    Allen & Heath really outdone themself with this mixer.
    For example the new Return C and D, there is so much more room for extra options now.
    I'm already dreaming about the new posibilities with this mixer.
    Although it still needs to be delivered, I am already in love!

      Hi Amilcar,
      Thanks for the message.
      In order to get FX on desired channels on the Xone:96 you need to set up the FX unit in a send return configuration. However, The RMX 1000 was designed as an insert device and you will not get desirable results using it in a send return config.
      Please follow the link below to DJ techtools video on how to set up send and return FX units.

    How do I use a 3 way isolator with the 96? I want it to affect all channels, and all outputs (booth, main, record out). I'm thinking the send return should be the way... but there are a lot of setting on there.

    • @xonedjofficial
      @xonedjofficial  Рік тому

      Hello,
      Thanks for the message.
      Isolators need to be setup in line with the signal path, so for this, it is best to use the master insert. Which on 96 are labelled as SND & RTN (send and return).
      This video shows how to connect to the Master insert; ua-cam.com/video/bK38Y99QP9g/v-deo.html
      I hope this helps!
      Kind regards,

    Hello, Have a question, on the Xone 92 the send return channels have line inputs, on the Xone 96 I only see mic inputs,, it is possible to use both A/B inputs as line inputs? for example as inputs for 2 mono synths, I know must sound a dumb question but can´t find clear info on this, if it is possible, how should be done? thanks

    • @xonedjofficial
      @xonedjofficial  2 роки тому

      Hi Luca,
      Thanks for the message.
      If you have two mono synths, then please connect them to the L/M sockets on both RTN A & RTN B. Then set the input selector on Channel A & B to this source (labelled same as sockets).
      FYI, it is not advisable to connect line-level devices to Mic sockets, as the input sensitivity is too great to manage these types of signals.
      Thanks,
      Luke

    Great stuff, really considering buying this! One question: can you choose/select if SEND1 / SEND2 go to return A / B or C/D? I'd like to connect my 2 FX pedals to send 1&2 (reverb and delay), and let them come in on C&D. That way I can use return A&B as stereo synthesizer inputs. Additionally, I'd like to use the master/insert for a compressor. Is this possible on this?

      Yes, that is all possible with this product.

    What kind of cables are you using to connect the H9 from Send 2 to Return C? I have connected mine like in this video but i am getting a light hum noise. I am using Oyaide TRS cables. Should i use TS cables instead since the H9 has unbalanced connectors? Or will this make my noise levels even higher? If i connect the H9 as a master insert unit (not really useful for djing but as an experiment to figure out the cause of the hum noise) with the same cables i am not getting any hum noise, so i guess its not the fault of the H9 or any ground loop of any kind.

    • @xonedjofficial
      @xonedjofficial  3 роки тому

      Hi Silybat,
      Thanks for the message,
      Noise is a hard one to determine. From what you have described, I would think you have grounding noise!?
      You can use TS or TRS connectors. I should not matter. Terminating a TRS to an unbalanced jack socket will simply terminate the cold signal to the ground. I do not see any reason why it would give you the result you are attaining.
      For troubleshooting noise, it's best to unplug all mains and audio cables, then systematically go through and plug everything one at a time until you find the source.
      I hope this helps!
      Kind regards,
      Luke

    Hi Alex,.. Question I think I heard you say that the auxiliares C&D are both balanced inputs is that right or only A & B are. The manual just says unbalanced for C & D..... Let me know cheers

      @xonedjofficial  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Chris,
      Thanks for the message.
      We can confirm that return C&D are in fact unbalanced. So, the user guide is correct and unfortunately what Alex stated in the Video is incorrect.
      Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
      Kind regards,
      Luke

    How do I run Ableton through one of the return channels?

    • @xonedjofficial
      @xonedjofficial  4 роки тому +2

      Hi P Dub,
      USB return channels 9-12 (from computer) will return on return channels A & B. So, depending on what return channel you would like to come back on!? 9/10 for A, 11/12 for B. You need to set the output routing from desired channel or Bus from the DAW to one of the aforementioned USB stereo pairs.
      For the full USB routing list please check out page 23 in the Xone:96 user guide.

    Hello.
    I connect the Kaoss Pad KP3+ on SND1 and it works correctly on any of the channels RTN A, RTN B, RTN C and RTN D.
    But if I connect the Kaoss Pad KP3+ on the SND2 it doesn't work.
    Is it necessary to have something connected to SND1 first for SND2 to work ?, or is it that I have a broken Xone96 mixer.

    • @xonedjofficial
      @xonedjofficial  4 роки тому

      Hi Da Beats,
      The Sends work independently of one another on the Xone:96. The only difference with send 2 over send 1, is that, it does not have the pre-fade option. So, make sure the channel fader is up for audio to route to send 2.
      Next, make sure that you have the send 2 level control dialled up on the channel that you are trying to send audio from. Also, make sure that the Send 2 level control is turn down (off) on the return channel you are coming back on. Otherwise this could be causing a bit of phase cancellation!?
      If you are still getting results where audio is no passing, then this would indicate a hardware issue. In which case, please contact your dealer or our distribution partner in your country. Contact details can be found on our where to by page.

      It works perfect!!!👌
      With the explanation you gave me now it works for me👍
      SND2 does not have "pre-fade". That is what has given me the solution.
      Thank you very much for the speed and effectiveness of the response, Luke👏👏👏👏👏

    how do i route 2 single fx units on traktor to the send and return 1 and 2?

    • @xonedjofficial
      @xonedjofficial  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Emiliano,
      Thanks for the message.
      Traktor seems to only have a singular stereo send (input) and return (output) for setting up FX routing with an external device. This is accessible in both the input and output (‘external mode’) routing options.
      96 is capable of routing Sends 1&2 and return A&B via USB. This can be achieved with any software that has the routing capabilities.
      The mixer routing for this is as follows:
      Send 1 = USB 9/10 (upstream)
      Send 2 = USB 11/12 (upstream)
      Return A = USB 9/10 (downstream)
      Return B = USB 11/12 (downstream)
      For more info on the software side of things, please contact NI support.
      Best regards,
      Luke

    I understand that there are 6 channels that can be used stereo line or phono. I am right?

    • @xonedjofficial
      @xonedjofficial  5 років тому +1

      Danny, the Xone96 has 4 main input channels which can be used with Stereo Line and phono inputs. Return channels A&B do not have phono pre-amps, accepting line level inputs or Mic inputs.

    Hello! I am facing difficulties with the Xone96, I mix vinyls + DVS (Traktor) & ableton.
    Could you please send me a detailed tutorial to route and set up both traktor, ableton in order to use the effects of Ableton during my mixes, on the XONE96? I am really struggling and there seems to be no videos or tutorials for such a set up.
    Thanks in advance!

      Hi Edward,
      If you would like to check out the Xone:96 user guide. There are detailed instructions on how to set up the mixer for Traktor DVS on page 30.
      There is also the full sound card I/O routing listed on page 23. It will be good for you to study this so you know what is going on the mixer’s interface front and back end.

    It's a shame you can't assign channels A and B to the crossfader.

    • @Gruftgrabbler
      @Gruftgrabbler 4 роки тому

      Hmm for me a crossfader is in fact not important. I think I could live with a mixer without one or with the possibility to repurpose it for id don't know, everything more useful than the crossfader
