- Engagement Week continues with the interview of Prince Harry & Meghan Markle! A clear agenda has emerged, conflicting stories have since come out & a glaring absence of authenticity hung over this interview like a foreboding cloud. I had never watched this interview, so I tried my best to be unbiased, but due to copyright I was not able to include clips of the interview in this video, sorry to disappoint! I cannot wait to hear your thoughts in the comments!

It turns my stomach the way she hung on to him at all of their events - absolutely gross! A 40 year old woman who couldn’t stand on her own hanging on to Harry like she’s a shy 20 year old. So much for being that confident self-made woman who wanted to “hit the ground running” - such a fraud.

You are correct she wasn’t 40 when she married H but she also had been married before and was supposedly a feminist and an independent woman. But hanging onto H like she did she is neither of those.

I think the point is that her clinging to Harry, her pretense of innocence and not knowing anything about Harry, her obvious attenpts at controlling the narrative of their relationship is just gawd awful and cringey!!

Yes she sees herself as a princess waiting for her prince to rescue her. Like a child. She’s emotionally stuck in childhood, probably the time when her mother ‘disappeared’ for 10years. Like Harry is stuck at the age he was when Diana died.
Irony being that Diana had just turned 19 when she married Charles. Meghan is literally old enough to be Diana's mother at this point, comfortably at nearly 38. I don't know why that's never really mentioned.
Exactly. Her mother abandoned her at age 12 and she stopped developing and went into fantasy land on her head

I remember watching the interview when it first aired and thinking ' This woman has an agenda', and that Harry was behaving differently from the Harry we thought we knew. My instincts then were saying 'This isn't going to work'.

Marrying into the RF and being a working member is a big deal. You don't rush into it like they did. I would be suspicious of anybody getting engaged to a wealthy man (let alone a prince) within 1,5 year.
I agree! There was something off about this interview. When she said that asked her friend if Harry was kind because otherwise it wouldn’t make sense to date him.

I am not from the UK and while growing up I did not care about the royal family and never looked for information about the RF but I still knew about Harry and William. So when she said that she didn’t know Harry and she asked if he was nice, that’s when I started to think to Meghan was lying about who is
That’s when we all knew she was a LIAR!!!!! Especially when months later the pics came out of her sitting infront of BP and her school friend said she was obsessed with Princess Di .
She wanted William but settled for the spear but got a shock when she found out William was going to inherit everything not harry and that he was not as rich as she thought poor megs got the dud
She ground her teeth, clenched her jaw, gave him ‘the look’ several times when he went off script and when she interrupted him, his face changed to annoyance or irritation or chastisement. I bet she squeezed his hand when he went off script. I look at it now and think she’s such a fraud. 🤷♀

I remember watching the interview live and she made me feel SOOOOOO uncomfortable right away! I was criticized by my friends and family while watching because they felt I was not giving her a chance. We all never heard of her. Fast forward to the wedding when she came out of the car, the same family and friends were watching with me, and we simultaneously did a loud “Uh oh!” groan when MM slapped down the aides’ hand as he tried to help her. Then I said “her gown is not finished!” We all laughed and continued laughing all throughout the ceremony. Laughing aside, we all had a bad feeling since that time.
and don't forgot none of her family was invited, except you know who. Thought that was really strange not to have her family to a royal wedding.

Never watched interview, not the wedding. Did not follow them at all until they decided to leave the RF. That is when I started to learn more. When I found out that only her mother was invited to wedding, that was a HUGE red flag. Everything else I have found out, only reinforced that.
I remember watching the wedding. I remember thinking how odd it was that none of her family was there except her mother. I remember thinking how plain her dress looked. All in all, it wasn’t a memorable wedding for good reasons.
At least you listened to your instincts. I second-guessed myself and tried really hard to like her.
Speaking as someone from the UK, we were so prepared to love her because we wanted Harry to be happy. We had watched him lose his mum, grow up and always seem slightly lost, and we wanted him to have what his brother had found and at the start, although she came across as brash, we were there for her. And then she called the entire country racist. She waits until after the taxpayer funded wedding before she says it, but then she starts. And she lost so much goodwill, so quickly. Again, we still wanted Harry to be happy but then he became - what he is now. It's sad that we lost him. I now consider him to be in an abusive relationship and I hope he realises it and is able to get out.

She doesn't seem to have much self-esteem, seeing this in her clinginess to Harry and looking at him when she's speaking almost to see if he is "on the same page" as she is. Not well, sorry. Looking for validation, there you go. But she does seem to be controlling, in a selfish, I married a royal so "I'm most important". I'm not really into the whole royal drama, I only know things about the royals based on what I've seen on UA-cam and I don't keep up, I just catch things here and there. But I also have an opinion about Harry. I've seen and read comments from both sides. Based on this video and the others I've seen, I don't think he realized what she was really like or getting into. It also appears that he was likely talked into leaving the family, or at least if he already had some thoughts about it - she convinced him to do it because it's what she wanted. She didn't have any idea of how involved it was- in every way- to be a royal, and all the rules, and she didn't like that. I think she wanted the title and fame and money without the work needed. I don't think it was all Harry even though he does have problems with the royals, now and when he met, and then married her. He might never have written a book that has caused problems in the family if he hadn't met her. Sorry for the long post! 🇺🇸
I actually think this is the real Harry. What we saw pre-Meghan was just a fake image of him crafted by the Royal Family. Real Harry is toxic, bitter, smug, spoiled brat.
The British people were just wonderful and so warm and welcoming towards Meghan. Prince Harry even said that the people LOVE her! They both said that that the Royal Family was amazing with Meghan and very welcoming. And then, everything changed because she changed and he just went along with it. She used mental health and racism as weapons to get him out of the UK. She will stay with him as long as she needs him. When she doesn't need him anymore, she'll put him on the side just like she did with the other men. It is very sad for Harry but he chose her and he chose to betray his family and his country for her. He chose to do that. It will going to hurt very much when he realizes that he is in an abusive relationship and she doesn't truly love him. :(
The second she claimed she didn't know anything about just-harry or the RF, I knew she was full of it. Everything about her screamed false. The human equivalent of biting on tin foil. Ugh.
Watching at the time... the entire interview was awkward. There were comparisons at the time to Prince William's interview. To me, Catherine seemed nervous, but trying so hard with Williams support. I distinctly remember warning bells going off when Megan claimed to not know who Harry was. I immediately saw a liar and it colored the rest of the interview for me.
I remember thinking the same thing but i was really bothered by her constantly interrupting Harry too. I tried to brush it off as nerves but when she said she didn't know who he was i went deaf from the alarm bells going off.

It was awkward. And the Oprah interview was wretched. There were SO MANY contradictions, where they contradicted each other, and Oprah NEVER ONCE challenged these, where she would never let ANYONE ELSE get away with

It was like the three of them had worked out an "agreement", like they were all "in on" some agenda.
The engagement one was cringe. It was like they were acting and didnt really KNOW each other at all, but "agreed" to do this.....for whatever reason. But, it is weird for sure.
The kids are a whole other area of suspicion and lies as well. The whole thing with these two is one huge suspicious debacle.
It was her biggest lie, unless you live in the back of a cave, or under a rock...you know who the Royal Family are, and who Diana was, and who the sons of Charles and Diana are!!! They were all on the front of magazines and newspapers for years!!

For me, this interview set off all sorts of alarm bells after the Vanity Fair cover first gave me an inkling she was in this for the wrong reasons. It still blows my mind that she tried to suggest to the world that she didn't know who he or his family were because she's an American and we don't have tabloids here. Beyond that, I got the sense she wanted the public to think she wasn't interested in him being royalty like he's just a guy she met on a blind date in much the same way that William is a guy Catherine met in college. It doesn't matter what Meghan's going for in this interview, like everything else she tries to do... she fails to actually do it. So when the pictures of her in the $75K ball gown came out, I knew that she was only in it for the glitz and the glam.

Catherine did meet William in college but she didn't pretend not to be impressed by him. She said when he first said "Hello" to her she sort of squeaked out a reply and "scuttled" away which made me laugh and I just feel like Catherine is a really funny person and very genuine. Catherine and William were engaged for 3 years and knew each other for 7 or 8 years before that.
If you look at all the other engagement photos, the woman (Catherine, Diana, Sophie) are in a nice day dress not a partially see-through over the top ball gown. That spoke volumes to me.
I agree she looked so phony when she said she didn’t know anything about Harry. 😅

Long distance relationships are the worst for giving you a false sense of how great your relationship is. Plus her pretending NOT to know who he was is the same thing Hilaria Baldwin did with Alec Baldwin. Both men are ridiculously egotistical about that issue. The “is he nice?” question was her saying “see how humble I am? I just care if he’s nice because that’s how authentic I am.” It was beyond ridiculous and that was the line where I was out on her. Right then and there.

The "Is he nice?" line is self-serving. She didn't want to appear a social climber and so she portrayed herself as someone who is principled.

Yes! She was thinking “eww this is the dinkiest size ring for a Prince of the RF”. She CLEARLY hated it as evidenced by her redesigning it shortly after the marriage. She wanted a rock like Catherine. You know she thought, “why did you give your brother your mom’s engagement ring”??? “I could have had it!” 🤬
I also remember this interview, knowing nothing about her. And I was left thinking, she’s so fake!! Stuff she was saying made no sense, and seemed to be inflating her importance. I live in Toronto and I’d say 95% of us wouldn’t know her if she crossed in front of us. Lots of TV shows and movies are filmed here, and we’ve had actual stars living here for long periods of time (Mads Mickelson, Donny Osmond, even Michael Jackson has a home here. This D-lister was never famous. The derpy looks she gave him like she was a lovestruck teen rather than a mature, woman with a job. So much ick.
I can’t get over the death grip she has on his hand. Her body language and voice mannerisms are a red flag.

When I watched that interview my immediate reaction was "Oh No!". Harry was in trouble right from the beginning.
I’m of the belief the Netflix footage of the “FaceTime engagement” was staged.
1. I think when she watched it back, it was a weak, rather uninspired story (night in, roast chicken, oh yeah and he asked);
2. She’s obsessed with having ppl view her as being part of a “love story” - unfortunately the reality is they don’t have a love story. They had a mutually beneficial arrangement that has turned into a controlling, abusive and toxic relationship;
3. There’s a time discrepancy between when they supposedly got engaged and when her dogs legs were broken (which has never been clarified HOW a little dog ends up with not 1, but 2 broken front legs).
The reason she tries to act unaware of the details of their time together, engagement night and the RF in general, is because she is trying to come off as uncalculating, manipulative and innocent. Problem is, she planned it all and has to keep Harry on script.
Their entire relationship was built on lies and deceit from day 1. There is a very small part of me that still feels bad for #5 when he was asked if he thought she was in love with him and he responded "I hope so". She said nothing but had that plastered grin on her face.

This is so sad, on so many levels. His father’s answer to the love question was, “Whatever love is.” Diana was so saddened by this. Harry says he hopes she loves him, but she doesn’t respond. When she said she knew nothing about him during the interview. I knew then there was a BIG problem. I know of two weddings where one partner had zero family or friends on their side of the church. Both were family annihilators. 😮
Yeah..William waited to make sure..and they picked on Catherine, calling her Waity Katey... a damn good thing she DID wait!! And Harry says he wanted a good marriage, jumps in with MM (simply because she blew his socks off in bed!! Experienced!!) And will regret it the rest of his life...but Edward never escaped Wallis... Will Smith has never escaped Jada, and I don't think Harry will escape MM!! Unless he's stripped of titles, the money is finally all spent, and he can no longer please her when she torments him... she'll dump that wasted dried out husk that was a person....maybe contacting King-daddy demanding money to keep "his grandchildren!".... he should send nothing, then she'll run off without them and Charles can pick all 3 up and bring home for intense therapy!!!!
What they have is a business arrangement, not a love match. Their Christmas Card says as much.

Watched the interview as it aired and my honest reaction was " What a fake". Harry looked nervous and she looked totally in charge as if she was the catch and Harry was lucky to have her.
Even with him knowing all questions before, he tends to ramble a lot. I've noticed that before he met that one, but it was shorter than now. He had at least some kind of idea what he was talking about.
Now he just word vomits without any real message at all. 😅

As soon as she said she didn’t know who Harry was that was it for me. She may not have known personal information but there was no way she didn’t know about him, HMQEII or other members of the RF.
Personally I watched that interview and immediately heard/saw huge flashing red lights and heard alarm bells going off…she was so busy trying to push her rehearsed agenda “Who’s prince haz!?!” , the woman would have to have been living under a rock not to know either of those boys. Anyone in our age group, no matter what country
they came from will never forget the images of them walking behind their mothers coffin 😢 In the beginning I actually felt sorry for Harry, she’s probably sucked him in with all sorts of false promises of either a life in Africa or as they have stated on numerous occasions a life out of the public and privacy - Meghan never had any intention of doing either of those things. After Oprah and the rest I lost every little bit of sympathy for him, he’s made his now he’ll have to lie in it 😤
So been looking forward to your take on that train wreck of an interview Beebs! I'm only 3mins in but wanted to point out that red flags started waving for me when I noticed that she had Harry's hand in that double handed death grip for almost 20 straight minutes. I'm amazed his arm didn't atrophy! Even at this early juncture I knew, between her constantly interrupting Harry and the hold she had on his hand, that this woman was a control freak! It had nothing to do with nerves...when you're nervous you tend to be softly spoken and quite subdued (like Princess Catherine was during her engagement interview) not overbearing and domineering like this viper. Also my bull💩 meter was going haywire at her (now proven!) LIES.

This American found her jarring. That she clashed with what I thought the royal family was like... and Harry as well. Sure, I'd seen the tabloids and his weak/bad side but thought he can dedicate himself to this relationship and family. I had to walk away, return, and eventually stopped watching, I found myself squirming with embarrassment. And yes... "Stop with the hand clutching! Enough! Consider the circumstance and your age!"
I’m American, too, and even I thought, ok, this is A LOT…😵💫She seemed super fake and overdoing it. There was just something hinting at her not being “there for the right reasons”
The way he reacts to even the slightest hint of censure from her and the way she reacts to anything that might look slightly bad for her are both really alarming. And the way she keeps his hand very firmly in her lap, in spite of gesturing naturally pulling it more towards him.
When she said ‘what were we doing? ‘ and looking and Harry is when she is giving him permission to speak. Mommy/son relationship.
I thought she looked too experienced for him. Like a lamb to slaughter.
Narkle sold Hasnobrains a Bill of Goods, that she was ready, willing & able & PERFECT for the JOB of being a working member of the Royal Family.
He DID discuss it with her.
He DID explain the responsibilities.
She DID convince him she was 100% enthusiastic for it.
But she was lying to him. She actually thought that she would play the role a little bit, yet actually do EXACTLY WHAT SHE WANTED. She thought she was smarter than everyone in the BRF, and that she'd take charge & they'd either let her -- or she'd outmaneuver every one of them.
Pretty soon she found out that they wouldn't let her coast on free vacations with no work; wouldn't let her accept thousands of dollars in swag from designers, jewelers, etc. Didn’t let her create her own lazy schedule forever...
That pissed her off & surprised her.
She goes ballistic when anyone tells her NO.

It`s why she said she needed no other help than Harry ,as by then he had fallen for the lies .

The "if he wasn't kind, it wouldn't make sense" comment was to get us to believe that she has been hurt by mean men in the past and that all she could ever want in life was a nice man, even if he lived in a refrigerator box.

And it was meant to imply that she herself is oh so kind, and therefore of course she would only be looking for someone equi-saintly.
I thought she was lying from the beginning. It's beyond belief that she wouldn't know anything about him and his family. For me, she came across as vapid and disingenuous.
I hadn’t heard of Meghan prior to her involvement with Harry. I was initially happy for Harry, wanted to know more about his fiancée, and went into this interview with an open mind and positive attitude. By the end, I knew this vapid, disingenuous woman was trouble, and honestly hoped they’d call it off. I tried to give her more chances, for Harry’s sake, but the more I saw and heard from her, the more I disliked her.
Looking back at this interview, I think Meghan revealed her true self. Nothing she's revealed since has been any different. She's socially awkward, has no problem bending the truth to make herself look better, and is controlling of Harry. She's stayed true to herself over the years.

Yet where’s the ‘hit the ground running’? She did present herself differently at first, saying she wanted to be part of the RF team and so many other lies. So she has been true to herself (as in self serving) but only since she got the ring on her finger and since she got stupid H under her control

She came across as arrogant and controlling. I didn't like her from the outset.
My impression was that she was controlling, dominant and that she was hiding several things: Harry not meeting her father or half siblings, the fact that she was the one who got someone to fix her up with Harry (not very “organic”), the fast love bombing phase, her knowing she did not intend to be a team player because she was all about being the star, the fact she hated the ring, the fact she already had firm control of Harry, and on and on.

I watched the interview that day with mild horror. I couldnt believe he was going to marry the one who'd turned up to their first event in trampy ripped jeans!! I caught her shadiness in the engagement interview but couldn't work out why, and at the end, all I could say was 'Oh god, she's awful!'
The Queen and others in the Family thought Harry was too enamoured of Megaliar, and I have to admit, IMO, having read her Tig entries, she really worked on him, calling him ‘her man’ within a couple of weeks of chatting! She even talked about practicing curtsying and giving speeches before meeting her ‘granny-in-law’! Shows how much she disrespected the Queen and, as later proved, the rest of the family!

I watched the interview at the time of the engagement. I was delighted that Harry had found love and liked that she appeared confident.
I viewed it again in August and I ended up shouting at the screen. The person she wanted to protect was Marcus Anderson, International manager of Soho House Hotels. She met him in Canada and stayed at the London branch when she had her first date with that one. Anderson is a close friend of Omid Scobie, so I know who is feeding her info to Scobie. The couple had 2 dates before she returned to Canada, yet when he said he couldn't go to Canada because of a forthcoming visit to Botswana, Meghan went with him. 2 dates before sharing a tent, doesn't speak highly of her.
The interview was managed by Meghan. She was dating a chef in Canada who was quickly dispensed with as she hooked Harry.

As to the "mystery of the chicken", aside from the urban dictionary meaning, I think they were already going after William and Catherine. When W&C were first married W was asked his favorite meal and his answer was "anything roasted, roast chicken" and at the time there were roast recipes all over the internet. I think meghan was already trying to one up W&C,.because now when you search royal family and roast chicken, all the sweet family stories of W&C are buried behind the weird engagement story.
Note, too, in the Netflix documentary she makes a point about her bolognese sauce. No surprise, the only other food that comes up in the story of William and Catherine dating was bolognese, specifically as a meal W. cooked for C to impress her.

I remember watching this interview hearing she claimed she didn’t know Harry, and that really rubbed me the wrong way. William and Catherine's interview was short, but it was natural and showcased their chemistry beautifully. Lovely Catherine seemed nervous, but she pushed through it excellently as she always does. Even if people didn't like her at first because of her non-aristocratic background, there was no denying their love and respect for each other. It was obviously a relationship built on friendship and they're still friends to this day. That's why William made the suggestion to Harry to take more time with it, but sneaky Meghan had already wormed her way into Harry's psyche. I bet she told him she was pregnant or something to hurry things along then made up another lie when the job was done and that's what all the weird secrecy in their interview was about. She was worried he would say something innocently that she knew would be caught by the public and seen as blatant manipulation and if he found out she was manipulating him before she got the title and the kids the jig was up.

If it was someone from another country getting engaged to any of the Queen's grandchildren besides Harry or Will, I can believe that they might not know them. A certain level of knowledge of Diana's children was pretty hard to escape.

The main feeling I had while watching the interview was surprise that Meghan didn't seem more worldly and sophisticated. I had no idea who she was prior to this interview. When she said she didn’t really know who he was, I think I might have fallen of the couch laughing. She said being American we didn’t really know much about the British monarchy.
I distinctly recall how suspicious I was when Meg claimed not to know anything about Harry’s family during the engagement interview. I mean…. that was a bit over-the-top. I too tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, but all of my suspicions have been validated in the years following their union. What a disappointment both of them have been. As a long-time observer of the Royal family, my most sincere wish is that these two would be stripped of their titles and left to resume their lives outside the establishment and family they so clearly dislike.
People miss the reason why Meghan has always talked about how she "makes a mean roast chicken", and always seems to mention "roasting chicken" as her go-to: both Harry and William have talked about how much their favorite dish growing up was their mom's roast chicken. She mastered that dish, and seems to always mention making it, in order to lure in and snag Harry. Just another (creepy) way to channel Diana.

As an American woman who is married to an Englishman I will try to offer a little insight into the differences between our countries. We as Americans think that because we speak the same language that we are pretty much the same. We are not. The British tend to keep their feelings to themselves. They are not as outspoken. They are not as "loud" so to speak. When meeting my in-laws, I was not aware of this (thankfully they are not royalty lol). I'm saying all this to say that I did not go in with "I'm an American and therefore better than you" attitude which is what I feel when watching Meghan. I get Amber Heard vibes from her (without the super crazy).

Because of all the lies they told after the engagement interview that contradicted the engagement interview she now claims that the entire engagement interview was scripted for them and that none of it was true - also there was so much backlash after the interview over the claim they were "roasting chicken" and them thinking they were getting something over on the watchers, as though no one would know what that really meant. Which shows you the class of person she is, several times through out their relationship they have injected these low class and tacky things - other examples is when she claimed Archie said "crocodile first" and her message about "waffles" - she really is disgusting. As for the "is he kind" comment - you have to know about when William and Catherine got engaged, there were interviews done not just with William and Catherine but also some of her friends - one of her friends talked about before Catherine met William at the university, and they were sitting around and someone brought up the William in the conversation and Catherine said "he seems kind", so she basically stole that from Catherine. She only did 72 engagements when she was a working royal, she spent more money on clothes her first year excluding her wedding attire than all the other British royals combined. She was fully on board with doing tours, what she wasn't on board with was doing the dirty, boring work. She wanted all the glamour work not the behind the scene or going to care home work. As for the ring - she didn't like it - which is why she has changed it 2 times after the wedding.

So many people who never met her were so off put by her, right from the get go. I can only imagine the viseral reaction Princess Anne had having actually met her.
Watching this again brings back the feelings I had when I first saw it. I wasn’t convinced by it then and in hindsight it looks even more unconvincing. I had never heard of her until she showed up at the Invictus Games with him. I was happy for Harry when the engagement was announced but felt uneasy after that interview because it didn’t feel genuine on her part at least, it always felt like she was acting a part but nonetheless I hoped they would be happy. The more I saw of her in the run up to the wedding the more doubts I had and by the time the wedding day arrived I was convinced it was going to be a disaster. By contrast William and Catherine just looked so happy and in sync with one another. My late Mum and Dad met in 1948 when she was 19 and he was 20. They married in 1954 and had been married almost 63 years when we lost Dad. Mum always said that they grew up together and she said the same thing about William and Catherine. They met at a similar age and they waited almost 10 years before they married. William and Catherine look as happy now as they did on their engagement day, the same cannot be said of the other two. Harry in particular looks miserable whenever he appears in public with his wife lately and is much more cheerful on the rare occasions he is seen on his own.
The thing about William and Catherine is that they are both mentally stable. William said that he wanted someone who came from a good family with strong values. I don't think a couple need to wait 10 years before getting married but both have to be in a position where they are emotionally stable and honest with each other. Harry was not emotionally stable and Meghan wasn't honest or genuine. I personally know people getting married quickly after meeting and they are still together after decades but they were in a place where they honest and had prepared themselves for marriage before meeting that special person. Everyone is different. Some people need more time to know whether it is the right thing to marry the person they are dating while others don't need that much time. If you need more time to figure things out, it is crucial that you take that time. It is not all size fits all, which is perfectly fine.
What does getting to know someone organic and authentically even mean? I always said I got to know my husband's heart and he had a great sense of humour, and very responsible, caring of others and patriotic. All traits I love. He was in the military 20 years, then later after a few years was LE. He was a fantastic girl Dad. He spoiled us all with his kindness and attention.
It means her date didn't book her through a service and pay her like usual.

I watched that interview in real time and had no bias, but 2 minutes into the interview I was under the impression that she would be very controlling and there would be trouble, now all that's been revealed confirmed to me, my first impression of her was spot on. I feel so sorry for Harry because although he was raised in an environment that exposed him to sophistication, he is very naive and not a very good judge of character and was manipulated, and still is being manipulated by her. 😒
He's going to end up like the abdicated king, Duke of Windsor. She doesn't respect him, he is just a tool to get what she wants, just like Wallis.

The 'team player' moment was a major red flag! She clearly wasn't having that - that jaw muscle popped like a body builder's bicep! I remember noticing that when viewing the interview back in the day and thinking "That's not a good sign."
Maybe Harry was laboring under a common (but very unfortunate) misconception: "As soon as we are married, she'll calm down. As soon as we are married everything will be fine."
When it came out, it felt like she was trying to give confident but it gave controlling. Her creepy newscaster voice was like nails on a chalkboard-it felt phony, forced and off. The constant interrupting, esp when he was going to say who introduced them and she jumped in and shut it down-that was weird AF.
When she claimed she didn’t know who he was my first reaction was “Stop it”. She lived and worked in Canada-the Queen’s face is on their money. William & Catherine did a tour of Canada while she lived there and it’s a Commonwealth country-but she didn’t know who he was? Or anything about the Royal Family? After visiting London a million times as an adult and being acquainted with Eugenie before meeting Harry? Come on.

I only watched 5mins then I lost patience because I disliked her so much & I thought she was lying all the time. I met my husband in June 1967 we were engaged on Christmas Eve that year & got married in October 1969. I remember the night he asked me too marry him, I’d been round to a friends with my Mum to see all the wedding presents before her wedding on the following S aturday. I was telling him about her buying things for her bottom drawer & he was asking what that was, so I was explaining & he said would you like a bottom drawer with me, it took me a few minutes to cotton on too what he was saying.& then I immediately said yes so he then asked me properly will you marry me, & I 0:33 said again yes I’d love too. When we decided to get married there wasn’t anyone we knew that we’re living together, in fact it was frowned on & my Dad would’ve been disappointed if we’d gone down that roUte but we always intended to get married, we both wanted that commitment to each other, he also asked my Dad for his permission. We’ve had a good, complete marriage & I love him more now than I did then, we’ve always shared everything & discussed what we want to do. I’m better with money than him so that’s my department but I never do anything without his knowledge, everything else is divided between us. I’ve had a very bad accident in 2016, he’s been marvellous & is no not only my husband but my carer, he does a great job & is always fantastic, he’s not a saint & we have some humdinger rows but we always make up before we go too sleep, my Gran always said don’t let the sun go down on an argument. He’s 75, 76 in March & I was 73 last September we both very different people now than in 1967 when I was 16 nearly 17 & he was 19, I think people were more grown up then, there was no bank of Mum & Dad because they didn’t have money anything we wanted we had too save up & buy it, no credit cards or easy credit, it was a very different World we were more self sufficient & always worked except when I had maternity leave once. This is long & probably boring but I wanted to let you know that lots of us made it through, I think that’s why I was so cynical about that awful engagement video & the terrible wedding or as she called it the spectacle which we paid for. Her attitude to our late & much loved Queen was arrogance personified, she had no intentions of fitting in & she brought her plan with her, Harold was very easily led but he’s as much too blame for everything that’s happened as she is, they’re perfectly matched & he’d like nothing better than to be King! @@puppy1584 Hello, we are lucky, I think when you meet a great partner it’s the biggest gift in life. We live in Mid Wales near Welshpool on the side of a hill, lovely country side, both born in Manchester but Steve moved down to Newport, South Wales with his family when he was 15, he followed in his Dad’s footsteps by going to sea school & signing on in the Merchant Navy. He did a few trips & was on leave in Manchester, staying with his Auntie when he came off the back of a motorbike, very painful for him but it turned out great for me because he decided to get a land based job while he was healing, those were the days when jobs were easy too find, then when he met me he decided against going back too sea. The weather’s a bit cold today but we’ve got no rain, everything looks mucky though, can’t see us getting a white Christmas 🎄 bye for now xxx🏴🏴
@@lyndaa7560 hi Lynda. Nice to hear from you. My daughter-in-law is from Wales, near the Gower. Which is a stunning place. We live 7 miles or so from Weston-Super-Mare, on the edge of the Mendips. Nice walking country. We’ve not long got in from visiting family for a pre-Christmas get together. All very lovely. I also remember my husband proposing to me. We were sat in his car, eating some chips out of newspaper - very romantic…and he said, “you will marry me?” So after that, a girl has to say yes!
Changing the subject, I’ve got absolutely no time for The Harkles…in the early days, when she came on the scene I thought it was wonderful. Harry had found someone. Wasn’t long before the odd red flag went up. For me it was the picture the papers published of her gazing up at him with such false adoration , I was blown away with how actress it was. I truly thought, she’s got to be joking. After that interview on Oprah - which I only saw the odd clip of and listened to others that did watch it, I knew she was no good.

I only know when I saw her with her mom and I'm married to a biracial man.
I was enthusiast about them getting together because he’d seemed to want a partner and a family.
I found the engagement interview very false and over the top. She was very controlling and very much the Actor which was very non royal. It seemed strange to me but since they were never going to be major players because of William, Catherine and their family, I didn’t care much.
Despite all the hype, for the majority of the British public it was no big deal what Harry did I’m British and watched at the time.
