    I can't even express how much this channel and specifically Thomas Joseph has made a difference in my cooking blunders. I'm no slouch in the kitchen by any means, I was raised in the kitchen and took culinary all through high school, catering, and culinary competitions. So I have experience but even still sometimes things just don't turn out right. It can be very disheartening and discouraging for many people. The saddest thing I've ever seen is people letting their bad experiences prevent them from achieving their kitchen goals. Some people let a few bad turnouts to define their abilities and just concede to "I'm just a bad cook". Nobody was born perfect and even the best cooks have their turn of disasters. That's what I love about Kitchen Conundrums, it helps you to identify what the problem was and how to address it. If you're feeling just like you'll never get there, don't give up! Try and try again.

    I quite enjoy your videos. Very informative. Much appreciated. For egg washing irregular surfaces (like your pie crust creations), I like to place the egg wash in a spray bottle, then mist the entire surface with an even coating of the wash. Cheers!

    Inside of the circles for the double crust pie you can use the leaf cookie cutter and it’ll have a cute fall look.

      +rosagrapefruit Brush the tops of the top crust with more egg wash and the pie comes out golden brown and shiny. Really pretty!

      Water. My aunt uses water. Just a dab.

      You can use instant coffee mix it with water , It will give you a beautiful golden color.👍

      Use agave / maple syrup + water, gives u a nice golden colour and shine :)

    Most pies require the pie crust edges to be covered with a metal pie crust guard or a homemade tin foil one so it doesn't burn. How are you getting around this issue with all those elaborate pie crust edges? A metal pie crust guard wouldn't fit over those beauties.
