The jackhammer is honestly my favorite weapon in the game. It matches my playstyle a lot, because I tend to spend most of the time in the air. It helps deal a lot of damage and get out of dangerous situations really quickly too. It honestly carried me through p-ranking brutal.
here is how to get used to using jackhammers. step 1. switch only one of your shotguns with a jackhammer and play for a while so that you get used to it. step 2. now that you are used to it, switch all your shotguns to jackhammers and jack off at enemies
redemption arc!!! mega cool. just an extra note alt pump does has some tech as well, it's just pump during hitstop. a part of the jackhammer i see plenty of people neglect as well is the movement part of it. it's especially good in cg, actually. doing a quick flick and being able to fly across the stage to reach an enemy very quickly is really nice to me. everyone who sees this please do consider cause its really fun actually
I sure as hell *LOVE* the jackhammer, although I can't use it effectively, turning a core eject into a hitscan is enough to make my monkey brain very happy
Thanks for giving info about techs of different weapons. Beacuse of you I started to like nailguns and even discovered that coins can bounce off electrisity from jumpstarter and railcanon that helped me A LOT in cybergrind. And now i discovered a few techs for jackhammer also so thanks a lot + I wanted to mention that full charge green jackhammer does not build up hard damage (beacuse it is self damage) so you can instanly heal to almost full hp which is very useful Sorry if I made some mistakes, english is not my first language
I am a supporter of using all kinds of variants and having at least 1 of each variant of a weapon, I have tried many shotgun builds, I frankly prefer to just use it casually with the red version to kill Maurices, but I imagine how versatile the others must be, definitely worth a place in the roster
People dont hate it its just that a lot of people stick to the shotguns and they dont bother trying the jackhammer so im trying to encourage people to at least try out the jackhammer
Grappling onto a Maurice, parrying its barrage (making the whiplash detach) and hitting it with the jackhammer is probably the best feeling in the entire game
Ive been using a full jackhammer arsenal literally since the update dropped lmao. Way more fun and rewarding than default shotguns, especially in cybergrind, even if it's a little less reliable sometimes
the only real difference between the sawed on shotgun and the sawed on jackhammer is that when you fire with the shotgun while charging the chainsaw it will "fire" the chainsaw, meanwhile you can use the jackhammer while charging the chainsaw.
I believe on of the main reason why people dont use the jackhammers is the healing factor. The shotguns are as soon as you get them the best healing source in the game, which is hard to replace for a less wieldy, allthough higher damaging alternative. Malicious core nukes are also harder to perform with the core eject jackhammer than with the shotgun, since it cant be aimed as well. That being said, this video has enlightened me to the power of the hammer, and I'll certainly nail some demons in the future and test some new shotgun combos. (Current loadout as of writing this: 1: Core eject 2: Sawed-on 3: Alternate Pump charge
I use both the Jackhammer and the shotgun and have learned to shotgun swap with the shotgun and the rocket launcher so I can have 2 Jackhammers while still having a shotgun to use while they're cooling down, I always go for the highest damage for the Jackhammers since I can just switch to another weapon while they're cooling off. Something I did find that I think is fairly obscure is that you can "parry" the Guttertank's rockets with the Jackhammer, it's pretty hard to do and isn't that rewarding but it's something.
i bought the game after the arsenal update released and am only now having to switch off jackhammer to clear P-1 for the first time. i appreciate this video showing me what im missing edit: only for flesh prison, who i havent beat yet. im switching back to the jackoff playstyle to fight minos
I was a former jackhammer user, I just used the pump charge variation, but I swapped back after learning how to instakill Sentries with the S.R.S cannon, I just like projectile boost swapping, I might return to it someday but it makes the consistency of the other shotguns kinda whack, and letting go of it has let me learn new things about more underrated weapons, i used to never use the rocket launcher but now as soon as I see a cerberus it's just 5 + E + R + M2 + M1 + F
Me personally, I only use the red jackhammer because 1. I would rather die than have less than 2 projectile boosts 2. The chainsaw has really good damage potential, but tbh that also goes for the default red shotgun 3. It’s a really good way to insta kill Maurice, whiplash, knuckleblaster and jackhammer 4. I can still shotgun swap with core eject and pump charge so yippeee
the 1st and 2nd jackhammer version is strong but my memory is just base to shotguns so i really cant use them even tho i find them cool and funny to have 3 punches. I use normal shotgun on 1st and 2nd slot to still have shotguns but third place i left for it. To always have this "emergency" hammer punch. I think its still worth using.
My loadout’s pretty weird:alt core, default pump, alt sawed on. Pretty much is just me preferring OG over pump, plus combining with SG parry is easier IMO.
i miss when alt weapons were just stronger and slower. if the shotgun and revolver swapped places, their alts would be a single barrel shotgun and a crossbow. replacing a shotgun with a jackhammer is stupid and the two have so little in common.
its not stupid just because they have little in common. the reason why the jackhammer is so different is because its supposed to be a different playstyle with its own mechanics and tech which is why its worth using
hitstop impact frames are straight visual cocaine
I agree lol
fr
Im not gonna sugarcoat it
R + R +M1
i usually whip cancel with knuckleblaster for a bit of extra damage
ermmm heh eh you dont click after you whip cansel!!!! you click and hold BEFORE????? then LET GO???? 🤓☝️🤭 sooooo, youre WRONG...

I’m too used to jackhammer so when I switched back to shotguns, I died instantly because I didn’t get launched.
Thanks for giving info about techs of different weapons. Beacuse of you I started to like nailguns and even discovered that coins can bounce off electrisity from jumpstarter and railcanon that helped me A LOT in cybergrind. And now i discovered a few techs for jackhammer also so thanks a lot

I love how much damage the pump jackhammer can do
my head while i was playing ultrakill: "the shotgun has a lil low dmg, i need a full jackhammer arsenal"
bonus points for shitting around the cybergrind
The hydraulic pogo stick seems like a more accurate name
People hate the jackhammer? I’ve always really liked it.
People dont hate it its just that a lot of people stick to the shotguns and they dont bother trying the jackhammer so im trying to encourage people to at least try out the jackhammer

this dude's voice goes so well with the music at ~0:40
i personally use blue shotgun with green and red jackhammers
the only real difference between the sawed on shotgun and the sawed on jackhammer is that when you fire with the shotgun while charging the chainsaw it will "fire" the chainsaw, meanwhile you can use the jackhammer while charging the chainsaw.
this lets you heal more, since the normal jackhammer doesn’t create very much splatter

Fun fact: the jackhammer is not stored into V1's wings, its actually hes right arm shapeshifting just like the knukleblaster.

My favorite ULTRAKILL weapon ❤️😍
Is it optimal? No. Is it easy to use? No. Is it fun? OH YEAH IT IS I LOVE GOING MONKEY MODE
Great video
In my experience, learn to properly rocket ride mid air so you can easily take advantage of the jackhammer’s knock back and maintain proper movement.

Core eject hammer is my fav weapon
i honestly dont see any reason to use triple shotgun over one shotgun 2 jackhammers|
edit: turn on blood RIGHT NOW
Yeah it’s surprisingly under appreciated despite being one of the most complex weapons in the game (though I don’t use it because of shotgun swaps)
"the jackhammer is insanley fun!" your insanely insane
I had no idea hammered cores dealt more damage than pboost
i would 100% use this if my whiplash wasnt binded to my mmb

its called the impact hammer :P
🤓
it's called the piston akshually 🤓
It's called market garden akshaully 🤓
@@MandarkVonShadd ok nerds :P
The jorker
It's a cool weapon, I just can't get the hang of it. Perhaps more practice is in order.

cool weapon but i like normal shotgun :p
