Yes! Love this one, picked one up for my Wedding last June. We set an instax booth up with a friend with a nice backdrop, and she helped me take pictures of guests with the SQ6 to put into our guestbook as they signed it; it turned out amazing! Incredibly reliable camera ( I had the lomo square as a backup but my friend couldn't figure it out LOL); she even walked around shooting the SQ6 later at the dinner reception and caught some really nice candids/reactions, everyone loved it! Super fun camera :)
Mini 10, Mini 90 and SQ6 are my favorite cameras from Instax. Mini 10 has less features than the other two, but its light sensor works amazingly. It will turn the flash off when it's necessary, but if you still want to have the flash on, you press a button while shutting the picture and that's it! Mini 90 is the most complete in features, it has everything SQ6 has, but there's also those modes where we can have presets for shutter speed. I love them all!
I didn't know about the mini 10, looks cool. Did some googling definitely interested in tracking down one. Though I couldn't find a lot of test shots/reviews for it. How much better is it over the mini 90? If you could only have one would it be the 10 or 90? Is the sensor more accurate in low light or overall better exposure for lights and darks? Thanks!
That is one of my fave Instax cameras, love the fact that it can work without the flash and of course the self timer!!! I believe every camera should have a self timer!!! Sadly, it's not made anymore!!! The newer SQ cameras are more dumbed down and no self timer!!!
This is hands down my favorite Instax camera. I like the film size, and the features. I got the SQ10 when it came out and was so bummed with the weak digital photos. The SQ6 was exactly what I needed, great shots, camera look and features at a reasonable price. I have no idea why they dropped it for the crappy SQ1. not into that rubbery look at all.
I just bought one last year. I love this camera. The one that came after this has no bells and whistles and it is the same expensive price as the sq6. I wish they would make the view finders over the lens for centered photos. Sharper Image makes a mini instax camera with the view finder over the lens. Where it should be. Even Diana's have the centered view finder.

I bought mine because I watched this video... I found it used at a camera repair shop for a good price. It's perfect for the square format. I don't understand Fuji discontinued it.

A classic instax cam. Fuji logic though with them discontinuing one of their few decent instax cameras. Kind of regret selling mine years back. Ridiculous prices on the used market. 🙄
I just picked up a fuji square 10, their first hybrid camera (I think). It is really cool. Got it for $90, sq6's are hard to find and pretty expensive (even in 2nd hand stores). I think the Sq6 looks better than the sq1.

I just picked up one of these last week, and it's great! I never wanted to mess with Instax because I didn't like the rectangular aspect ratio, and especially not the portrait orientation on Instax mini film. And then I discovered Instax has a square format. So I had to get one. I'm not thrilled about the pictures being quite a bit smaller than polaroid 600, but they don't look too out of place in the same album. The sq6 is a great camera, and if you just can't abide the portrait nonsense with Instax mini, it's by far the best option for Instax square.
I am really thinking of buying this camera after your great review. My question to you is this. I have found rechargeable cr2 batteries (3V, 800 mAh). 4 pack and a charger for 45 $. Do you think this will work or is normal batteries better?
Is there any other camera that uses the Instax Square film that’s not the SQ1 or SQ40? I would like a bit more features than the named models but the SQ6 is discontinued and I can’t find any good replacement for it😔I would like it to be all analog, the double exposure function, and the ability to turn the flash off
@@JustAnotherChriswhat I meant is that this camera is limited by a plastic lens and a phone seems to have better features that would help making better photos, which could be then printed with an Instax square link.
i was about to shell out almost 300 on the sq6 and the printer because aquariums dont allow flash photography, but now that i know i can turn off the flash i dont need the printer
I've heard it was discontinued, but I found it on Amazon for less than $150. So either they spun up the factory and made another batch, or there's some unsold stock. Either way, yoink. The fact that it uses CR2's is kind of annoying. It's a small price in comparison to the film, but still. For the size it feels like they could've squeezed in a 2x AA or 2x AAA battery slot. Maybe they really didn't want people using alkalines in it. But I would figure most people into photography have a drawer full of NiMH cells.
Good God I checked eBay out of curiosity and people are selling theirs for like £400+ wtf😂 I just never reach for this camera, I really miss using all my instant cameras I just have such anxiety bringing them to places and feeling weird for wwhipping them out😂 my instax wide is my favourite one but inconveniently it's also the biggest one I have so I never end up taking it anywhere because I don't know how to hide it if I have a small handbag. aaaah such a silly dilemma I have🥲
Yeah it’s going for mad money these days! I get where you coming from though. I still feel weird at times. But I always regret not taking a photo when I get home. So I suck it up shoot a photo and I have never really had anyone make fun of me for it. So it must be in my head haha

I can't decide between the SQ6 and the SQ1.. I live in Sweden so the SQ6 costs about $250 to get here and the SQ1 $100. Is it worth it? Also this would be my first camera so I have no experience with instant camera. Would really like your thought on this. Instant cameras really is a jungle lol. Love the content, keep it up bro!!

Yes there are a few cameras made by lomography

SQ6. The lomo takes practice to use but has a great features. SQ6 still has some good features but it’s way easier to use

I would go for the hi print. Better print quality. Plus it’s also sticker paper.
