My wife gave me as a Christmas present last Christmas a lesson with Chuck. Looks like it’s time for me to drive down to Sylacauga and take that lesson. Great video!
Just thrilled with Jonny's involving every aspect of shotgun shooting with people from different backgrounds. Not sure which shotgun he's shooting here but studying closely. Appreciate his enthusiasm being brought to shotgun shooting. I shoot in all activities just to have fun.
“Shoot the beak” and “miss in front” were two early lessons I find myself going back to again and again. I’m as tall as Johnny. Focusing on swinging with the hips makes a ton of sense too. We do all this work on mount and fit, so it is logical not to change that geometry and eye position
I have shot guns all my life. I am a mediocre pistol shot, a 90% rifle shot, and a terrible wing shooter. When I was stationed at Clark Air Base, we decided to get some instruction in wing shooting. I remember this little Filipino guy who would look down the barrel and say in a quiet voice, "Too low Boss. Too slow Boss."
Between you Jonny and the Clay Lab guys a Shooting trip to the good old USA is now definitely on the Bucket List. I would however have to find something to persuade my wife(who doesn’t shoot) to accompany me. Fishing perhaps?
Johnny Happy Fathers Day, This tuterial was a lot of fun to watch.Chuck Baker has it all on this course amazon you took over on the tower bird I knew you rocked this course. Why because your English of course... Cheers 🍻 Johny great job
More rabbit than Sainsbury! As my late friend Chris Craddock used to say for the average shooter “A hit is history and a miss is a Mystery!” Shooting is made more difficult by the instructor!
They should come over to Ohio someday we’ve got a good few spots here for sporting clays in trap i’ve even seen five stand were in a triangular structure over at the Silver Dollar in Wooster
More of this content PLEASE. I have hunted, but after watching some videos, I realize... I just do, I don't think about it. I wonder how much better I would be if I took some time to learn and think about it.
I love the challenges like the pole one where you can push and push and push yourself. I would be so bad at it but I want to try it so bad! Amazing video, you gotta bring chuck over!
Most Midwest shooters start out with hand tossed birds and live game, Both are unpredictable in their flight and presentation And usually only waterfowlers get the high bird presentation . I didn't get serious into the clay target game until I was in my mid 20's. Youth shotgun sports have taken off in the US now and I'm glad to see it, It's safe and we are continuing the shooting tradition in a healthy way.
Looks like a brilliant day out. An edge on midi for what looked like a mile away looked like a real beast! Some nice targets there, lovely weather and an impeccable ground, well nice. Keep up the work guys. It is always a pleasure to watch.
Instructors love to over complicate things. His lesson could have been summarized with aim small miss small… Grew up in England and moved to America. I don’t think the fundamentals between English and American shooting is much different. Slightly different looks and just need to learn the lead
I've never seen the point of trying to see the target clearly, even if it were possible which, it isn't. Because of the way our visual system works, the less detail we see the better. The less detail we see, the more time our brain has to do other things. The greater the use of our visual cortex, the less the brain will allocate to other duties. Americans seem to like embellishing the explanations of what they actually do.
Well the difference we don’t run around would be a bit dangerous with 12 people at the same time, but it’s not complicated. If u shoot for a year u almost hit everything.
I simply love Chuck Bakers comment " you might not like this one but you're gonna get it" Bird hunting in USA is something to be experienced.

Have fun!
How refreshing to see someone giving sound advise on shooting

This is one of the best shows you have done .

Focusing on that small front edge comes back to the old adage of “aim small, miss small”.
GREAT SHOOTING! tower design was neat too
What a lovely guy. Great instructor
absolutely lovely. I have learned so much today. Happy Father's Day to Chuck and all Poppa's everywhere.
What a creep
Great video ! Looking forward to seeing your next American adventure ! Bring Ed or Ant with you next time.
Love how instantly excited he was when he said he was going to raise the trap higher. True Brit.
I absolutely love this content - another fantastic video!

Master class instruction. Thanks for posting
I love the "shoot the beak" reminds me of the "hit 'em in the face" I was told when learning top shoot dove.
10:22 "You started the game" very nice taking one step closer to the tower :)
Great content so far, I'd love to visit this place for a lesson
Basically he is using the same body dynamics as in archery, upper stays fixed, and hips do the moving, holding the anker point of the shootgun steady.
Johnny Happy Fathers Day,

Great video with some good and concise information. Thank you!
Johnny, we love you in America! Great Videos and commentary! Always learn something.
The takeaway here is hard focus. IMHO, one of the most critical requirements to be consistently good at this game!

He's good, very good. I like him even more after this video. He's made me better I think.
Awesome video would love to head down and shoot at Orvis bucket list

Don Currie talks about laser focus on the leading edge. It works for me!
As always a superb video indeed keep the coming big Fella
Interesting to see how Americans are taught to shoot clay targets. Thanks again for sharing.

Another brilliant video. Was looking forward to this one after part one. Unlike my shooting it didn't disappoint 🤣
John, can you guys do one on the Mossberg over and under, don't understand why people don't buy more of these guns.
At first I didn't notice the cut around 5:36 and I was wondering about how the gun fired when I clearly saw them take the shell out :D
😂
Outstanding, Sir.
very good. there is a Richard Faulds cd '' leading the edge'' about 25 years old that have a similar teaching
very nicely done
Sometimes I wonder what keeps you motivated and how you can come up with all these new videos, once again well done
God Bless America!
Those pants Jonny, looking dapper mate, cg are very big in the states
Great video, very entertaining. Loved it.👏👊
ANOTHER GREAT INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO!!👍😉👉
Great shooting!
A great VLOG!
Really enjoyed this, would like to see him shooting here and his method ,I'm going to try it out when I next get a chance
My eyesight isn’t good enough for clay shooting :( I’m kind of jealous, seems like it would be a lot of fun
With what guns did you shoot?
What earbuds are you using for hearing protection?
Custom Fit Gaurds - we have a few pairs that we use for different applications
Delightful
How did you like shooting the CG?
Great shooting guns
30"?
What gun is that?
Driving between stands...very American!
Why don't I see Jonny Carter's name on the 2024 World Sporting Clays Tournament entrants??
Too late after it sold out in 48 hours!
I’ll be about for some side games
"Aim small, miss small. Aim big, miss big."
im a northerner and part of my family lives in the south their mentality will piss you off over time
3:40
that was a very American "ass" Johnny, I think all the time in the US is starting to influence you
А что ?за модели ружья у вас
I can almost hear Ed Solomons deleting your number for having lessons from someone else 😂
🤣🤣 if we could take Ed to America for a few weeks - we would!
If you dropped your jaw a little more I think y’all would sound just alike. English accents are where southerners get there southern drawl.
It fairly safe to say that most USA accents have there roots in colloquial British accents?
@@tgsoutdoors creole accent from Louisiana
thats not american obesity, thats a midsection mounted biomass recoil absorber
aim small / miss small

hummmmmmm
To huge egos meet and are still gentlemen
Hello good videos i have hunting videos
Focus small, miss small

Love the vids Jonny but u got to lose the porn star glasses😂
Guy could benefit from hitting the gym. How can he shoot with such a big gut?
I'm not saying your wrong, but have you ever seen George Digweed shoot?
Stop pretending the British aren't fat
Frankly, as an American shooter, I find this instructor to be very confusing and unhepful.
Different styles of teachers for different students. As an American I found his teaching quite good and straight to the point
Maybe it’s the edit, but Chuck was very easy to follow
I thought his instructions made perfect sense and I can’t wait to head out to the range and try it.
