  • I plan to spend a lot of this coming winter working on getting the Homestead back in shape. It needs a new roof, new siding, fresh paint, new well pump and landscaping to name a few things. This is going to take some time. What are your plans for fixing up this winter?

I know how you feel we have been restoring our farm since 2015. I love the sound of chimes. The Oklahoma wind rips them up. A homestead is a lot of work but well worth it. Look into hurricane shake roofing. We put that on our home it’s impressive! Take care! Wendy🧡🎃🐞

The storm ended up going a bit further North and we did OK. Thanks!

Before you start any new projects there are chickens out there looking for a home. I am building same coop following your videos. I did mine with poured concrete footing, concrete block filled with concrete on top of that. You have put so much work into that coop and your so close. You can do it. Lets see that final video of you scrambling up some fresh eggs for breakfast.

Homesteading videos are more interesting than rentals as the way the economy is going more people are trying to be as self sufficient as possible on their land.

You did pretty good during the hurricane, sad to hear you have to continue the chicken coop in spring, but priorities first, I'm digging out the foundation for my chicken run, been super hot here too.

Remove weeds today and they're back to the same height within 2 weeks. The joys of living in Florida.😳 This year I hired someone to do the work, now need to hire him again. Have a fantastic weekend.🌴🌞

Hello JT, It never ends... I am ahead of them at the moment but I know they will catch me again. :)

I hear ya. I only have a quarter acre but I just can't keep up. You get rid of weeds in one area and they come back in another and you just can't keep it nice. I look forward to the chicken coop when you get to it again. Looks done really.

Just checking in. Did you ever get your electric truck to pull your trailer up here to Michigan?
We came down to oldsmar florida this past march and April. Already have reservations for our Florida 2024 trip.

Hey Greg, I do have a Cyber Truck on order but I don't think we will actually get it unless the price is right. I am currently driving my old Dodge Ram 1500 that I have had for 16 years now. It has issues, but its hanging in there for now... Thanks for stopping by! :)
