Just to add a random tidbit about the Rosa house - The terminal at the nearby Red Rocket has an entry labelled 'Rosa Restoration' and mentions a 'Rosa widow' from Sanctuary Hills. She was restoring a classic Corvega with her son, and apparently did an impressive job, only requesting help from the RR mechanic for the engine since that was out of her depth. With that evidence, it definitely makes sense that the Rosa residence would be the one that has all the workshop stations!
I know people already mentioned Red Rocket but there is also a warehouse in Diamond City. It's a small unmarked shack right near first base. If you walk up to the door it says "warehouse." The underwater vault would have been a nice addition.

Having a Children of Atom neighborhood and church in Diamond City would've been great. It's a big idea though, to have a potentially hostile faction in such a core location. Also if they only half-assed it just to include them there it would just come off as missed opportunity therefore better w/out. The tunnels would've been great too but thankfully with the mods I'm sure you'll cover, Diamond City Expansion & Fen's Sheriff Department, Diamond City finally feel's more complete.
