I'm a bit of a purist as far as lightsaber combat so I stuck with the single blade stance in most situations only using the double-bladed lightsaber stance to fight groups of enemies. I love the single blade stance but it has a weakness where you would get locked into an animation and you couldn't quickly dodge an attack and you would take damage when I switched to the dual wield stance this weakness was eliminated as you can dodge or block during any attack animation.
It doesnt really matter that pseudo ability to cancel animation. If you attack after parry when you have time you dont need that and you do more dmg per swing with single blade. Single blade is the best in the game, and double is best for group of enemies. Dual wield is only good if you use that broken parry everything skill.
You do know ahsoka is not the first character in starwars lore to use a shoto right? You should check out the Battlemaster Sora Bulq the co-creator of Vapaad.
I've found a lof of success combining Dual Wield and Crossguard. Shattering an enemie's attack and then smacking them with the overhead swing. The defense also helps, especially the super reflection perk on the Crossguard (which can take down Droideka shields!!)
This guide appears to completely misunderstand the left side of the tree. It's for the stance where you go into a meditative state and hold your lightsabers out. It's not for normal parrying.
It seems this stance is designed for players who are good at parrying and counterattacking. The first time I played I used cross guard & double blade, but I may try dual wield instead of cross guard this time. I love the power of cross guard but you really can oy use ot when you have one opponent. Dual wield can at least take a couple of foes. I’m just disappointed he doesn’t hold one in reverse grip like Ahsoka. I mean, yeah, that would a terrible grip to use in real life, but then so is using two swords. ;)
You are actually able to transition from the backstep slash to the flurry. Very handy.
Also for fancy stuff, the Y parry of the dual wield transitions well into the LB + X attack of the doubleblade saber.

Definitely Ahsoka influence. The style and shorter blade follows through. Only thing that isn't is the reverse grip she uses.
Yeah, the reverse grip is the only telltale part that is missing here.

@@Dare_To_Game Bode used the reverse grip and Cal in a few cutscenes temporarily.
@@baki484Luke also used a red shoto for a while in legends
thanks jordan perterson!
No problem!
I was gonna say he sounds like Kermit. Then I saw his profile picture 😂
You explained everything and it was very clear, thank you and congratulations!
i rock some starkiller lightsabers, so dual wield is my main 😂

I like dual wielding for single oponents, and saber staff for groups.
Excellent choice on both accounts.
I wish they would have gone with a more classic jedi robe for the jedi robes in this game.
Me too. I was hoping to look like Obi Wan from Revenge of the sith.
Hermit outfit will probably be added for all players later on. Like they did in the first game
This has been my favorite stance ever since Kotor II.
I like dual wielding. I use it as one of my stances all of the time.
It's certainly in my top 3.
Excellent video. I enjoyed this very much.
Thank you very much. I am glad you enjoyed it.
I hope they add a reverse grip stance in the next game.
How do you perform the serpent bite?? What am i doing wrong?

Sometimes when I do split reflection cal starts sprinting & blocking simultaneously very fast toward the shooter. How is this being triggered?

YEET

For some reason, the auto parry move for dual wielding never seems to work for me.
I sometimes struggle with it as well. It could be enemy specific.
Same here. Feels broken to me
How do you do the force parry please tell me I’ve been trying to figure it out for half an hour now
Hold it and wait for thee enemy to attack, but u cant parry red attack with it. The charge time is quite slow so u gotta time it right.
@@puntybrah hold Y, had to figure it out on my own.
Just realised he sounded like Kermit
