He’s been already diagnosed with NPD 9 years ago. He meets most of the mentioned types of coercive control. He’s mentally, verbally and physically abusive. I have zero support system. I’m stuck. So informative! Thank you 🙏🏻
I was married to one for 15 years. Thought I was stuck as well. Went to a domestic abuse center which helped me with housing, food,etc. Also opened up to my family and friends about what was happening to get help there too. Rebuilding my life at 50 years old but it is so peaceful and wonderful. You can do this!!!
You're never stuck. That's a big part of your PTSD to give up on hope and having power to move on. This is also part of the trauma bond. You're not alone, help is out there. Get away , no contact and save yourself and your soul❤
A Few of the Ten Styles get a bit confusing when you are mixing the voices of the characters from the abuser’s point of view and then you go into things that would not be said by the abuser. For example some of the warnings like The Terrorist “You need to seek confidential help as soon as possible” and the Drill Sargent “you are not safe with me, seriously seek help as soon as possible” It’s just a little confusing, because the first few styles you have the warnings separate.
Yup some use all the tools _ there's more. Getting the scapegoat to do the dirty work of digging the grave for goldy_ that's another one. Had more than one gorilla trying to get me to do this_ it's about not getting any dirt under their fingernails
