This channel is reallyyy helpful. There's so many channels dedicated to natural, but not relaxed in 2017. Big thumbs up. Thank you!!!
Ciara Sims main reason im starting mine. I want to bring people on my journey with me. I don't have thick hair and i think i can be helpful to some people out there.
Most youtubers won't reply to comments especially when they've been asked severally. You make a special effort. I think your beauty isn't just external. You're a star!
You're so sweet! Thank you so much for watching!
You make wrapping your hair look so easy!! I can't even do it my hair doesn't stay together it just falls. But for 2016 one of my resolutions is to grow long thick and healthy hair like yours! 😊
i think its easier when the hair is longer
Dede_xoxo. I can't wrap my hair either.
It's soo tempting to start relaxing my hair again. Your hair is so beautiful and whatever you're doing you need to keep doing it. Can't wait for my hair to get to your length, natural or not.
im so glad i found your channel! i have recently been making some lifestyle changes and that includes my beautiful relaxed hair! i have been finding it so offensive how 'natural hair' is always best. because i have been receiving relaxers since i was a child and people ALWAYS complimented my hair.i just want to show people that relaxed hair can be healthy and grow long!
yes it can! Thank you for watching! And keep us updated on your hair journey!
+ESSNTL do I do this every night I wrap my hair
Londons_legacy there's nothing wrong with relaxing your hair but just know it there's nothing healthy about relaxers js.
It can never be healthy using something that breaks down the "natural" state of your hair, its just keratin and elastin which can be easily damaged by chemicals....
Relaxers is not only bad for your hair its bad for the brain underneath....A certain amount will enter your bloodstream via the scalp.ASK ANY CHEMIST i.e scientist.
But yes it it your choice to use it.
mhmm well actually my hair is perfectly healthy and i have gotten realxers since i was 6.
Too bad your natural now 😭😭😭😭 i cherish your relaxed videos
i get a relaxer twice a year....spacing them out helps me alot .. your makeup is gorg!! we all fall off the hair wagon sometimes... great video
+sataram08 lol teach me your ways
+sataram08 lol teach me your ways
Na I couldn't go that long
i stretch my relaxers but my hair is breaking like crazy
xNnix xVvix i recently attempted at stretching again for 16wks and realized its just not for me. Sometimes we have to see how things work for ourselves. I dont have thick hair and dont need anymore shedding or breakage which i did have this time around smh lol. Hope you relaxed at whenever is comfortable for you.
Right now you're my favorite hair care UA-camr. You're so chill but you're still informative. And you're results are beyond impressive. My goal is to have hair to my mid-back and it's about an inch below my collarbone right now. Thanks for all your tips :)
Thank you so much for watching! Be sure to keep us updated on your hair journey!
everyone i know uses infusium 23 had long hair like this girl. im gonna try this
I am beyond thrilled that I came across your video. I loved my relaxed hair and decided to go natural but it's truly not for me ( to each his own) :)
You have gorgeous relaxed hair! Where did you get your coconut oil from?
thank you! I get a giant tub of coconut oil from Sam's club! Its only $14!
ESSNTL hi love your videos. can you do a video on protective styles for relaxed hair.
after watching your videos i am definitely inspired to finally start taking care of my hair 😭. I noticed you only moisturized and sealed just half way down is that what I'm supposed to be doing because I'm doing full head moisture and sealing does that contribute to heavy hair because i hate that too
Yeah I only moisturize the ends of my hair because I HATE heavy weighed down hair lol.. and usually the ends are the driest parts of your hair.
so you moisturize your full head after you wash then until next wash you only moisturize and seal the ends. I gotta give it a try too thank goodness i found you channel lol
Clarisse Uwase me too
i love your videos. I have relaxed hair and always get discouraged bc I used to be natural. You and ppl like Hairlista give me confidence in my hair and confidence in growing it to be long and healthy again. Thanks for your videos :)
+Gwendolyn Alexandre glad I could help! Gotta let people know, relaxed hair grows too!
I know this is an old video but, it is very helpful. I also need a good trim. I will do that next week sometime with a new relaxer. I only get relaxers twice a year, winter and summer. So it has been about six months. I am also trying to grow my hair, using great products. Thank you for this video.
I love that leave in condtioner! I use to use it when I had a body wave perm but I still use it now that I am back to natural!
I’m so glad I found your channels, I’m taking notes and going to do better in caring for my hair. What type of dryer do you use at home
Omg watching you wrap your hair was like witchcraft!!
You are so awesome!! You have beautiful hair.
That top is sooo cute and so is your hair 🙌🏾
I recently had my hair damaged by my beautician by him trying a new product on my hair and when I say the past couple of months I've been watching and following some of your stuff I'm happy to say my hair is looking and feeling so much better!! glad I found your channel. question how often do I need to moisturize and seal my ends?
I like to moisturize and seal once or twice a week!
ESSNTL awesome thank you so much! you ladies rock
You're so beautiful! Your makeup was on point, love the lipstick :)
Beautiful
Have you ever had any damage? What would you suggest for damage from perm On nape and edges.

Do you moisturize your scalp each week?
so happy i found yalls channel its sooo helpful. how often do you moisturize and seal?
Hi,how many times in a month are we suppose to moisture and seal our hair?
Please do you moisturize everyday?
what kind of brush r u using? is that a regular denman brush? thanks. by the way-your hair is absolutely gorgeous!!!
Thanks so much for your videos. I do my own hair and I needed more tips.
you're very welcome! Thanks for watching!
Do you moisturize and seal your hair every night or every other night?
what are your thoughts on the GROganic products?
Hi.....just found ur channel and subscribed! Why r u only doing the ends? What about scalp and mid-shaft? How often do u moisturize and seal them?
Could you show how you straighten your new growth. And how you actually wash your hair. Do you wash your whole head or just the roots ?
+CupcakeCatastrophex I wash the roots of my hair and let the shampoo just run down the rest of the hair shaft. I also make sure to deep condition my new growth to make it more manageable and easier to straighten. I'll be making more videos soon.
Can you still deep condition and moisturizer and seal or is that to much moisture for my hair
+nyja harris yes, you can do both. You have be able to tell what your hair needs, everyone is different.
Oh alright thank you
Hello ! very good video. Your hair is GORGEOUS! you can be proud and hair growth is amazing.
I love very much your video, make more videos please
Have a blessed day !
Do you grease your scalp? If so, how often and what product do you use? I find sometimes my scap gets so itchy, dry and flaky.
I don't grease my scalp that often but I have dry, itchy scalp as well. I deep condition regularly and when my scalp is really dry, I'll do a hot oil treatment. Since I wash my hair once a week, I don't get dry scalp that often anymore.
Your hair is absolutely amazing. I was just wondering what type of natural hair do you have. And is it possible for all types of hair to get to your length?
I believe its possible for all hair types to retain length and I am not sure of my natural hair type, I've been relaxed since I was really young.
+ESSNTL, I am SO green. I never thought to use leave- in conditioner nightly. I've only used it after washing, and I don't wash my hair often. No wonder why my ends are thinning. Just found your channel. Thanks! :)
Yes, leave in conditioners are life savers in a bottle! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video, if I may ask , what kind of hair relaxer do you use and which would you recommend to you fellow blacks? Secondly , how long do you moisturise your in a week, monthly or.....
I favorite relaxers are Soft & Beautiful and Just For Me. I normally moisturize my hair as needed. I deep condition every time I wash my hair and I wash my hair every week.
Am so glad I found you!!
+MAMOE MOYO thank you so much for watching!
How often do you moisturize and seal
I know his is late but can I use Cantu leave I. Conditioner and for the seal can I use an argan oil?
Hi, great video. Is it safe to do this every night? Do you know if this applies to children's hair also?
yes you can do this every night if you like. I normally do it every other night. And yes this applies to children's hair too.
How often do you moisturize and seal your hair?
How many times a week should you do this?
i really loved watching this
Can the same be done with Shea Butter sealed with the Coconut Oil ?
missladyzee44 any oil will work I think
My relaxed hair will revert if i wet it with liquid. Im shocked yours stays straight
What does it revert to if it's relaxed? I've heard of natural hair reverting back to its original state but not relaxed hair. I also only use a very small amount of the leave in conditioner and focus primarily on my ends.
can I use a cream leave in conditioner instead great video
+xxdancebeautyyxx of course! I mentioned in the video that my favorite cream leave in is the Eden Body Works Coconut Shea Leave In Conditioner. Its great!
Does the moisturizer stop your hair from breaking off when you comb or brush through it (your hair) ?
Yes, that's mainly why I use it.
ESSNTL Thank you so much !!! ❤
hi. what kind of brush are you using food your hair? does it help with detangle
+Just Tish Its just a hard bristled brush I got from Sally's. It really helps with detangling and its great for massaging the scalp!
+ESSNTL thanks for the reply I will check them out!
Is your hair blow dried straight or flat ironed
what are some good moisturizers for relaxed hair
Yess!!!! I've recently joined the relaxed family and am at a loss as to what I should put in hit to keep my hair moisturized. Please do a video on the your best moisturizers for relaxed hair!!
Do you have an updated video using Eden Bodyworks leave in moisturizing and sealing?
Thank you
easy to understand ...pretty skin tone
Hi, do you put any oils on your scalp at all? Or do you not do anything to your scalp
I do not regularly put oils on my scalp. To moisturize my scalp I just make sure I deep condition every week. If I go too long without washing or deep conditioning my hair, thats when my scalp gets really dry.
love your channel, its very helpful
Can you use any leave in conditioner ? I have a leave in conditioner by Shea moisture, do you think that would be good to use ? Thank you !
+Demi Askew yes, definitely You can use any leave in conditioner that you like
My hair is thick but badly damaged and the ends are constantly breaking off I constantly see the little pieces of my hair in the sink after I brush it I know for a fact that my hair has no kind of moisture or protein it's very dry and I want to start taking better care of my hair and I was wondering what kind of products to put in my hair such as shampoo conditioner hair lotion.
Some one told me about Aphogee Protein Treatment but wanted your opinion on it
Christian Lang You need to know the porosity of your hair and tailor your hair products to that... do a youtube search of how to test hair porosity
i'm not sure if you mentioned this in the video, but how often do you do this?
As often as needed, which is usually once a week if my hair is straight and every other night if I'm wearing a protective style like a braid out or something.
Okay. thanks for the information. keep posting I'll b watching. Am actually natural right now but am going to get my hair relaxed i need help on my journey.
Do you alternate the direction in which you wrap your hair?
No, I don't. I always wrap it in the same direction no matter which side my part is on.
I absolutely love your channel, all of your videos are so so helpful. Quick Question, do you moisturize and seal your hair everyday day or like once a week?
Thank you! I moisturize and seal on an "as needed" basis... which is maybe once or twice a week. I don't do it everyday because I don't like to put too much product in my hair in between washes.
do you no a good deep condition for dry hair I can use every two week I have a relaxer n color on the top uf my hair reach to my neck n I need a good shampoo I like to use the same condition n shampoo please let me no n is oil sheen good to use on your hair every day or not
I like to use Mane and Tail shampoo and conditioner. Check out my video on top 5 deep conditioners too -- I have some good moisturizing conditioners. Also, I don't use oil sheen very often but if you like the shine it gives, then yeah sure.
Hi
I have a long relaxed hair but since I can't really maintain I always have braids or crochet in. But I notice that it breaks a lot when I take them out and I've tried everything it not helping.
Hi! Thanks for the video, but, when i use a moisturizer in my hair, i dont like the texture after moisturize and sealing. Can you explain to me why? And how to change?
+Denilse Vasconcelos you're probably using a moisturizer or oil that is too greasy for your hair. Make sure the moisturizer/leave in conditioner is water based and the oil you use to seal is light and absorbant
Love this channel. So pretty ❤️
Beautiful lady and I love your hair... New Sub!!!!
thank you so much!
What's that's lip color? It's gorgeous!
Transylvania by NYX!
Thanks!
I'm so glad that I young your channel😍☺️I'm from Germany
How often do you moisturize and seal your hair?
+Just Live Your Life thank you for watching! I try to moisturize and seal every other night butttttt I get lazy sometimes and only do it when I feel my ends are dry and need some moisture lol
+ESSNTL sorry I mean found*
Haha but you try! I love your hair 😍😭
does your hair revert after using the infusiium si ce it has water in it?
No it doesnt. I dont use a lot and I make sure to wrap it immediately after moisturizing and sealing.
what relaxer do you used
If I use the organix Argon oil, will that still count as a sealer?
+Jordanna Scott yes, that works as a sealer.
Infusion moisturizing conditioner and leave in are so good but it has been discounted here in Canada. That really sucks
Where did you purchase the Eden leave in conditioner
Walmart, Target, Sallys... its literally everywhere now!
What straightener do you use??
Duvolle "Impulse"Far-Infrared Hair Straightener
70% OFF using code: "ESSENTIAL"
www.duvolledeals.com/dnbc65
you mentioned that infusima isn't your usual go to leave in conditioner. Which one is your usual?
Eden Body Works Coconut Shea Leave -In conditioner!
do you moisturize and conditions very day or night only??? please explain
I normally moisturize and seal on an "as-needed" basis. When my hair is feeling dry or when I'm wearing a protective style that doesnt require heat, I'll do it then. I don't do it every single day/night.
This video is so useful! How often do you do this? x
I would do this about 2-3 times a week depending on how much moisture my hair needs.
ESSNTL omg you replied! Thank you! Can I also do it to the end of my cornrows? x
Haha we try to reply as much as we can! And yes you absolutely can!
Beautiful hair!
What is purpose of the leave-in conditioner?
+Sandria Walker the leave-in conditioner is my choice of moisturizer. You can use any moisturizer you like. I chose this leave in conditioner because it is light weight and water-based and absorbs into my hair without weighing down and feeling heavy.
Will Aphogee Provitamin leave in conditioner work? It specifies it adds lightweight moisture ...
Yes! I love Aphogee!!
ESSNTL Thank you!!!
I'm guessing the lack of moisture is why I was experiencing MAJOR static in my hair? And I did see a lil bit of hair in sink because it was dry!
I moisturizer and sealed last night; ends feel and look much better. However, I have to be extra careful about moisturizing because my hair easily gets weighed down. I prefer the more flow-y look after flat intoning.
Any suggestions on how to make sure it's doesn't get weighed down?
I like how moisturizing Eden's Natural Leave-In is but it might be to heavy for my transitioning hair even when I straighten it. I will give the Aphogee a try. Good question!
Do you grease your scalp?
no I don't normally grease my scalp unless its really dry. I don't like my hair being greasy or weighed down so if its really dry, I'll just wash it and deep condition it.
New subbie! You just taught me something new
Do you do this everynight?
When you hair is straightened does moisturising it cause it to curl
no, because I'm relaxed so my hair doesn't curl that much after moisturizing. But when I moisturize, I never completely saturate the hair.
thank you, how often do you straighten your hair
about once a month!
What color is that lipstick i love it ?
I think I was wearing Transylvia by NYX in this video!
ESSNTL thanks 😍
do you moist every day please let me no do your hair be wet on the ends
I normally moisturize and seal my ends every other day and no it does not make my hair wet
Great video ! Thank you
This is very helpful, thank you! I am starting again with a healthy relaxer journey and recently had my hair cut into a short bob. My hair is not long enough to reach all the way around my head; do you have any tips on how to wrap it? X
+Cerys Anderson try using bobby pins or smooth hair clips to keep your hair in place. I also use a scarf and a bonnet to make sure my hair stays wrapped throughout the night. Let me know if this helps! And thanks for watching!
You give me life boo! 😍
thank youuuuu!
does your hair feel ''wet'' after putting the leave in? my hair hates water so im scared it will get crunchy and revert after using the leave in.
Are you natural or relaxed? I try not to put too much on my hair so that it doesn't feel wet. Just enough to moisturize it. And sealing it with the oil helps too. Although I've never had a problem with my hair reverting because I'm already relaxed/texlaxed so my hair stays pretty straight.
im relaxed as well.whenever water touches my hair it goes ham lol so that's y i was asking. also is there a reason why you only moisturize the ends as oppose to to starting closer to the roots? thank you for your help! :)
No problem! So I don't like my hair weighed down with a lot of oils so I only seal the ends of my hair, as they are the oldest parts of the hair and are more prone to breakage. The root of my hair is already moisturized from the natural oils coming from my scalp. If my scalp ever gets dry, I wash my hair and deep condition. I don't like putting oil on my roots.
which moisturizer do you usually use? it is mentionned in the video that the infusium23 is good but not as much as what you normally put in your hair?
do you use grease on your scalp?
+Kyla Thomas no I don't usually grease my scalp because I feel the oil weighs my hair down a lot. I do have a naturally dry scalp so I keep my roots and scalp moisturized when I deep condition.
+ESSNTL thanks I have dry scalp as well so I'm trying to figure out the best way to moisturize my scalp without using grease right now im using coconut milk but it's actually an oil
ESSNTL
Being able to wrap my hair without hobby pins is goals! Lol
you'll get there! lol
How often should you moisturize and seal your hair??
+Chelsea D it depends on the style I'm wearing. If I'm wearing a braid out or a heatless style, I moisturize and seal every night. If my hair is straight or in curls, I moisturize and seal maybe 2-3 times a week (every other night or every two nights)-- just to keep my hair light and bouncy so I don't weigh it down with the moisturizer.
How often do you do this?
I do as often as needed, usually when my hair is feeling really dry. Maybe once a week when my hair is straight.
what's the name of that headtie like what kind is that the silk ones slip off my head so easily
+Janjay Spike Have you tried bobby pinning your scarf down?
Sounds uncomfortable I just wanna know which one that was haha
+Janjay Spike I don't know the name of the scarf, its just a plain silk one that I bought from Sallys... or probably Walmart, haha. Its nothing fancy.
Do u do this every night?
So the only way to seal is wrapping your hair?
Sealing is applying oil to seal in the moisture from the leave in conditioner. Wrapping is just what I do to keep my hair straight.
why did you cut your hair short?
Nice hair😘😘
how often do you do this?
About twice a week
ESSNTL thanx ☺
