    Italy is so full of incredible works of art. The cities are so cultural and beautiful and so much of history is preserved. So many Italians are either artist or musicians or both. Europe is a beautifully preserved historical environment.

    Papasidero, along with a few other villages nearby, are old Greek settlements where mostly Greek is spoken. There you can attend Greek baptisms of young children on the grounds of lovely Greek churches. Not far from there, are coastal towns where Napolean and his troops stayed. Maiera, a hill top town made of stone is worth the ride up there. Diamante has lots of outdoor frescoes as artists did not have drawing paper during World War II. In the national forest are archeological digs and crystal caves dating back 16,000 years. Also in the interior of Calabria are magnificent monasteries . Calabria is an absolute jewel.

My mother was very upset my grandfather sold the family farm and emigrated to the United States (debt). My mother did not feel poor in Italy way she felt in the USA.

      Siamo dovuti scappare alle prime luci dell'alba.
      Manco in Sicilia o in Puglia è successo una cosa simile!
      I siciliani sono stati ospitali con noi non ci hanno disturbato ma l'Etna si con il suo brontolio. 🌋

    • @xixixi5532
      @xixixi5532 2 місяці тому +4

      @manuelmartellucci3038 i camperisti hanno la brutta abitudine di gettare i rifiuti dove capita e svuotare le acque nere ovunque. Quindi se è vera questa favoletta che hai raccontato che vi hanno lanciato le pietre, sempre se è vera, potrebbero avere avuto i loro buoni motivi. Fatevi un esame di coscienza. La Calabria è famosa per la sua calda e generosa accoglienza. Milioni di turisti possono testimoniarlo.

      Je suis sur que vous n'avez jamais mis un pied en calabre pour pouvoir dire ça ! Mais vous me direz certainement le contraire. Je peux vous dire que je suis originaire de cette région et on est tres loin du tourisme de masse genre Benidorm, Florence, Paris etc déjà parce que les hôtels comme vous dites et infrastructures sont quasi inexistantes. (Aéroport, gare, autoroute). C'est très mal desservi en revanche la région est d'une richesse culturelle historique et de beauté sauvage à couper le souffle. Le sud de l'Italie est juste très abandonné donc déjà très pauvre puisque la calabre est une des régions les plus pauvres d'Europe. Étudiez voyagez et cultivez vous avant d'écrire des énormités. Bonne journée.

    Live in Milan and born in Rome. Been to Calabria many times. All over. The beaches are beautiful and the food is delicious. Beautiful people
    Cosenza, and so many more. The towns on the mountains are beautiful. They are very clean and picky who stays in their hotels.I am not into regio Calabria. To much like Sicily. What about the other places. Like Cosenza, catantazo. Very beautiful.
