Hey Guys, I'm getting a lot of Questions about the bags and people are questioning the price etc. Just to paint a clearer picture, THAT INCLUDES EVERYTHING. Let me break it down a bit. The bags cannot be ordered as a whole unit from H-D. You have to individually order every latch, nut bolt, inner, outer, etc etc. The parts are roughly $2,000. Then to mount the bags you have to change the struts and add docking hardware to mount them to. Then we had them custom painted. Notice the glossy black paint on the outer shell (Done by a world class painter). They come with a dull ABS outside otherwise. That's a few hundred dollars. Then we need to assemble all the parts when they come in and install the bags. This costs labor. Then you have to pay the government sales tax. The way we do business here to be be very transparent and upfront about costs etc. I could just tell someone the bags cost $1,900 bucks then slap them with a bunch of hidden costs as the job progresses. We choose just to be very upfront about every cost involved to get that bag in it's final state installed rolling down the road on your bike. Hopefully this helps. Nothing we do is marked up over suggested retail.
I thought you already made that clear in the video as you’re not really saying anything here that differs from what you said in the actual video! Love the content man, wish we could have your weather over here in Scotland!
As a 2019 Sport Glide owner, I tend to agree. The only real gripes with the bike were the exhaust (cobra 909 slip on solved that), the passenger pillion for my wife (Sundowner changed that), and finally the fairing. I am still looking into a replacement. The 107 is plenty power for me. I ride pretty casually, so the front suspension (although inverted, not the same) and longer rake do me just fine. I think she did an awesome job with the build!
Great job Nancy, killer build! Matt, ya oughta have someone install a sensor under that door mat so when you roll onto it it'll open the door for you! No more getting off the bike or waiting for someone to hold the door while you roll on in hahah. Keep up the good work brother
@@MattLaidlaw great clip. I wish you were up here in the bay area. But this particular video got me. Did I hear it right when you said that S&S pipe is sold at Harley dealerships and tuned there as well? So as not to void the warranty?
Thanks for watching. Yea, most dealers are going to say it can't be done because it isn't a part/kit you can just buy out of the catalog. For a price almost anything can be done.
Good vid. I like Nancy’s style. I appreciate the long Ride Matt. My 2020 Street Bob is sleeping under a blanket in cold Indiana, so the “ride along” with you was very therapeutic.
I've had sportsters, and old shovel flh and rode dynas. After 23 years of riding a few rivers and various different Harleys I ended up with a electra glide standard and I love it. I'm 6'1" 210 so the electra glide fits me well. Nice build, everyone has their own idea of the perfect bike.
Hey Matt, I just want to say thank you to you and the own of this bike. I just bought a 2020 low rider s. I just saw this video and had to go back to the dealership and order parts to make mine some what like this bike. You did a great job and it's a great idea. So keep up the great videos because I'm a new subscriber to your channel. Thanks again 😊
Very good review. I have both a 2020 FLHTP and a Low Rider S and you are exactly right. The touring bikes are certainly smoother and isolate the rider better. The S transmits more of a mechanical feel to the rider. I do differ with you where at 16: 34 you say the touring bikes require more strength. Actually they require more technique as seen here ua-cam.com/video/8ke96K6zJ94/v-deo.html. That's my 125 lb wife on her 900 lb Ultra using zero strength but, just 3 techniques.
It's sick. Looks really complete and consistent. No corners cut, plus some uncommon cool ideas. Thanks for sharing. I haven't yet run into the girls who build and ride stuff like this. Needs to change.
I'm looking at the RWD TXR fairing like this one, but I'm hearing that I have to buy a 2006-2017 Dyna headlight. Looks like you guys were able to use the OEM FXLRS headlight. Did you make a custom bracket? Or is there one out there? Thanks in advance....
I’m curious if the exhaust we got is not 50 states legal on a m8 here in California would it be case by case for the warranty or will it automatically be voided?
Those are wise words on the aftermarket tuners. That's why I just leave mine stock, except for some slip on mufflers until the warranty is up. After that is when I'll do engine mods. Currently saving up to do a trask turbo kit on my twin cam RK. That Low Rider S build is one of the coolest I've seen.
Out of respect and privacy for the owners we don't disclose the total price paid in an open forum like this. If you'd like to contact us and have a discussion about a build specific to your bike then we can discuss pricing on similar parts etc.
Those floor boards are awesome, that how it should be built, can you share how much are those and where we can get those? And that switch for auxiliary lights is very well mounted. I would say she built it very well, good job. Thank Matt fir the video
This build is why we love Harley Davidson , Indian motorcycle eat your heart out us Harley guys and gals make are bikes our own ride Harley makes that possible with pride
great job on the build Nancy. very cool. I agree with you matt if you ride a lot on open highway than touring but if you don't softail is the way to go. much lighter and will be quicker just due to weight. the touring bikes weigh so much more - it is like you have a permanent passenger on all the time. great review on this bike also.
Matt does your shop have that rear turn signal and plate bracket set up. If not how do I get my hands on one. Sweet bike, shout out to your crew for the work they did.
That's a great build! But I do have a question. I'm not crazy about the look of the Softtail Fat Bob, but I think I'd like the look of the Fat Bob's fat front wheel on the Softtail Lowrider S. My question, is it possible to do that?? To me doing that, would make it look more like a Dyna Fat Bob, which I like! I like the look of the bars Nancy put on her bike. And with other bikes I've been on, the taller bars work better for me, as I'm 6'-1". Thank you, any input you can give me is greatly appreciated!
I have some questions about the fairing and others. I have a 2003 883 Sportster Custom with Wide Glide forks. It's in the shop, right now, so I can't tell you what diameter they are. I'm wanting a fairing that I can put speakers in. Eventually, I want the FXRT or FXRP fairing on it. I'll get into that, in a moment. I just rewatched your video with the Low Rider S and the Russ Wernimont fairing. I have been looking for a smaller fairing, for the time being that I can put speakers in, whether it be a T-Sport fairing or some other style that have been made for Dynas. I know that you probably like Russ Wernimont's stuff, but which ones do you think will work to out speakers in (including Plex Audio), and which of them are the best quality? For the FXR fairings, I do like the Russ Wernimont's for the fact that you can out speakers in them, but I don't like how they're kind of hollies out, and have no glove compartments (or whatever they're called). They are cheaper, but Big Bear Customs has some really nice ones. They now have the lower legs in carbon fiber. I'm hoping that they make the fairings in carbon fiber, too. What do you think about the different FXR fairings that are available, as far as quality, features, and price? Also, I just found out that Villin2Hero makes a bracket for their FXR fairing for Sportsters. Whatever one that I get down the line, I will see about buying the bracket, here. You may want to share this information with Sportster riders that want this style fairing.
Sport Glide already has: saddlebags, cruise control, hydraulic suspension, longer rake, so for touring purposes it appears much better option in my opinion. and cheaper for sure.
I liked your presentation of the custom low rider S. AWESOME! I live in Florida and find the lane splitting, while legal in ca, really super dangerous in Florida. I really appreciate presentations. Thanx
Very cool customisation. Beautiful bike. One small gripe though , the way the clutch cable sticks out across the windshield . . . aesthetically an eyesore. Not sure what could be done about it. Hydraulic clutch maybe ?
I just have to say that whenever I watch one of your reviews of the different models, I really like your honesty about those models. Seems like with this build the owner knew just what she wanted. I wonder though the cost of this build vs. a Sport glide with a 114 bump and the additions like footboards, bars, taller windscreen, seat, extra lights, engine guard, if this model would cost less?
Out of respect and privacy for the owners we don't disclose the total price paid in an open forum like this. If you'd like to contact us and have a discussion about a build specific to your bike then we can discuss pricing on similar parts etc.
Nice build for sure, she put some thought into what she needed, and went top notch with the build. I myself would not spend 30 grand on a low rider, and all in that's where she's at maybe more. Great video Matt!
Things must be different in the US , Im in the UK and Ive had an aftermarket tuner (FP3) on my last 2 Harleys and have had no issues with the warranties. I questioned this with the dealer when I did the stage 1 on my old Iron 1200 and they said it wasnt a problem at all and wouldnt impact any warranty claims.
Matt - is that TXR fairing specific to the 2020 FXDLS? You mentioned 55mm fork clamps and I was wondering if you used those on a fairing originally meant for smaller mm tubes. I bought a TXR fairing for my 2016 FXDLS and before i got a chance to install it, my local dealer made me a killer deal on a 2020 and I'd like to use the fairing if possible. RWD was unfortunately no help in pointing me to any possible 3rd party hardware solution (trying to sell me another fairing I'm sure). Thanks man.
Dig the Low Rider S. And what was that Blue Beauty with Ape Hangers in the back drop? Say NO rubber mounts on the Low Rider? Wow. Still a very nice ride. A friend had one of the original low riders. It's still on my list. But I really like the FLHCS too. Decisions decisions.
Matt, you mentioned the tuners and factory warranty but what about ESP’s and a aftermarket tuner? This bike is tough as nails, I’m sure she is proud of that thing
Fantastic looking bike!!! Love the LRS and the apes really suite it. Although I think the back end would have looked tidier if that stock brake light was removed and the licence plate bracket was fitted lower with the HD combination brake/turn signals. Crazy how HD get away with charging so much for luggage bags. Givi is a much higher quality product but they don't look as cool I guess.
Awesome looking bike! Saddle bags are not what I would go for as I prefer the look without, but if I was touring I would most definitely want that bike over bikes in the “traditional” lineup! Girls got taste Edit: forgot to say how awesome those fog lights look, great idea!
Very nice build. I was surprised at how comfortable those bars are. Initially I thought they were too high compared to lower Z bars. Pipe sounds great without being too loud. I'd stick with mid foot controls. Seat is good though I'd opt for a rack, top box versus panniers. I have a 56 litre Givi top box which is lockable.
On the build overall about how much more money did it coast to get it to that level. Interested in building my bike out like this one get back to me when able
Love the Slim floorboards on there \m/ Glad to know that's a possibility. I'm considering trading my Slim for a low rider but I don't want to lose my floorboards it's my favorite part of the bike.
I've always been able to fit more in a backpack or duffel bag on a sissy bar myself. I feel like you keep the look better that way too. Just my opinion.

Sweet build. This lady has good taste.
Absolutely beautiful and damn near exactly what I'm looking to do. Congrats and good job...
