fog is also building up because of the temperature difference of you skin and the glass. - make your face 'cold' with water before you jump into the water. maybe do it gain when you are in the water before you descend. positive side effect, also the grease on your skin is washed off.

I tried toothpaste, dishwasher fluid, soap fluids, scrubbing with all kinds of materials and nothing worked. In desperation I used fire. Yes, FIRE. Using a cigarrete lighter, flame the inside of the lens. You can see clearly the impurities evaporating from the lens, so it's easy to be aware of not burning the lens. I did this in glass and acrilic masks and it worked like a charm. No more fogging. First time I was affraid of burning the mask, but I was so tired of fogging that I did'nt care anymore. Started with a cheap mask and after the amazing results I done in all my masks (including a 100 euros panoramic mask). Go ahead, don't be afraid and light some fire on the damn thing.

Cut in half a small Irish potato, wipe the inside of the mask with the cut end of the potato, rinse the mask clear (leaving a very small film of starch on the lens), store the potato in a zip lock bag and go diving.

Hello, great videos, specially the buoyancy ones. Yes, I do agree with you regarding how annoying fogging is since I have serious problems with it and I simply cannot explain why. My mask was a Cressi Liberty Triside mono lens with 2 sided lens, which I love, but I had so much problems with fogging that I used to allow a small amount of water inside my mask to help clearing it during dives. The Liberty Triside has a profile not so close to the face allowing me to keep a bit of water inside. Tired of that fogging and tired of trying to get free from it, I decided to buy the new Cressi Calibro with the Fog Stop technology patented by Cressi. I've bought it last November 2018 and have used it during 10 dives and...it keep fogging!!!!. Last Saturday, January 12, 2019, I've used it in a 25 meters wreck dive (14ºC) and it hang without fogging for a bit. The second dive was in a 10-15 meters (21ºC) and was a hell of dive trying to get free from fogging...simply cannot understand.Well, ty for your videos!!!

Hey Sergio, to bad your mask keeps fogging. Did you try the Tusa inlays from the end of the video? I have seen a lot of divers struggle and eventually they all found a solutions in the anti fog stickers. Hope this helps!

Regarding the last solution for the tec diver, when the primary mask is foggy and can not clean it, I prefer to reach to the rear pouch, and take out the secondary mask, then quickly switch. it saves time, and you can do it with 0 visibility, and one hand which the other hand hold a primary light or close the leaking valve.

Instead of toothpaste. Or in addition to using toothpaste.
Take a can of coke. Pour it inside the mask. And let it sit there overnight. Then in the morning wash it out. This is what we do for all our students that buy masks from us we do it for them. Then the next day when we go for our dive 1 and 2 of the open water course, they have their new mask ready to go. Tje coke eats away at the residue just like the toothpaste, but it just works better

Tip for clearing a fogging mask underwater. Ease the mask away from your face enough to let a little water in. Rotate your head around so the water washes over the interior of the lens. From there clear the water from your mask as you were taught during certification. Repeat as necessary throughout your dive.

Yes. There are some divemasters we have here that at the very beginning of the dive partially flood the mask. And leave it there for the entire dive. Then it never fogs. But you have to be ok with diving with water in the mask.

We were told in the dive class you could either spit in it or pee in it to keep it from fogging and if you get a barb from stepping on a sea urchin the only way to make the barb lay down where you can pull it out without ripping your skin is to pee on it! You can thank me later! But I always put my fins on before entering the water and people think I'm stupid but hey I've never stepped on a sea urchin yet!
