I just got the MiG-21bis, so I'm pretty close to finishing my MiG collection. Unfortunately, the last two MiG are in German tree, so.....I'll probably finish it next year.
(Not to mention the whole Chinese tree)
Why such dedication, you may ask? Well, I just like the look of MiG aircraft, especially the MiG-21.

@@hanrenfighterjet Yeah, Soviet and Western fighter design doctrine diverge pretty far apart during 70s-80s. Not sure myself how would they implement it in game.

@@f100dsupersabre6 The SR 71 was just a reconnaissance air craft. The MiG pattern jets are FIGHTER jets. The SR 71 didn't have any armament. They eventually created a prototype of the SR that did have armament, but keep in mind its JUST a prototype. Idk if they already released it for production.

@@f100dsupersabre6 The yf-12 was a prototype interceptor that served as the basis for the sr-71 but the yf-12 itself never enter service. Even if a interceptor version of the sr-71 entered service it would never be practical as interceptors need to be able to take off quickly to intercept incoming threats while the sr-71 with its high maintenance and need to be refueled right after take off would it make it useless as an interceptor. In contrast, the mig 25 could take off at a moment's notice like any other ordinary fighter.

I love the yak-30 and the yak-38 it so sad to see them all alone makes me shed a tear
Pretty sure yak started focusing on drones and experimental things of that that nature.
We got the Yak-38 just two patches ago.
Aside from that we could get the Yak-25 and 28 interceptors but they are not very meta at all.
The Yak-41 will 100% be a thing at Rank VII but we are ways off.

MiG-21, any variant. It's sleek retro look reminds me of a Northern Pike, a quick and powerful Icthyoid horror. The 21 might have been the very first model jet I built.

A mach 4 radair guided missile which can be lunched by 50 km and exelerates only the first few secound and after that is nearly invisebel is more op in the beginning.
R60s fall into the middle of the spectrum of missiles at top tier imo. R60s track better than aim-9js (I think) but then you got r550s and your choice of various SARH missiles

The it wouldn't be that good because the mig 25 was a pure interceptor with speed and missile in mind. It means that it's almost impossible to win a dogfight with any jet at it's br

Man I know this isn't related to the video but I just hope I'll one day see the btr apc/ifv family in the game, ik they're technically armored personal carriers but cmon all along history the've been used as infantry fighting vechiles and the 14.7 mm machine gun on them is just as efective as a 20mm autocannon I am not joking, and the new variant with a 30mm autocanon or the BTR-90 are just infantry fighting vechiles with some even carrying atgm, I hope I'll see them when I'll return to Warthunder or atleast one day.

I don’t fly planes at all in war thunder, but going off looks alone, I like the mig15. It has that classic 60s era look where it just looks like a jet engine with a tail, wings, and a cockpit bolted on. It looks like the plane was bolted onto a engine

But meanwhile it's very hard to play because of its newer opponents that can carry much better and even more missiles

The MiG-31 is an actual mistake to be added, nothing would reach it, it will outrun everything, all the while it can track & engage more aircrafts than any other, do I need to speak about the range of it's missiles too?. the 25 however would be good but if added later it will repeat the English Lightening case.

The Mig-21bis is my favorite but is very OP in the sense that it has much better speed ,climb rate and turn rate than the F-4e which is why I am suggesting that you add the B-52, F-14 and to go along with it the Russian mig-23 and the TU-95 .

My favorite is the shenyang F-5 nothing like hitting that after burner and rocketing into combat however I mostly use it for high speed carpet bombing with its 250 pound bombs since the harriers have kinda been dominating jet to jet fights recently

most likely not for a long time as the plane for that year was the SU-27 which is alot superior then any other jet currently in the game so planes are going to stay behind a few decades

I am so ready for the MiG 29, my favorite jet by far
I would suggest lowering the br of the mig 19s as its every oponent has missles. The mig19s has no missles so i would put it 9.3 so it doesn’t play with planes with weapons that are inaccesible for the vechicle. Also it has no defence against missles because it has no flares. I know that it would be non historical to add missles to this plane. That is why lowering the BR would be nice and i would stop losing hope in this game and stop being concered about its development.
But keep in mind it is just a friendly suggestion
A supersonic plane at 9.3.... sureee. What we need is BR decompression, not further lowering BRs.
@@alexander-it6mx i mean 9.7? The plane isn’t even that good. It hardly is supersonic. At combat speed it is like 800kph or lower. And can be achived by the mig15 bis with no problem.
Let's not only look at the performance when balancing things. Think any it like this. With it going down that low in begins to face the F9F G91 F86 F84 A4B ect. So with what it would face on the regular it would be impossible to kill. It would be the most broken thing to ever be added
@@pinkbunni1230 In that case i would raise the br of the F100 (supersonic with missles on 9.7) and decompress the br to 12.0 or 11.7 and leave the mig on 10.0 while reising the star fughters to 11.3 and some other planes up the br range. This would also give oprortunity of adding new vechicles. If the br was for exaple 13.0-14.0 it would allo of the addition of planes like the Su-33 or f-16, f15
@@bruh6540 the star fighters at 11.3 is kinda high. It's only fast with no turn but can be caught by MiG19s. The way I see it, we would need separate tiers for top br. So the F100 F4C lightning T2 MiG19 and garabage MiG21s could fight leaving the subsonics out. And the top bois like the F4Es good MiG21 F1 mirage and J35 could fight with those busted AAM against only each other
