Nowhere to hide Stolen Honda PCX 125 Scooter in Southampton 050418

- After receiving an Automatrics motorcycle tracking unit motion alert we contacted the owner and they confirmed their 67 plate Honda PCX 125 scooter had been stolen. All that remained was a few parts strewn over the floor, including the ignition barrel.
We received a GSM cell site location to the West of St Denys and a cluster of GPS positions from some residential tower blocks a few miles away from the theft site to the East of Redbridge in Southampton.
Hampshire police contacted our find team as they were heading to the motorcycle tracker reporting location which was only 20 minutes away from our offices.
We arranged to meet the police to search the area . But as the stolen scooter was not visible the Automatrics radio finder needed to conduct a radio tracking search of the immediate vicinity with police. The highly accurate radio tracking facility immediately leads the finding team inside one of the residential tower blocks. View where the radio search leads to see the find operation unfold.
Our apologies to our subscribers and other viewers for the reduced quality of this video, unfortunately we had to switch to a fall back camera which did not have the rather essential automatic stability.
I think the Yamaha owner should thank the Honda owner for getting their bike back lol
Also should get a tracker
@@k1er4n544 yea haha, this is really the perfect advertisement for the Yamaha owner
PIXLEYEZ I think the Yamaha owner needs to run, not walk to AutomatricsMtrack and ask how fast can they install a tracker.
I think the Yamaha owner should pay the damages the Honda owner incurred.
@@ssss-df5qz I would be happy to if his bike was found with mine
Gotta love the multiple locks, gives an insight into the thieves mind. That and the fact all it would take to break into the shed is a screwdriver shows someone isn't too bright
When I lived in Japan you could
Leave anything outside, including
Bikes and it would not be touched.
Theft does occur, but quite rare.
It is a shame the UK is like this.
japan have not lost their cultural identitiy through mass immigration, so they look out for each other as fellow japanese. yes, it is a shame for britain.
That's what happens when u open the boarders and let any body in.
It's all the plan.
Flood the UK with cheap labour from poor backgrounds to keep wages down. Skilled workers become cheap and scum roam our streets.
The cities in this country are becoming third world nations.
Obviously not every1 from Europe is an issue but that was the governments agenda to slowly start destroying the uk.
Just like Greece
A freind of mine was a diplomat in japan and told me years ago of a cadillac left in the street by the US embassy. Years later it was still there ,although covered in advertising stickers..ha ha
mr ed èngland was like that 30 years ago .everybody new there nieghbours even the whole street.people didnt move around much .generations stayed close.now with mass imagration england has lost its community spirit you barely speak or know your nieghbours let alone look out for them.
That's true, alot of my ancestors lived in SpitalFeilds, Tower hamlets and Bermondsy. The first lot moved there in 1685 ! and many cousins still lived there in 70's. Not the greatest address in London then but at least they were british .
When I get a motorbike, you're getting my money on day one. Love your work and videos, really exciting to watch the recovery of a person's beloved bike.
Having had three small motorbikes stolen in my time it gives me great pleasure to see this recovered before it was trashed or stripped.
Not everyone who rides a motorbike does so for pleasure, it can be a vital link to work, my first was my only transport to and from an apprenticeship (about 8 miles) once it was stolen it became a daily miserable commute on an old pushbike.
One note on the Police, bits of my first one were recovered and they saw how gutted I was (no money to rebuild) they pushed for compensation so with the insurance (minus excess) I came out about about even, stellar response from the Police but that was back in the 80's, I expect they would not be funded for the time now.
I have had two attempts on my scooter in the last month and West Midlands Police haven't even got resources to go and view the CCTV footage covering where I park. Nowadays the force seems to be just for issuing reference numbers for insurance claims and not tackling low level crime.
@@gthbtn - what do you expect after ten years of Tory govt - they don't care about us plebs - they are very secure behind their gates !
My friends Honda Goldwing was tracked To Derry in Northern Ireland after being stolen from Manchester as the teltonika tracker battery and bike battery were both flat as it hadn’t been used in some time it taken 4 weeks from being stolen to the tracker being reactivated when the bike engine was started up, he driven to Northern Ireland and it was found in a garden shed
All of those residents know motorbikes are being kept in those sheds... THIS is where the issue lies, whatever happened to neighbourhood watch..
oh whats up, we talked about tower hamlets earlier :)
Small world... Very random lol
Now kiss

The 'neighbourhood watch' is broken . . . Very few people want to be involved, as they are too busy
with their own life and secondly they avoid additional problems they don't need.
So if you were dying on the street after a fall, for example, the possibility of having someone stop
and assist you are next to zero.
It's a jungle out there.
Society has degenerated over the past 50 and 60 years.
Even reading some of these comments it becomes obvious that there is a very high level of illiteracy
and thus Education. and so many have the attention span of a house fly.
It will only become worse over the next 50 years.
You will start noticing the changes after 2024 -2027
And when you know history well enough you will recognize those years as significant.
Knowing History tells you much about the future.
It's council housing so most of them are scum anyway
Soon as I saw all them locks on that door and then the hinges front mounted I knew this was a mastermind criminal at work
Sending just a PCSO shows how little the local police think this is "real" crime. No wonder the numbers of bike thefts are so high in that area, there's probably little fear of detection.
bren106 for a PCSO, he did his job superb
What would a police officer have done differently?? Not exactly an urgent call isit...
TBH its all about prioritising isnt it. Go down your local A&E and you will see why there are no police on the street, because they are tied up with drunks, druggies and those who need checked over by a doctor before they can complete the custody process. Seems like a good use of a PCSO in this case.
to be fair in my area we have some proper police that are doing shifts as pcso due to gov cutbacks
All this talk of Gov cutbacks yet we can afford to monitor 24000 suspected terrorists
Loads of locks but hinges on the outside hahahahaha
james goodwin at my old council lockup in Essex was the same, they do it so that if you fail to keep up the rent on it they just take the door off and empty it without damaging the door frame and just replace the locks.
Either remove the hinge screws or drift the pin out... designed just for a few garden tools etc. Damage almost nil.
Yea classic that is all them locks but left the basic hinges.
Bang on that makes total sense. The eight screws were very easily removed from the two external hinges and the door pulled out no problem, without any damage.
@@AutomatricsMtrack - LockPickingLawyer even sells a tool for easily removing the hinge pins and you don't even need to unscrew the hinges.
Go on tell us. After having all those locks on the doors you unscrewed the hinges didn t you lol.
Yes Sir
Dash Cam Das I clocked that when the door was standing there.
All those locks 🔐.... garbage 😉
@ AMT :-)
You can lock as much as you want one one side - the hinge side is the vulnerable area.
I wouldn't have thought of it. Then again I haven't tried.
I though they were going to gemmy the locks off.
The 268 Flat occupier should be taken in for questioning. They will of course give a no comment interview after denying any knowledge of who used their storage. Despite there being multiple locks on. Now if there were no locks they could simply say someone must have put the bike in there.
Not being from the UK; In some other episodes they mention doing "forensics", if they take fingerprints can't they compare with the residents?
In Hampshire county due to the volume of motorcycle and scooter thefts and policing finance cuts they are adopting a policy of no bike forensic unless blood present. Apparently they know the bandits use protective gloves. Having said that, the bandits may not have been so careful when it came to the tools in the shed and the bolt croppers, so they were all bagged up for forensic checks.
In some other vids, the police told the owners if they wanted forensics they had to pay. Little wonder Telford happened.
Hold Fast .......or. if they ahdnt nicked it to start with they wouldn't have ahd to say any thing.....
AMT I think this is tragic because the technology is out there, what happned to finger printing and DNA analysis and finger printing?
Excellent videos and always a bonus when other stolen items are found. Unfortunately , the police aren't turning out to theft complaints very often now but when a location is confirmed they do turn up...a very good reason to have AutomatricsMTrack on your side.
The police didn't come out when my motorcycle had been stolen. I disturbed the thieves trying to take my trailer as well. I gave chase in my car and passed a police van parked outside a shop with a broken window.
You should carry a cheap inspection camera. Can see though keyholes, into gaps etc. Only £15 on amazon + android phone and ish adapter.
Yeah we tried a specialist police unit one on a find a few months back, but that was pretty poor as it didn't have enough back light. But guess it's still well worth another look for a good one. Thanks
How much al!express £ 5 .
backlight as in screen backlight?
Wouldn't have that problem with one that works with a phone.
And if you mean image backlight, i supposed you could shine a flashlight through another gap at the same time?
@@AutomatricsMtrack Repo men use them often, in the USA to see if vehicles are in gurages. They can't take Vehicles out of locked garages but they can check to see if the vehicle is actually in there. This is obviously assuming they don't create any kind of a damaged.
@@AutomatricsMtrack Ridgid (plumbing) camera's are great, all sizes, and with lights, I used them a lot.
this vid was so good it made me forget that the stolves was on and made the oil get caught on fire
6:05 All those locks.... and the hinges are on the outside of the door!
Knock out the hinge-pins and voila!
268 is lying. its their allocated shed
you dont know much about thieves and how they operate do you?
Too right in fact they have 2 sheds each flat, I know cause I lived in same design flat just round the corner this flat is in Wimpson Lane, Millbrook so they stole it from St Deny's and brought in here, I walk past this flat twice a week.
orju, im not a thief so no. anyway, that shed would be allocated, so theyd know something about it, im sure.
Bike thieves use private garages like this all the time, it's not hard to figure out if one is in use or not. Put a small piece of tape on the edge of the door and door frame for example, see if it's disturbed after X time, then you know it's in use. There's many other ways. If not, you could probably hide stuff in it for quite a while before anybody notices. It's not uncommon that several garages would be "hijacked" by the same group and used to store multiple bikes in. Look at the door frame where the original lock is, it's smashed up indicating forced entry, replace the lock and add extra locks, job done. The fact a block has private garages available does not mean the resident must use them, usually they're offered to the resident as an optional additional cost.
There's no extra cost for the flat owner for sheds even though each occupant has 2 sheds each and the biggest ground floor flat has in fact 3 sheds there's 1 just inside the lobby way for them.
Another great recovery. Quality is fine, it's the content that makes the video.
Stunning what you lead the Police towards, hats off to you Richard, as always. 👍🇬🇧
PLEASE GET IN TOUCH WITH THE BBC . this is brilliant..............you've done more for crime prevention than anything I've seen since The Sheriffs. You are the next big thing........... People are getting fed up with antiques and furniture restoration. GO FOR IT.
Bravo Automatrics. I've had a couple of cheap chinese trackers now which work fine (sans the RF features) but thankfully I've not had anything stolen to need to use them. I imagine if I do, the GPS coordinates alone won't be very helpful without someone like yourselves going out there to track kit down with the police to the last meter. I'm converted!
Cool .... theft recovery as you've noticed is more about the service, but sure we also utilise the best and most reliable kit that has ever been designed for theft recovery :)
Where does the meter come in - as it a gas meter, or maybe electicity meter?
We use UK English here, it is METRE, not the dumbed-down US English where two words that sound the same but spelled differently is confusing for the (non-private educated) average state educated American.
It helps our kids learn the language better too.
This could be my dream job. Great job gentleman! Wish You the best in Your business!
Your a Hero we need more trackers this theft is getting crazy
Following some channel comments we are looking were appropriate, to possibly include some suitable, action relevant audio backing music. We have completed an experimental version of this recovery with the removal of some of the bleeding obvious narration "like the scooter is now on the recovery truck". It came out to us looking pretty cool although we will need to perfect this additional edit if it is going to be a way forward. We choose not to post this time as experimental.
We agree that subtle audio at relevant times could work out. We are keen to offer viewers more. Just putting this idea out there for general comment please .... Do you think if done well that this could be a good idea ?
AutomatricsMTrack Personally I enjoy the raw nature of your content, very satisfying when you find the asset and recover it (especially if it's a motorbike!). Spending lots of time in the pre-production edit would obviously be a good marketing tool for your company's services and showcase the professional way you handle things, but in my eyes you don't need it for UA-cam only content. It's already apparent you do fantastic work. Making it too polished / TV documentary esq. may get tiresome quickly for every job? May even run the risk of the more easy recoveries seem a bit under dramatic and not worth the effort to produce and even post? Dunno, just my 2p. That being said, the BBC piece done about the R6 was fantastic!
Perhaps invest a little in better filming equipment? Maybe something a little higher quality mounted on a small gimbal for better stability? Lots of options for GoPros out there. No idea what you currently film on (guessing a phone?).
Cheers for that very helpful feedback
AutomatricsMTrack i think you raw videos are good .its the content that counts .the product sells itself i dont think you need to try too hard to gain viewes.imo sorry i just read comment above after i wrote mine ,but gonna leave mine on as possibly have a valid point
No that's a great comment to hear.... it's a little subjective we guess, we are not in the filming business we are in the theft recovery business at the end of the day
AutomatricsMTrack I'd agree with the previous comments, the simplicity of your videos is a positive and probably makes you guys standout a bit more from the crowd . I'm sure it'll be good with music as well but definitely not necessary in my opinion
This is brilliant, especially for the police intel!
I have watched these videos and am very impressed. it is a good Ad with real stories.
Although the video was posted a few years ago, it was good to finally see a location where you didn’t have to travel at least 3-5 hours.
That is one diligent and professional PCSO. If I had to work with the police in my job, I would rather work with him.
No arrest, police doesnt even try to arrest anyone ... great recovery.
5:35 the moment when the pulse becomes clear always gets me like tracking Alien
Normal people who have to live next to these low lives have my heartfelt sympathy.
Wow! In UK, Bikes has own room? Fantastic housing policy!
Police go to flat 268 and politely ask “We are investigating a bike theft, do you know anything about it”
Of course flat 268 will deny everything. What did that police officer expect?
5:50 - What's the point of having a joke of a combination lock with accessible screw heads on the front of it, when there are the strap hinges which are fitted on the _outside_ of the doors? Those lockups are useless; anyone with a screwdriver can gain access. No need for the police to damage the door.
That plastic copper girl looked like she was annoyed, that she actually had to do something! 😆
Love the ease of recovery. You should be a detective
When someone said St Denys, you were in Shirley Road/High Street....
Stellar job... I will call up the garage my bike is at as it's being fitted with Trakking at the moment and if they haven't already done it I'd rather swap to you - as you said, if police just went to the location then they'd say it wasn't there and leave
Good idea !
Done and done... Probably talked to you on the phone, ordered my unit (y) probably useful to know what a good marketing tool this type of video is (especially for someone living in Southampton)
I think your equipment is 100% bloody incredible
5:50 So.. It has a combination slide lock - with all the screws easily accessible. That's.... dumb.
I would love to see follow up videos of thieves that got caught.
they don't get caught cause this country is a joke
Please, NO music. All we have in common is an interest in stolen stuff, our musical tastes will be so diverse.
I love the security all the locks you just remove the screws on the hinges On the other side of the door
Top job!. Hope they can also get a lead on the lock up owners details and then have that leed to a further conviction! Thanks boys! Keep up the good work!
Insurance companies could employ people to follow this up but prefer to just increase premiums. Plus manufacturers could make improved security but again no incentive as they can just sell another one
great find, track and vid .. well done all...
Darren N absoutly perfect job i couldnt agrèe more
Wow, it would be impossible to just stumble upon it hidden within block of flats, in a shed that's locked with 4 locks lol.
The thief's protecting the bike behind the multi lock door better than the victim.
You got 2 for the price of 1 there, and a case for the other owner to have a word with you to get a tracker fitted
The lockup didn't look conspicuous or anything 3 extra locks and painted over number lol
In my country we have a couple of companies that track vehicle theft using helicopters. They have pilots on 24 hour standby.
You fail to state what country?
Never heard of that, it sounds very expensive and unnecessarily polluting.
Tyres get fixed and windows made to be replaced the rear end is part of shell .but the doors and front wings bonet bumpers the lot can be replaced
should have popped the door back on with a rolling camera on the inside so we an see their faces when they open it and go "Bugger".... your nicked matey!!!
Well done chaps, another successful job done.
As usual great work. Hope they get some dna or prints off the tools.
Keep them coming lads! Well done on the cracking recoveries.
Oh the irony of the thieves having extra locks.
Nice work, I actually live in southampton, just wondered how much this tracking costs?
You are doing a amazing job again the police are a wast of space
They're not, sadly they don't have the sufficient powers, money & backing.
@@mattone926 how much are the police paid, its gone up and up, of course they can't afford more police, £800 per week or is it more now and they retire what at 50?

Inflation is a TAX, not a reality. It makes you're money worth less.
You need to look at the bigger picture. TAX is theft, money is printed for notching by 1% of the population and lent to governments at interest who than charge TAX to pay it.
Well done guys... Top top work. Bikers are safe knowing they have you on there side.
Any devise or system to help recover stolen vehicles, in part or whole, has to be a good thing!
Often theives are so fast that to catch them in the act is virtually impossible but if catching them in possession of the vehicle is made inevitable then its not only a good tool for detection but also a good deterrent once the perpetrators know that they run the highest risk of being caught.
Wow thats definatly a good evidence bag for the bolt cutters. WTF
The black box you may be able to get into behind the eignition barrel but that just twist with screwdriver inside
That would be Wimpson Lane in Millbrook, not St Denys, I do like it when I see an extra recovery
4 locks on the shed door but face fixed T-hinges.. Wow!
good work I had someone try and unsuccessfully hotwire my black honda pcx luckily i managed to sell it but had i got my hands on the person id have gone mental
Nice job mate I think your doing a great job but you need to know your aeriers as that was millbrook not sant dennys just thought I'd say but good fined

I fkn hate bike thieves. I had a BMW R1100RT - the 1996 75th anniversary edition. They used hydraulic cutters to get the locks and the chains then forced the steering lock which broke the frame and ensured it was a write off. They think "it's insured, victimless crime" but because I had nobody to claim against it goes against me personally. I am now paying more than £1000 a year for comprehensive insurance for the next 5 years until that theft has cleared my record ( Basically I pay the insurance companies back with hefty interest ). I was paying under £200. What's worse is they only stole it to joyride. They blew the engine up.
Now I ride a moped on 3rd party only because it's all I can afford.
heh the checking the right door thing was funny. the door with a load of locks on it and the number sprayed out kinda gives it away.
Enough evidence to arrest it's in his own shed!
you dont really believe theyre stupid enuf to leave stolen bikes in their own shed do you? it didnt look like an opportunist bike theft
Do you steal shit, then break into someone elses shed and leave youre stolen shit with someone elses unstolen shit?
We all have a responsibility to make sure stolen goods are not stored on our property. No place to hide they are cowards.
what often happens is people are forced thru intimidation, to give up their space (shed) or "asked to look after" an item, criminals target people who are weak and unlikely to go to the police thru fear. The police cant be there all time to protect them and the criminals are generally living on the same estate so know whats going on.
That shed will all my other shit in it, that i blacked out and installed 5 locks on has nothing to do with me.
I think I enjoy these videos as much as the "smash-em-up" traffic videos from Russia!
See lots of these scumbags driving stolen bikes around Millbrook and Coxford with full balaclavas and no helmets. Would be a great shame if someone were to “accidentally” knock them off their stolen bikes....
I often wonder how much it would cost to get one of the systems fitted
under £400 worth it definitely.
Following some recommendations from our comments received on UA-cam, we now cover the truck recovery cost. This helps owners where possible to "not make any claim on their insurance". Theft insurance claims cannot be blamed onto third parties so they can often wreck the owners insurance profile for at least 5 years, with some heavy premium increases from various insurers as personnel insurance claims profile information is shared. Getting a stolen scooter back can help avoid or reduce such insurance profile damage so that’s likely to be also a possible consideration these days.
lol
I was thinking more along the lines of a small quantity of Semtex!
airbag w.o. the bag ;)
The logical answer is to buy a bike that no discerning thief would be caught alive stealing. 🤨
Potentially saving you a small fortune in annual tracker subscriptions! 🤣
Thought the first moterbike was the same what one what had been stolen 3 times
Very similar, same colour scheme, the 3 timer was a Yamaha R6 600 cc. This one was Yamaha YZF 125 cc
Nice cozy looking neighborhood! I wonder what's behind the rest of the doors. It actually makes me feel better just to know that where I live is not alone in the game. Had eight houses burgled on my street and the nearest crossing road in three days last week. As I think about it, I live just 40 meters from the fourway intersection so cars will always slow down but I may have noticed one in particular that seemed to slow and accelerate directly in front of my gate. I say may have noticed because I have seen it happen several times in the last weeks but I did not pay attention to the car model. Not that slowing to take a peak into a slightly obscured yard would be overly strange. Everyone is curious about everyone else, that is completely normal, and I made a pretty yard that might merit a slower pass if anyone is like me. I slow down when I see nice things and pretty girls or wild boar crossing the road.
NOT ST DENYS THAT'S MILLBROOK! 18 MILES AWAY!
GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT.
St Denys has no tower blocks and is a quiet area.
Millbrook is a Warzone!
It used to be we had no need to lock door of dwelling house when going out.
Just proves criminals are not that smart... all those locks and didn't even consider the door hinges are exposed, made me laugh.
Lucky owner my bike was never seen again, smart thinking of getting a good tracker
I could not get insurance at any decent price for my last bike unless it was kept in a locked, brick building ! Thankfully, it was never stolen.
Just leave alone great as the video is love the raw nature of it
The British police don't give a hoot about stolen bikes,
Did you watch this video ?
Wow, I lived not 200 meters from that location...
I think the recovery truck is a bit small for that scooter, do you have anything larger?
It's quite common to see larger flatbed trucks with one small item strapped down like a bike. Even saw a mobility scooter on one once😂
I think they send stuff like that as it's not worth having a smaller vehicle on fleet to pick up the occasional small item and it's likely on it's way to another job in any case.
Captcha code entered lower and upper case on Samsung S3 phone 4.4 android Firefox and Alba tablet 7 android Firefox. We used to track down naughty cb and amateur pirates and hidden transmitters jamming repeaters back in the late 90's, lots of fun but we were careful not to confront directly without backup. I appreciate what you are trying to do but you really shouldn't give away how your system works, any radio signal can be jammed or shielded, I'd still like to know how many bases you have in the UK . The police cars had 4 aerial Doppler df units on their vehicle roofs and they were nationwide .
Who installed the hinges on the outside of the doors of a lockup? LOL!!
Small mistake at 1:02 that is NOT St Deny's but you are going into Shirley High Street and it looks like you have gone into either Shirley or Millbrook.
Why done the trackers also have remote immobiliser activation? that way the vehicle can me disabled at convenient spot
That's not st Denys it's Shirley and Millbrook but I'm enjoying your videos keep it up 👍
bloody millbrook not st denys
Yes ....Shirley, Milbrook, Redbridge area the SIM connected to St Denys
I thought that. I live in Northam.
It's nice seeing someone be able to move a bike correctly without dropping it. Fair play.
Its not rocket science, just keep it leant against you slightly, and it won't over balance the other way !
The door number 268 has been painted over in an attempt to hide it so it looks to me.
@Mr Debex - you are a genius, no-one would have spotted that !
Bastards 😡 The cheek of all those locks for security
good service but I wonder if the thieves decided to educate themselves and use Faraday cage, RF transmitter would be useless
Should have knocked on their door, claimed to be the from another flat and told them that it looks like someone has attempted to break into their storage area. They would have gone and checked. Leave the door off its hinges and have the policeman waiting inside.
Ooh, just down the road. We'll done to all involved in recovery
Fantastic you found another stolen bike.
