From elementary particle towards Spirituality, from each step to the next the inescapably and restless work of evolution.
A lucid and even riveting discussion of conscientiousness and free will etc. I think it would have helped to talk about the complex biology of systems. It is how these complex systems (the brain) not particles by themselves that give rise to special emergent properties which allow the brain to perform such activity as data processing, memory, analysis, language, imagination and consciousness itself.

From elementary particle towards Spirituality, from each step to the
next the inescapably and restless work of evolution.
As always, Greene skillfully articulates the most interesting parts of complex systems theories with ease and approachability. Great discussion!
TIME DILATION AS IT IS FULLY UNDERSTOOD, AS E=MC2 IS F=MA:
The physical significance of the known mathematical unification of Einstein's equations and Maxwell's equations (given the addition of a fourth spatial dimension) is understood as follows. E=mc2 IS F=ma. Time DILATION proves that electromagnetism/ENERGY IS GRAVITY, AS E=mc2 is DIRECTLY and fundamentally derived from F=ma. Gravity IS ELECTROMAGNETISM/ENERGY.

Very interesting, deconstruction in every sense of the word, we are always in IT.
One of the best Q n As ive ever seen
Great conversation between two scientific minds of modern time that mix both science and philosophy. Some age old issues are being revisited and discussed.
BAM!! Where there is Brian Greene I watched it!
Thought they were going to do a duet. UNTIL THE END OF TIME. a love song
I bought all of Brian's books and I bought black hole blues from Janna. I need to buy her other books.
One of my favorite scientists
Brian Greene, Well said.
This was great. Thank you both ❤
I know he's married but I honestly have such a crush on Brian Greene and have for a while now. Excellent. As usual
Imagine, in the nexts century, we discover, something new and more thinkable, this will showing us , there’s no limited in science.
at the beginning she says: "we rarely see each other, let us chat together like we are alone and ignore the audience", and of course he then barely even looks at her when answering her questions :P
Thank you, Martha Real
Janna does a good job here.
People are always seeking answer to life. Like is there free will ? What is consciousness ? It is nice to see people sit and listen (36:45) to what great thinker has in mind.
My two favorite physicists. :3
2 of my favourite physicists
11 dimensional Multiverse is the most significant insight since the realization that we aren't the center of the Cosmos
WOW! You have once again, Brian Greene, blown my mind. You have taken me beyond where I can actually think. I'm surprised no one else has commented on this. This talk with you and Janna Levin must have taken place months before this was put up on UA-cam and before the Coronavirus Covid-19 Pandemic because you are before a crowd of people and sitting way too close to each other. I would love to get your thoughts on this pandemic.
Qualified presenters on specific topics have the advantage of knowing what they're talking about, and if a comment not necessary to the presentation does not conform to a direct follow up on the topic.., starting all over to re-orient from the required first principles is years of work.
My favorite duo. 👍🏻
Janna Levin Shines ❤️😘
