  • A construction company contacts Automatrics to report a stolen excavator. The Takeuchi TB 235 3.5 ton compact excavator was taken over the weekend from a work site near Sudbury, Suffolk, England.
Automatrics send a signal to connect with the covert Automatrics MTrack theft recovery tracking system. The unit connects OK, however no GPS fix can be received from the unit. Automatrics deploy a RF radio signal finder to the reported local cell site location to try to locate the stolen machine. Follow the finder to see if the machine can be located and recovered.
Please note there is at least one shock event in this video with swearing on camera. This has been left in to depict accurately events as they occur during this Automatrics find operation.
Automatrics plant security tracking systems can be found out at www.trackersec...

I heard a small contractor in New Jersey painted all their equipment purple with yellow dots. When one of their excavators were stolen they called a popular local radio station with a description for some assistance. After the station had asked their listeners for some help for this contractor, sure enough somebody was looking right at it while driving home from work.

@@MrPlusses Way back in the late seventies and early eighties when Kimberly Clark had logging rights in eastern Manitoba and northwestern Ontario they had several pieces of equipment painted a beautiful acrylic bright flourescent watermelon color.
However, to steal any piece of their equipment would have required a several hour haul on a dead end road with only one exit to Highway 11.
I would have thought they did this to spot their machines when workers would leave them afar from the main logging site, just prior to crew changes.

By using barn without permission, the owners can't tell the police who are the theft because he REALLY don't know. It's even pretty common that farmer find some stolen car on their barn and have to call the police ^^ No joke ^^

You'd have to be deaf AND blind to miss all that. If I was this guy I'd turn the volume down when I get close AND only do one or two passes of the property if it's out in the sticks like this. and I definitely wouldnt get a drone out unless it was literally the only way of seeing inside.

I would say that cottage haad LOTS to do with that theft TBH, as soon as you were noseying in that barn, too quick to be any other reason, the Beibergh district (Hadleigh/Sudbury etc) area does have a fairly high crime rate, especially plant and lead/pipe etc, and there are a few 'traveller' camps including a large one just west of Ipswich that is renowned for crime. Manpower for Suffolk Police is getting to dangerously low levels sadly. A brilliant result, and that Claas tractor could have even been nicked from their UK HQ just off the A14 near Bury St Edmunds, about 20 miles or so from Sudbury

What threw me was Sudbury, that is in Babergh district, and he was just off Duddery Hill in Haverhill, which is fairly high up, and about 4 miles or so from Ashen, which strangely is partly in Suffolk and Essex. I did think Richard risked his life, his every move was being watched from that house, too much of a coincidence, he did put himself in danger nosing about, now that is a rookie mistake, he had the RF signal, but impatience got the better of him on this one, Police attending will have been from Essex, not Suffolk, cross border requires special permission from duty control, the brand new CLAAS tractor will have been a bonus for police, the mind boggles why manufacturers of heavy plant do not factory fit RF and GPS tracking units, especially as around here you are barely an hour away by road from the largest container port in Europe, and within a couple of hours, your nicked plant can be on it's way to anywhere in the world
