Wow, that garage was a job. You're a hard worker, David. The canning shelves still look great. We used a lot of meats over the winter so I'll have to get out the canner and restock. Prepped my garden last week and will plant seeds tomorrow. Ugh, I start on our garage next week. The highs will be in the 60's through Thursday so hope I finish by then. Stay safe and healthy.👍😀
Hello JT, I am thinking your in Florida not too far from me, is that right? East coast or West coast? I have not yet decided if I am doing a garden this year, maybe a small one. I usually start around this time of year. My preps have been dwindling since 2020. I have been focused on getting everything in tip top shape in case we are unable to do so in the future. I am just about finished painting the house and the roof should be complete in a few more days as well. Thanks!

Wow very cool. I've been downsizing and organizing for years. I can only do a small amount at a time because of health issues and when I have energy. I had to watch tutorials because I knew nothing about organization. definitely need to get rid of stuff before you organize. Then just pull everything out and put into big categories. It makes a worse mess but then it's all worth it. Last you organize small categories screws, tools, paint etc. I think your house will be great once it's all done. Hows the chicken coop? Looks nice to me. When you're ready for babies let me know. I'm in Central FL and can throw some eggs in the incubator. Barn yard mix. Currently have 3 roosters and 15 hens.

What about adding some roughly 4' supports on the end of the shelves and down the middle. It would be much stronger.
I do have 4' supports down the middle of each section and I do add additional support when ever I have a shelf that I load up with more weight. In some cases I will even double the leg supports so that the shelf is not "hanging on hardware". It all depends on what your going to put on the shelves. Awesome, I can't wait to see it finished. I have made a coop based on Carolina Coops as well for a family member. But I'm keen to design a bigger coop for myself.
