My goal was to free this course from linguistic jargon which is oftentimes of no interest to my audience. This course was designed for people with no linguistic background, and who want to grasp the basics quickly in terms that THEY understand. This course is about the learner, not about the teacher or us, the people who know of grammatical terms.
