Gurl!! Can we talk about moisturizing?! I lost my WHOLE nape! It’s now peach fuzz. I had to cut off and inch of hair to mask it! I have now realized it’s because of relaxer stretching with dry hair. I found that my hair rejects all moisture unless I spray with a fine mist of water before the M&S. Now I’m back on the right track! Sorry so long I would have just called you but I don’t have your number 😂. Great video!! Keep em coming!!
Im IN THE SAME BOAT, I am 24weeks post, I have your exact texture, sis it got real, and It's to freakin hot for a wig; What saved me was I brought a few clip on ponytails, did the slick back, boom, cute lets go.
Catching up on your videos! 😍 Wow 19 weeks post?! 😳 My scalp and hair could NEVER 😩 but I also don’t blow dry, flat iron or put direct heat on my hair either.
Yeesss girl 19 and counting...If nothing else blow drying has help me deal with the two textures. I'm sooo ready for my Fall relaxer!!! Anyway, thank you for watching!
There’s a product called the L’Oréal steampod and I’ve never seen anyone with relaxed hair use it. Do you think this would be a good product for relaxed hair?
I actually never used it so I can't give an opinion on it. However, Thank you for bringing this to my attention! I'll look into it. Thank you for watching!!
Love your videos. I do have one question. I watched several UA-camrs that are licensed cosmetologist and I am a little confused. A couple say not to moisturize and seal you are clogging your pores. They are saying when you shampoo and use a conditioner your hair will be moisturized enough until your next wash. I see you and a few others do moisturize and seal. I have low porosity relaxed hair. I just want to know your thoughts on this topic.
Commenting to see responses. I am lost after I use my leave in conditioner and oil after washing my hair. I am even considering using glossing polish to moisturise because my hair does get dry as the weeks go on before my next relaxer.
I follow a stylist her on youtube that advocates that liquid based products should not be used on the hair until wash day. She claims the sebum from our scalp is sufficient to moisturize our hair by brushing it down our strands by means of scientific brushing. I tried it last week just using serum on my hair and it was ok. My hair did not frizz up when compared to using water based moisturizer and sealing. I guess one would have to try the method and see how it works for your hair. I will attempts just using serums only again and may continue it if i see significant benefits.
@@domingo8882 Thank you, but what serums do you think are best for moisturizing. Are there any particular ones you find better or which one does that stylist you mentioned suggest? Thanks for your input!
@@marilynmartin3901 her name is cyn smith. I have heard good reviews about paul mitchell skinny serum and biosilk. They are not readily available in my country so i am currently using fantasia olive oil polisher
@@domingo8882 yes, I watch her videos as well and she’s one of the licensed stylist I was referring too. Although, not the only one. Thanks for the info. I have those serums in my stash presently. I just thought there was one out there that I didn’t know about! I’m trying so hard to follow those trained in hair. Again, thanks
🥰🥰🥰 Is shea butter oil good on the scalp? Also I know you don't use ors but have you found if any of their products make hair shed? Can't wait to see the moisture and seal post relaxer
I would say I'm NOT a fan of it on my scalp as a relaxed person. However, I enjoyed using it when I was working in the salon to re-twist locs. I think it's up to individual preference but no not for me personally. Great question! Thank you for watching
What is your view on using the blow dryer on relaxed hair? For example, I know flat ironing needs a big limit. But what about blow drying? Would you think it’s ok to blow dry after washing/deep conditioning once a week? Just to get a straighter look on wash day.
I'm all for a good blow dry result. However, air dry to a certain point and then blow dry your hair that way you're not using as much heat for the same results. If you can stretch it to every two weeks do it. That way you're giving your hair a break and only doing it 2 times a month. Thank you for watching
TGIN has a great hair mask the helps with both my relaxed and natural hair making it easier to deal with the two textures. It's the Miracle Repair deep hydrating hair mask. Here is the link if you want to check it out amzn.to/3eD7K8j Thanks for watching!

Why do you have bald spots? I missed the story?
