I’ve used many saddles in the past and this has got to be one of the most comfortable saddles. When you forget about the saddle during a long ride, it’s done its job well. Also came with the bike I bought so that was a bonus.
I had the stock bontrager, went to vault and i was amazed at the difference it made to not just comfort but the extra power and endurance that came with the comfort.
Have had a wtb volt for a few years now. Been on 3 bikes and best saddle I have ridden. Covering is durable and no tears or rubbed through. Had to discontinue it because it has an annoying squeak that I can't fix. But that has been under my ass since 2016, so not bad. For now using the ergon that came on my pole because for the 1 hour rides I do it's ok, but next purchase is another wtb volt.
It looks similar to the old WTB Rocket V I ride. I buy the Ti versions used and recover them in smooth leather. Love them. I may have to try a Volt sometime!
I did some reading. Apparently the Volt is based on the Rocket V, but with a reduced Whale tail and a more refined XC race design. Interesting. The Rocket V is very comfortable for me except when I push to the rear of the saddle, the whales tail is a bit uncomfortable. The Volt sounds better in this regard. Usually when I re-cover the Rockets the tail gets rounded off somewhat, for a better feel. Anyway,I'll keep the Volt in mind if I decide to get a Saddle new.
Phillip Stevens i tried a rocket a long time ago but it felt too small for me so wasn’t great. This Volt is just perfect so far. It hasn’t bothered me once. Easy saddle to sit and get it done

@@mtbtelly5522 yeah for sure, thats cool your local has demo saddles that is an awesome idea, i found the bonty saddle on my remedy great, just got a 2020 ripmo af came with a silverado i hated them years ago cant imagine my butts changed haha

@@mtbtelly5522 I can confirm the Fabric Scoop Shallow was a disaster for me. I don't know why, maybe the radius would have been better. But yeah, no it was worse than the stock saddle and was painful and horrible.
Just a bit of back and forth with a few climbs to get it where it supports me best with no pressure anywhere. Its just past level with the nose tilted down a bit
Has anyone tried this and the Speed? Heard great things about these but the speed seems to have more padding and more cutouts for flex on the base - so could be comfier?
Still happy with this? been on the ergon enduro for a couple months but just havent been able to get on with it. The middle scoop just feels weird. Think il grab this and only $70

David Hughes the scoop comes in Radius, Shallow, and Flat. Which are the profiles of the seat. The radius feels like sitting on a horizontal pole so stay away from that. The Shallow is comfortable and doesn’t really push anywhere it shouldnt. And the Flat is quite flat but also comfortable. So the shallow or the flat would be fine. ChedengMB yeah I’ve not gotten along that well with any ergon stuff as yet. Def give the Volt a crack. You’ll find the sweet spot but thats a good starting point
Haha, do you have the nose angled down a bit? If you put a level on the seat the nose should be pointing downhill a touch to have the seat in a good spot. But yeah it might just not work for your booty
@@mtbtelly5522 I've tried to do some adjustment, it just doesn't fit me. The width should be ok, but I think the problem is with those seams that are quite hard. That's what I feel on my butt on long distance ride. I saw wtb Rocket in store yesterday which still has those seams, but generally felt softer to touch and has a bit different profile. I might try that one if I don't see anything better. It's the base model for 36eur, so worth a try.
No disrespect meant, but this review was just awful! His Australian accent, is often difficult to understand because he either speaks too fast or kind of mutters.
