Wilf. And 'mavity' 😂Had me in stitches, I loved the Doctor's face as he realised something has shifted and it's called 'mavity' now. As a Time Lord that must happen quite often with him. I wonder if they are just going to roll with it for the rest of the show because that would be hilarious.
I liked to more villainous Doctor, when it smirked behind the closed doors when 14 was talking to it, it showed an awesome quality of Mr. Tennant that, frankly, we don't get to see much of.
It reminded me of that Staged moment the "How many times have you thrown on a brown coat and glued your hair into an exponential curve and battled a salt shaker"
@@JustKelso1993 the strange thing is I'm not totally sure it's a retcon at all - at least, not if we take the doctor "dancing" with Jack and Rose as more of an innuendo as it's HEAVILY hinted to do so. Nah, there's been great episodes on similar levels since the Series 10 finale: Rosa, Haunting of Villa Diodati and Village of the Angels are some great examples to name a few, but this is amongst the best for sure.
@robertgreen3318 you decided to argue this point, AND you chose Rosa. On some level, I have to respect it. however, it actually is just a very stupid thing to do.
@@diccchocolate416 Why is it stupid? It's only stupid if you're being subjective about it. I get it, people are still butthurt about the messaging and the villain. But Rosa is objectively a story that took the grim and realistic elements of history and played on the eeriness of the environment absolutely spot on. That's what I expected back then in a historical and it was absolutely delivered. Not a lot of historicals (to my mind) did that sort of interpersonal tension, so it's a bit of a pioneer in that regard. I give my credit where it's due and I think it deserves at least that.
@robertgreen3318 Rosa is a pantomine of racism. The extent of the episodes' portrayal is people being a bit mean when in the real world there would've been a real threat to Ryan's life. It writes itself into a corner with yaz. Ryan doesn't like the police and confides in yaz, but yaz is a police officer. How does the episode confront this issue? Oh, it doesn't, yaz is absolved of all issues, and it is never brought up again. I genuinely do not care about lazlo, the space racist. his character is that he is racist. Why? The episode itself doesn't care, so why should I. You'd be hard pressed to find anything resembling good doctor who in the chibnall era, but Rosa is bad even among it's peers.
I like that they gave a happy ending to Donna and Tennant’s Doctor. The face that didn’t want to go, the face that could do so much more, the face that came back again, gets to stay! And with Donna, his best friend and family!!! Plus it allows for a fresh start for 15, to unload all of this trauma that’s gotten kinda stale and start anew
