of the rest.
Thank you very much.
I had a gut feeling that this was the best combo, thank you for confirming.
I'm sure there are some people that will disagree, but to me, it seems self evident.
I agree 100% but i just really enjoy playing with the blaster. Im having a hard time deciding which one to prioritize with dual wield. It sucks we can't switch between all of them...
I guess borrowing from previous games would've been too much.
Just started playing the game thanks for the conformation! Its litterally so sinple. If there is one person dual wield, if there are 2 people double bladed.
Dual Blades and Blaster stance have been my favorite, blaster stance is lethal you can swing and than shoot right after doing some damage, and dual sabers is just untouchable you’re so fast and you can parry even quicker
Dual Stance for speed, and the satisfaction of parrying anything whenever you want. A blaster stance for excellent damage at range and mid range as well as a solid defense. The Blaster damage perk actually makes blaster combat viable. But combinations of all the stances work well. The only weaknesses are the ones you allow.
This is the stance combo I used in my first playthrough only because the animations looked so cool in the gameplay videos. Im trying blaster and crossguard for new game plus but its no where near as fun. I can’t play as aggressively
all that info but no gameplay fighting enemies ?
You are not wrong. As much as i like the single saber stance, this combo is ridiculously good.
I'm the same way. I really like to stick with the single saber stance as my primary, but this combo is just so good.
I love single sabre, I used it exclusively in my first play through
Cross guard and duel is a good combo because you have strong and fast attacks and duel has good def. Cross guard is great against ranged attackers.
This was my preferred stance combination for most of the game.
However, I sometimes switched to cross guard and blaster stances in certain situations. For example, the blaster stance helped me clear Oggdo Bogdo + Spawn of Oggdo challenge, as well as the two rancors challenge.
Meanwhile, the cross guard is top notch for dealing with those mallet wielding Bedlam Raiders.
But these are exceptional instances. Most of the time, dual wield + double blade just demolish everything.
Well you're wrong! The single blade stance is the absolute best stance simply because it has no weaknesses you just have to know how to use it. Then to pair single stance with the blaster stance only gives you more options. Dual and saber staff are for button mashers.
Man I agree 100%, people hate on the single blade but it's my favorite. It's dash strike and lunge are very powerful. I use it against bossed and groups. Although I'm trying incorporate blaster stance for the point blank
Saver staff is a life saver for groups of enemies and animals, but i agree the single saber is GOATED
My combination is single blade + crossguard, i feel that i need more skill and makes it more imersive to me
Blaster sucks. Even for distance it's bad because you can't free aim, you have to lock on, which always locks on to the closest enemy then you have to cycle thru to the furthest, by that time you'll get hit by the closer enemies if not moving, so if you're moving you might as well use a different stance and just sprint after that distant enemy. It might be fun because it's different but it's not good.
Try mashing buttons in dual wield stance against a mogu on jgm if u haven’t already.
I know that once i got these two, they were my go to.
It's funny that you unlock them both in the first level.
1:26 I was thinking jedi battle master turned dark jedi Sora Bulc and Luke Skywalker in legends not Ahsoka.
I use dual blade and dont even feel the need to ever switch. Double blade is cool but i always get hit in attack animations.
I would say next best after this is SIngle Saber + Saber Staff, Then After That, Saber Staff + Crossguard.
I think i would probably agree with that.
Darth Maul and Ahsoka's fighting styles paired together. It's their fight on Mandolare, but one sided.
Lol, that is a good point that i hadn't thought of.
YEET
YOTE
I just use crossguard for everything tbh
