- Since the PS5's launch I have scoured through this mini game to bring you the definitive Easter egg list of everything in Astro's Playroom! From the game dioramas to small details hidden throughout the game!

Fr it was like its own video game universe and lore within the PlayStation, Astro became my favorite Playstation character so fast without having to say anything
i'm super happy that Astro Bot has come back in relivance again, along with slowly becoming Playstations Mascot

Yea, but since Astro fits really well into Japanese Kawaii culture, his fate is sealed, and I love it.
Also, Blinx the Time Sweeper was supposed to be Xbox's mascot so that Microsoft could get that same recognition. But it failed miserably in the west, where we prefer "uglier" characters.

Such a great game, a real love letter to any Playstation fan.
That's exactly how I always describe the game, a love letter to playstation.
This game blew my mind! The nostalgic me was crying of joy every second of the game.
Yes not just because the bots and their sounds they make is so cute but also all these references wow. And i rlly want to hug that singing GPU and every single bot aww 🥰 Man imagine if this world and the bots are real inside the PS5 but so small you cant see with the human eye >_

I know I’m late but I just got my PS5 today and started playing this game. Coming across all the references I was just giddy the entire time. It’s like Sony made a Mario game but did it even better. The future is bright for a PlayStation!

I think all the Team Ico references, the Gravity Rush, and Patapon references are my favorites. All of those games were a big part of my childhood (minus The Last Guardian for obvious reasons) and I’m glad to see that even if not everyone remembers or even knows about them (Patapon mainly) at the very least Sony does.
When he said He'd never heard of Soul Reaver before, I felt really, really, REALLY old. One of the best PS1 games ever made with an amazing story and voice acting.
I loved Blood Omen too. Kain is one of the best characters after. Love Nosgoth lol

8:43 it's Virtua Fighter, extremely popular in Japan for Playstation, also check the font/colors, it looks almost the same as Virtua Fighter title screen. Might be wrong, but I'm 99% sure
IGN says it’s Street Fighter. Although the original never got ported to PS1, the second game and Super Street Fighter did.
I'm thinking Battle Arena Toshiden as that was a PS1 launch title so it counts.
That cant be possible. Virtua Fighter is a Sega IP. During the PS1 era, Sega was still in the console market so they wouldnt put one of their games on a competitor console
At 24:23; near the end of your video is one more game you missed. I'm sure a lot of people over looked it. I did until just now. That's a reference to Abuz! A game where you swin underwater, and even meditate on a dolphin shaped rock, to commune with the fish
Interesting! I thought it was more of just a bot doing some meditating as the same bot is found in the GPU area as well (10:24) very interesting similarity to the underwater one tho.

Isn't all direct references to video games (using Astrobot's) filmed by a film studio guy? Sure it might have taken influence, but I still feel the connection might be a little too lose

This game is so great, not only is it a fantastic tech demo for the controller it's just an all around fun game that's a beautiful love letter to all things PlayStation that makes you so nostalgic at times

it doesn't, really... They were so exact with other "bot" parody recreations that it makes me wonder if this is something else. It's not even a pun like the others

Now I've never been a playstation guy, I always played Nintendo, but this game really awesome with how many references and easter eggs are jam packed into it.

I think a video about the Easter Eggs that can be found in Astro Bot Rescue Mission would be fun. I've already found a bunch of these but I'm sure there are plenty to be found.
Here's one that can be easily missed by those who are not used to the French UA-cam Community:
In the playable credits at the end of the Special Thanks two names can be found: David Goodenough and Jean-Michel Bruitages. These are not real persons but two running joke characters that were created and can be found in Joueur du Grenier's videos (he's the French AVGN). When I saw this I burst out in laughter because I really wasn't expecting this.

I mean, I say I’ve caught everything in the title. But I think we would only really know where all the influences are if we interviews a dev. You never know! Could be an influence!

This along with the Devil May Cry one made me so happy when i first saw it
I have finished this game yesterday, and man.... this easter eggs made me remember when i was 6 years old and got the ps2, or when my parents when i Was 10 years old were having problems fighting and my uncle gave me his ps3 Just to make me happy, then at 14 years old, i got ps4 and had a lot of fun whit games like Detroit, Persona 5, uncharted 4, etc. And now that i'm 18 years old and got the ps5, all i have to said is.... that i cried when i finished the game, because it made remember moments of my life were PlayStation Was there to let me have fun in bad times.... i'm really grateful whit my uncle for giving me the Ps5 and Sony for making a game that made remember my life when i was a kid.... oh and here is something else: while i was dropping my tears, Astro was waving at me, and i said: "No, I don't want to let go of that childish side I had with you!"
But that's the problem with growing up, you have to let go of some things.
I don't think theres any harm in hanging onto stuff that brings you joy and you have a lot of sentimental value towards. There's enough space in our brains for it. :) Keep going SJE!

Not Jin, its kazuya at the tekken bit. Your even showing him in the lil clip on the left. Jin has lil hair bits that hang off his face and he tends to have a more iconic look of the pants with flames on 1 leg. Also stuff like the lil boards some bots are using in that Cooling world were UMD's, the PSP game disc.
Vib ribbon came out in europe along with Japan. Eventually the US got it digitally but was so much later.
And lastly if I was to get picky it would be Voxels for the resogun game, not pixels.
I know I’m three years late, but if you bring enemies over to the hunter from blood-borne, then it actually kills the enemies

Just finished playing it on my new PS5, I played it literally just for the MediEvil easter egg that I knew was in it if I am totally honest, but it was a lovely game overall, a lot of references I didn't get I must admit though, Good video!
The memory card grave stones for the MediEvil Easter egg was the chefs kiss 🤌 thanks for watching :)

I was disappointed we didn't see or fight a giant enemy crab at some point. I guess they just included official PS history and not the biggest meme

If you knock every console's power button in the PlayStation Labo, they will play the startup sound. (not work for ps5)
And also, the logo on PS2, PS2 Slim, and PS3's original version can also be rotated like the actual console when knock it.
In 20:25, if step on Sony Interactive Entertainment board after knock it on ground, the bot will be annoying.
Now that I noticed, all Naughty Dog famous sagas are referenced in the GPU jungle
Maybe a reference of how much ND loves jungle biomes(or very green places) as their first levels.
I’m honestly surprised that the final boss isn’t the PlayStation polygon mascot that was the arcade boss in PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale. I’m also disappointed that there’s no Twisted Metal reference in the game.
Ken absolutley hated Polygon Man so that's probably why. There's a Twisted Metal reference but it's just a trophy.

I was a bit surprised there was no direct reference to Gran Turismo. Maybe it would have just been a bit too generic having a brand name racecar in the game but I would have loved to see a yellow evo 5

@@kaspervletter290 Best way for it to go down is like to play like a standard 3D platformers and have each characters have abilities and slowly unlock a hub world similar to Mario 64 minus the paintings,also give some obscure characters a chance like they do in Smash Ultimate,could be that or it could be like some grand crossover rpg with Smash Bros elements in there which would make it great and I’d seek it out as the idea sounds interesting.
It could be Moto Racer on 6:22, it looks similar to the original game cover if you compare it with the picture on TV. But there is Ridge Racer easter egg in the room with all accesories, two bots are playing with RC red car. This is definitely it.
I love the PlayStation mascot (astro) and today I got a ps5 and I love easter eggs in video games and this video is perfect
An other easter egg: if you look (very) closely, you can see the ps-symbols on both the controller and the ps5 itself. This can be seen in the game, but also in real-life.
I liked the "Botcharted" disc cover in the Labo area.

Anyone else noticed the Splatoon two reference in the space level? Where you bounce on the moon bounces? And where the keys are held in the clear container!
You should play the sly cooper series, it's really fun also to save you some money, there's a remake of all 3 games in the sly trilogy on the PS3 and Sly cooper 4 thieves in time.

Took a while to get The Maiden in Black from Demon's Souls? She is blind, her hair is spot on, has her staff, is sitting on stairs, and a dude is kneeling with a sword. It's one of most obvious references lmao

@@JakB001 haha, thanks. Yeah both myself and my friend hadn’t seen payed Souls. But most of the time I know enough about a game to make a guess. But neither of us had ever heard of the Maiden in black! First I thought it was NeiR: Automata. But then realised the bot wasn’t blond or wearing a skirt. But we got there in the end! May have to check souls out.

Maybe in the next Astro game since they also didn’t put Twisted Metal, Syphon Filter, Alundra, Wild Arms, Warhawk, Arc the Lad, Dark Cloud, Socom, Heavenly Sword, Kingdom Hearts, and more games that released for the first time on PS or used to be exclusives.
Twisted metal and Wild arms are referenced. They are both trophy names that pop.

It's not a Camerabot moment, but you missed a twofer - two games referenced from one element. At 16:00 / 16:30 (Journey scene) you can hunt rabbits in the snow with a bow & arrow, just like Ellie does in TLOU before she spots the stag. Hit them all (including those on the cliffs) and you get a trophy referencing God of War's hunting scenes, "Adequate, Boy...".
I'm surprised gran turismo wasn't referenced. Also I thought the cube t Rex was a reference to 3d Dot Game Heroes

Was the level order different on release? Cuz i just pkayed it a couple days ago and it went like this:
GPU Jungle
Cooling Springs
Memory Meadow
SSD Speedway
There’s no real order to the levels. All but the basement level and network are open for you to jump into upon loading up the game :)

Hey i watch your video and it is awesome. See all 100 easter eggs and they are amazing. This might be Spoiler in the final battle and if anyone caught and i caught me too. As you are about to face the final boss of the game . As you get your checkpoint if you down in on the floor there is a easter egg that calls back to the playstation 1 game call I.Q.: Intelligent Qube . A game from January 31, 1997 or it might be another game that totally forgot.

@@zeroThreeSixHD It's (based on) ResuRection by PPK. It took me way too long to rediscover the name and artist. Apps like Shazam don't respond well to (this version of) the song and my memory also didn't really help in the beginning.
