Absolutely love this video. Picked up so much more watching the second time, and I am trying to emulate your beautiful swing and style. So elegant and effective! Please keep the videos coming!!❤
My instructor just taught me that technique. Night and day. I went from hitting 1 in 3-4 to 100%. Basically, the barrel is 90 deg to the flight of the clay and the left arm comes through a lot easier. It was a revelation...I felt like a kid at Christmas.
I just joined your channel and I am so happy I did! This video is a gift for any one who enjoys shooting sporting clays. Thank you. For a person who has only been shooting for 1.5 yrs as you said, your presentation, mount, swing and follow thru is very advanced looking and pretty to watch. What a great video!
Giles is a very good instructor. As a Level 3 NSCA Instructor, I think Giles is one of the best I have seen. He is articulate, calm, modest, quiet, confident and knowledgeable. He would be welcome here in Canada at any time!
Outstanding instructor who really has a great grasp of the subject of shooting clays and a receptive student who puts his direction to excellent use. Glad I happened onto your video and look forward to more. Thanks and best regards.
Very good information, Giles should start a channel with basics. That tilted shooting at 08:20 is a great idea I really need to start to get used to it.
Andrea, my compliments. The video was very helpful and the notion of angling to keep the rib parallel to the target was especially instructive. One word of unsolicited advice.....don't forget to put your eye protection on while shooting.
Very nice gun too. Shooting isn't too complicted when you consider it. The instructor show this clearly. A few little tips which we can all make use off. Nice video. Thanks!
For only shooting a year and a half, I am impressed. Good shooting, excellent advice and even I picked up a few pointers as a 10 year veteran of the sport. I hope you enjoy the journey and that you find great success. I to have never used the safety on my gun apart from testing if it worked the one time!
Can I please ask why a loaded gun closed at the floor and lifted up through the beater line is better than a broke gun going by and being closed above the line
Mega.. pew pew indeed 🤘🏻. Cant agree more with the rhythm, the sequence before you dust a clay. I love SbS , slow rhythm in, quick flick, dust it and walk out happy. Looking good keep it up 👌🏻
Nice smooth shooting style developing there.. very much like John Bidwells Move, mount, shoot technique. I look forward to seeing some footage of how you get on during an English game drive! Only a few months to wait for the new season now!
Very good and interesting film! Several things i had never thought about before. Do you know if he thinks that the shooter should make that twist with the body (to get the barrels parallel to the line of the target) also in trap shooting? Or is it mostly for sporting?
She asked some very good questions and got some simple to understand answers. Well done. Too many times, the instructor talks unnecessarily, too much and is actually confusing rather than clarifying.
Stanbury et al were shooting game at 15 to 30 yards. Techniques old fashioned now. The problem is that for high fast birds , modern good shoots ,being on the front foot you run out of swing. Digweed , Carrie et al advocate transference of weight font to back foot and moving the feet round to maximise the extent of traverse and prevent rainbowing.
What a great video! Wish you good luck on your journey. Even if I have been shooting clays for a while I wish that I had your teqnique. Would be great to crush some clays together sometimes 😃
Interesting video, both a lesson and a behind the scenes documentary. Rather odd introduction though. An episode of 'Things I keep in the draw of my table', an over and under shotgun, a gun case and I was expecting to see a couple of phesants tucked down there, too, but you cut to the lesson. Very mysterious.
Umm each to there own, but i have never twisted like that on any bird. Just 'because the game shooters do it' does not mean it is right' Stance is a major part of shooting any clay.
Great instruction! The camera work needs some help, though. Too much movement. Good video as far as instruction but work on the camera. It's nauseating.
Really nice technique. Smooth and unhurried. Even when the bird presentation was different to what was expected! Teaching field shooting so might have expected a gunslip to be more in evidence and use when moving between stands as you would with game drives.
Giles knows how to teach, well done must book a lesson with him.
Absolutely love this video.

What a great video! A ”free” lesson with one of the best instructors on the planet. Thank you 😊👍🏻
He is such a game changer!

Great video...perfect coach and clear, logical explanation of the targets!!! Many, many thanks for this video.
It is a fantastic session, one of the best what I can find on UA-cam, keep doing, we compete in Canada.
On my Trap gun… I have used the safety once… when I bought and switched it off. So he is correct. Great video.
Very good information, Giles should start a channel with basics. That tilted shooting at 08:20 is a great idea I really need to start to get used to it.
Great video! I never thought of keeping the rib parallel to the line, tilting is an epiphany. Brilliant!

Thank you so much for posting this video! It gives me a really good idea where to start! Looking forward to more
I can really recommend the "kanted" position. Has improved my results dramatically over the years. Thanks for sharing this video (:-)
You are welcome! Will dig into this!
Excellent and clear instruction. Thanks!
Very good video, lovely shooting ground , setting looks stunning. You shoot with great style 👏
Amazing!
Can I please ask why a loaded gun closed at the floor and lifted up through the beater line is better than a broke gun going by and being closed above the line
5:06 Yeah, that was a wow for me, too!

Looking good keep it up 👌🏻

Awesome instructor great video
Lovely smooth relaxed style. I wish I could be that composed !
Some interesting info in this hat I haven’t heard before. Thanks!
Fantastic!!!
Very cool coach! Thanks!!!
Lots of good information for me as I rarely shoot SC. I would suggest she have glasses on when shooting.

Здраствуйте !Классно стреляете!👍Но не могу понять зачем вы ружье немного поворачиваете на 17.29 мин.?Для чего объясните если сможете по-русски!😁
She asked some very good questions and got some simple to understand answers. Well done. Too many times, the instructor talks unnecessarily, too much and is actually confusing rather than clarifying.
he is just fascinated about you.. 24:48 great post here, such a good teacher..
No recoil pad?
Very nice!
🙏

All true - that said, most people don’t shoot truly high stuff and many of those who think they’ve just shot a high bird really haven’t!
What a great video! Wish you good luck on your journey. Even if I have been shooting clays for a while I wish that I had your teqnique. Would be great to crush some clays together sometimes 😃
Nice Perazzi, think ,I’m Wright people, with 30 inch barrels.
Thanks!
Looks like an mx8
Beautiful style madam 👌🏻
What gun you shooting?

Great video. But he goes on about using the gun safety yet no safety glasses for her???
Great video, but you need to tell your cameraman to keep it steadier!!
This video is great, but I would say it would be easier to understand his comments if we had seen some of the birds! :)
very good, but why no safety glasses on??
Здравствуйте, жилеты очень понравились, жаль что у нас стоят очень много
wow this lady has some extremely long fingers, would make a great guitarist or pianist
No eye protection
Great instruction! The camera work needs some help, though. Too much movement. Good video as far as instruction but work on the camera. It's nauseating.
We weren’t going to post it but the instruction part was so good we decided to post it despite the lack of a gimble, but thanks for the feedback! ;)
Hey there! I was the director for this project. Eager to take your notes into account for future shoots. Thanks for the feedback!
You stress safety in the field and on the clays course. Andrea didn’t have shooting glasses on!!!!!!
Lovely Swedish lady………and she can shoot too!
Talking safety but wearing no eye protection 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
So sad to see an instructor giving a pupil the wrong information that can affect their whole life shooting!
Great lesson....but can I do wish people would carry a shotgun over the arm and not the shoulder!
Really nice technique. Smooth and unhurried. Even when the bird presentation was different to what was expected! Teaching field shooting so might have expected a gunslip to be more in evidence and use when moving between stands as you would with game drives.
