On a Fender offset, like a Jazzmaster, the bridge is supposed to rock to help maintain tuning stability. It's a feature, not a bug. I'm inferring that you think it's a bug. If not, then never mind. 🙃
@@stevesoldwedel I did have that thought, that it COULD help with tuning stability since the grooves of the strings won't slip over the saddles. I can see the point but I'm having mixed emotions I must say.
Made a ' Zappa Roxy SG' out of an Epiphone 61 custom shop reissue and some 4 conductor humbuckers. Cost very little, and is incredibly versatile. Zappa's wiring setup on this guitar is so simple and cool. It has split coil, and out of phase. And the coils are reversed (I had to open up a pup and flip the coils. So if you're using both pickups in split coil, you get great noise reduction.
The Skylark 5A sounds like out of this world, my Taylor 314ce looks angry at me while I´m writing these lines. But one day I will own one myself. Thanks for sharing Paul.
So nice that Gibson located the volume knob, so you could hate it like a Strat too! At least they had the foresight to put the whammy bar over the top to protect accidentally turning down the volume. We saw the precarious technique with the finger under the whammy to perform the volume swell, which is less than ideal. Combined with the whammy/volume knob interference - and that train wreck of a bridge, it's hardly an improvement on an actual Strat. If the saddles are meant to move with the trem, there's this block system that's been around for a while - some of us might have actually seen it.

I may be wrong, but I believe there's a selector switch and knob wiring configuration for the strat called the Hendrix wiring.
