Thanks for posting. Gave me a chance to see my Father again. Miss him greatly
Really, well if you are, nice to meet you and visit our site
He was quite a gentleman.
I first learned about your father when when I about 6 years old playing knockout kings 2000 …he was honestly one the best fighters that boxing had to offer
Floyd only had 2 biological daughters and 1 adopted son Tracy Harris Patterson
How are you his son
@@lendrury2771 He is Floyd's first son. He had 4 biological daughters, 2 biological sons and 2 adopted sons.
For a man who wasn’t really a heavyweight he was a great heavyweight champion. Add to that he was a gentleman inside and outside the ring, this made him a great and humble human being. Great interview. RIP champ.
Patterson's comment about those who seek to ban boxing, is grounded in reality. Thanks for sharing this interview.
Thanks
Thank you so much for posting this interview
Floyd has the greatest hair cut of all time
It's a toupee
Loved him like a father. Love this footage!
Really. Funny because he married a white woman which was looked down upon at the time
Oh if only he was around today because now its completely just business and no love
He had similarities with Tyson. Grew up in Brooklyn, juvenile delinquent, went afoul of the law as a kid, trained and mentored by Cus D'Amato. Their boxing styles were similar. Fast hands, "peek a boo" defense style.
Hello, Who did this interview, do you know ? This was in 1985, right ? What month,if you knew?
I would find out
I would say this was in early 1985 or a little before because he mentions Holmes as champion
18:38 Floyd Patterson didn't learn his damn lesson😭 still calls Ali "Cassius Clay"💀
They were good friends. Floyd was the only person Ali allowed besides his mom to call him Clay. There are some other interviews explaining this, but basically Floyd was the one to help Ali made a comeback in 1970 after his license was taken away
😃💬 > 18:53 No scuffs or bandaids 🤕 🩹 👍👏👏👏👌💯🤠 Yup❗ G~G. ✏ 🗳 ☑ 🇺🇸.
