Feb 2024 Lunch and Learn--Dr. Michael Blakey

Our February Lunch and Learn will feature Dr. Michael Blakey (National Endowment for the Humanities Professor of Anthropology, Africana Studies, and American Studies, Director of the Institute for Historical Biology, College of William & Mary). Dr. Blakey will be discussing community-based archaeological research on African American burial grounds. Dr. Blakey's Clientage Model is a concept he and his team developed in his work on the African Burial Ground in New York City in the 1990s and is the conceptual underpinning for our work with the Montpelier Descendants Committee.
