Dropping the 100 lbs of misery weight I put on after a spinal cord injury with these exact methods. Doing it from a wheelchair with zero movement below my chest. Calorie restriction and the typical 3 meal diet would have never had these results. I’m 70lbs down in less than a year 💪♿️

Visceral fat is caused by eating more calories than you burn and not moving enough. A waist circumference of 80cm or more for females and 94 cm or more for males could mean that you have too much visceral fat.
Fortunately, there are proven strategies you can follow to help reduce visceral fat. Some of these include eating fewer carbs and less added sugar, doing more aerobic exercise and increasing your protein intake. By trying a few of these strategies, you can lose visceral fat and improve your health.
To prevent visceral fat, focus on maintaining a healthy balanced diet and keeping physically active.

Do eggs reduce visceral fat ---------
Doctor Deborah Lee, from the Dr Fox Online Pharmacy, recommended adding eggs to your diet to do so. She explained: “Many studies have shown that increasing your protein intake helps with weight loss - and this includes the loss of visceral (belly) fat. “One very high-protein food option is eggs.
Eggs contain a nutrient called choline. Researchers believe it turns off the genes for visceral fat gain. Athletes often use it for bodybuilding and delaying fatigue in endurance sports.

Does walking burn visceral fat -------
Increased exercise energy expenditure at either walking speed produces equivalent declines in visceral fat in postmenopausal women, and with sufficiently long impulses, should reduce disabilities associated with central obesity.

Five foods that may help burn belly fat include:
      - foods with soluble fiber like fruits, vegetables, and legumes.
      - foods with protein like meat, fish, eggs, and dairy.
      - fatty fish like tuna and salmon.
      - foods with probiotics like yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, and kimchi.
      - green tea.

I lost 100 pounds in about 4 or 5 months on keto and omad , but I've hit a wall. No matter what I do I can't seem to lose the last 25 pounds. It's still a blessing to be 100 pounds lighter and not worry about diabetes. Giving up carbs is hard, but after awhile you don't miss them too much. I still eat my favorite foods on my birthday and Christmas. YOLO

I've been on a keto diet, and cardio based program for 4 months now. Lost 23kg in 1 month, but for the past 3 months I've been stuck to the same weight. Can't seem to get rid of that stubborn fat. The only explanation I have is I went too extreme and my body adapted, so I strongly advise to take it step by step. If you don't, your body will adapt too quickly. Also, make sure to eat lots of fibre, or you might get constipated. Constipation stops fat loss.

I lost 60 lbs on OMAD (no sugar) since Aug 2021, then stalled about a year in. But was happy. Decided to lose a bit more and cut down only veg as carbs so kinda keto. Lost 10 more last May. Stalled, then tried a mostly carnivore and got a bit more weight loss and below 200 lbs, still 40 lbs above the charts.
The surprising thing was when I was on carnivore, I one day notice I felt a lot better. Thought it might be less pressure from gas or something. Spring in my step kind of better. Notice I could get up and down with less complaint which helped with some under lawn tractor repairs. Also discovered I can touch my toes without any hamstring pulling. This is something I have to admit I couldn't really do without bouncing for 40 years. It just happened, no exercise, no stretching.
I'm wondering if this toe touching is an indicator I'm into burning off some of the visceral fat since the toe touching without stretching the back would require organs to move about easily. I've still got torso subcutaneous fat. I won't win any bathing suit contests. But the easing of movement is where I see the real win.

    • @beckygillaspy
      @beckygillaspy  10 місяців тому

Interesting. It certainly makes sense that touching your toes would be easier without the physical obstruction of densely packed visceral fat.

I don't eat rice or pasta because I never had a taste for it. The only starches I was consuming were oatmeal with almond butter and the occasional turkey burger. I wasn't eating a ton of calories. The cramps were agonizing. Feels like my muscles were tearing during an episode.
My trainer told me to up my carbs especially right before bed and that has all but eliminated the cramps.

You don't wanna drink much without some good salt (like pink himalayan salt, NOT table salt) inn it when doing low carb and fasting, like a little bit with the coffee and so on. Then having sparkling water with some lemon concentrate inn it (to not ruin fasted state) when you get thirsty and if you workout drinking that instead of just water to refill that sodium. Some people need extra potassium as well, but I found as long as you workout, the body regulate the sodium/potassium balance for you.

Dr. Becky, is the enriched wheat flour the culprit wiht carbs? is that what should be lowered?

Dr. Becky, I’m wondering what you think of a Carnivore diet, obviously very low carb by default. However, I do know that protein does cause a little bit of insulin release, but I cannot imagine that it would be huge spikes with say, 2 burgers (bunless) for supper, for example, with some cheese slices on each. I seem to do really well to control my blood sugar in this way and find the diet very satisfying, whereas with vegetables, I find it causes bowel overwork/gas, etc. I simply wonder if you have any research on visceral fat reduction and a carnivore dietary approach. TY!

Strict near-carnivore diet, one meal a day, since early December. I’ve lost over 30 pounds - and six inches off my waist - but belly measurement at my navel hasn’t dropped much. I feel too tired to exercise but maybe I have to.

I'm sure they will say definitely, yes, in fact it's important and beneficial to stay hydrated. Some medics are also suggesting that coffee does not break a fast.
