    Do-it-yourself termite prevention & control can be done with our help! This video shows how to do your own termite control, including specific instructions for using termite treatment bait stations so you can effectively do your own termite treatment and save money.
    Advance Termite Monitoring Stations are placed in the ground ten to twenty feet apart around the home and about two to four feet out from the foundation of the house. The Advance Termite Monitor Station contains a wood food source and an inspection cartridge for detecting subterranean termites. Termites begin feeding on the wood base then feed upward to the puri-cell monitoring tablets in the inspection cartridge. The combination of the two makes it easy to inspect and detect termite activity.
    When termite activity is found, you should replace the Advance Trelona Termite Monitoring Cartridge with the Advance Trelona Bait Cartridge.

    I have installed these at the appropriate distance rom the house. At this location, they will be covered by inorganic garden mulch. If there an easy way to find these in 3 months? Suggestions?? Currently I have a small flag marker at the house at each location, but I am looking for something better.

    If you find they are active and switch to the bait cartridge, how do you know when to switch back to the inspection cartridge?

    • @domyown
      @domyown  11 місяців тому

      The active killing bait cartridge will only last 90 days once placed in the station. After those 90 days, you can put a monitor station back in and monitor for activity. If you have more activity you can place another active killing cartridge in the station for another 90 days.

      The Advance Termite Spider Access Tool is needed to open the stations because you could possibly contaminate the station by using your hands. It also makes it a lot easier. www.domyown.com/advance-termite-spider-station-access-tool-p-153.html

    Hi Sir. Could i ask about the treatment sir? In my bath room, i have one spot termite actived . I have installed sentricon bait station by professional. They installed only 19 sentricon bait station for exterior and one AG station for interior ( bath room termite actived spot ). My question is could i spray with Spectracide Terminate Termite Killing Foam to any other room's by myself, i making tiny hole by drilling to drywall and can i spray to prevent with Spectracide Terminate Termite Killing Foam behind the drywall for entire house or could i leave like that with their treatment. I worry about termite will move to other spot and eat other room's structure. Please advice me sir. Thanks Sir. With Best Regards.

      Yes, you can drill the holes and use the Spectracide Terminate Termite Killing in the wall voids with no issue to the stations. However, a better product would be the Termidor Foam: www.domyown.com/termidor-foam-p-3528.html. This will give you a transferable killing power, meaning the termites that come in contact with the treated area will take it back to the colony so even if they do move, you have treated that colony.

    You say that when the wood gets moist or moldy it becomes unattractive to termites?

    • @domyown
      @domyown  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, the wood monitoring bases should be replaced annually or when moldy.

    I’m sorry but I just don’t understand how you’re supposed to fill the hole without the dirt going back underneath and leave space underneath still. The dirt just falls underneath I can’t get it done right

      Hello. I agree with you Oeter. I would recommend maybe putting some coarse rocks, like river rock, or maybe gravel, in the bottom of the hole. This would allow the water to drain. Hope this is helpful to you.

    • @domyown
      @domyown  3 роки тому +1

      We would recommend packing the dirt down and pressing the dirt back on each side of the hole to help prevent it from sliding down into the hole. If your soil is quite sandy, wetting it slightly should help it maintain its shape while inserting the station into the hole.

      You should clean out all of the Advance Termite Bait Stations completely and replace the wood base at least every 12 months, or once a year. Depending on where you live and the climate and amount of rain, you may need to replace the wood base more often. If the wood bases become very soggy and moldy then you should replace them.

      @@BYOJuan that is Bull shit because I have had 3 flakey termite companies in the past and they check every 3rd station when they come out for the quarterly inspection as our cameras and our neighbor witnessed. They also do not carefully check for activity on interior inspections as I found live mud tunnels inside cabinets the next day after our 6 month visual inspection that they completely missed. 👎👎👎👎👎

      If termite activity is observed in one or more stations, the Termite Inspection Cartridge in those stations is replaced with a Trelona Compressed Termite Bait Cartridge containing the active ingredient Novaluron. Novaluron acts slowly enough for termites to spread it throughout the colony, resulting in colony elimination. The Advance Termite Bait System allows for accurate monitoring and localized treatment before termites reach the structure.
      Please refer to application instructions below:
      Install Advance Bait Stations (including the wood base and termite monitoring cartridge) into the ground every 10-20 feet around the perimeter of the structure. Stations should be placed 2-4 feet away from the foundation, but not directly under the drip line from the roof of the structure. To dig holes for the stations, use a 2 ¾ in. hand or electric auger or post hole digger. The cavity for each station should extend 2 to 4 in. below the stations’ housing to allow excess moisture to drain.
      Monitor stations every 90 days for termite activity. Use the included Spider Tool to open each station. A cotter pin hand tool or small pliers make removal of the cartridges easy.
      If termite activity is present, replace the Termite Inspection Cartridge with a Trelona Termite Bait Cartridge. (Be sure to remove the plastic wrapper from the TBC before placing inside the station.)
      Inspect active bait stations every 90 days to see if termite activity has stopped. When activity stops, replace the Trelona Termite Bait Cartridge with a Termite Inspection Cartridge. Repeat process as needed.
      Replace the wood bases and Termite Inspection Cartridges every 12 months for best results. Wood that is soggy or moldy should be replaced as soon as possible.
