3:00 I think the difference in exposure in the photos of the SQ1 vs SQ6 is only because the flash of the SQ6 is brighter. The SQ6 flash can light up until 2.7m (8.9ft) vs 2.2m (7.2ft) for the SQ1. If you turn off the flash of the SQ6 and cover the flash of the SQ1, it should give the exact same pictures.
One functional difference between the SQ6 and Mini 90 is that on the Mini 90 you can choose to lighten and darken independently of focus distance (macro, intermediate, distant), whereas with the SQ6 if you choose macro or distance, there’s no way to specify lighten or darken - doing so will take you off your distance selection. Regardless, the SQ6 is wonderful.
The sq1 keeps on taking better pictures despite its lack of 'adjustability and features' but y'all will obviously prefer the familiar sq6 which you had for years and could change things. But now even after changing whatever you change, the sq1 takes better pictures without even trying and excels in what they are made to do - take good pictures!
I love your reviews!! I’m getting a Polaroid camera for the first time and you have helped me so much to decide which one I want!!! I love how you explain and take the time to clearly compare! Thanks again love
Thank you for this informative video. I am unsure buying between Instax SQ1 and Instax SQ6, and I am grateful watching this video before buying an instax. I ended up buying, SQ6. It is totally worth it! SQ6 is very much commendable than SQ1. Ps- it's just my opinion.
This is so ridiculous, the sq6 has such a great design and great variety of features but sq1 looks, at least in my opinion, less attractive and it has no extra modes. Why does sq1 cost more? And the fact that they literally stop producing sq6 made me doubt my life, it’s seems like the industry now value cost over the quality.
I wish the sq1 had those modes.. It seems like it's a bit sharper. The auto exposure looks like it's spot on. I hope they improve it because I like the design so much
i just bought sq6 few weeks ago and tried all the modes, but quite disappointing because all of the films turns out blurry. Maybe i should practice more
I used to have blurry shots too with my sq6. What I observed was the more you long press the button, the more blurry the outcome is. That's why I just press the button for half a second or less. And that's how I have clearer shots now! Hope this helps
I like the idea of manual controls, but when the manual controls are just +/- adjustments to an unpredictable auto-exposure, I think I’d prefer the one with the better auto mode. How does the SQ1 fare if you cover up the flash with your hand vs the SQ6 with the flash turned off? Would it under expose perhaps, as it would be expecting more light?
Honestly, if I want something beyond the point and shoot nature of polaroid type images....I'll just pull out my film camera which has far more control. I'm not using this camera to get award winning shots lol. People put far too much thought into instant film.
I like everything of the sq6 so much more. I don't know but the colors and aesthetic of the sq1 just doesn't fit my style but the sq6 is perfect in looks and features. But unfortunately I can't find it anywhere and if i do its really expensive
With SQ6 you'll never know if you got the right settings unless a film is printed. This makes it costly overall as you need to have some sort of "trial and error". SQ1 solves this problem by calculating the best possible settings for the current environment.
For some reason the SQ6 is $289 US and the SQ1 is $119. I wonder why the price went up so much. I'm so sad to have liked the SQ1 more and now the price is insane.
The SQ6 is now quite sort after and rare. It’s the only square Instax which gives you this level of creative control! It would be unlikely that Instax will release another camera with these feature unfortunately
It makes me wonder why they hail the sq6 so much since I've watched a lot of videos where the sq1 is better but because they are already fans of the sq6 which has those redundant features at this point, they will obviously choose it even when they see the difference. And the flash you can just simply put your left hand's finger on it. No need to be grumpy
Self timer and turn off flash makes it a no brainer for the sq6. I get pictures with the sq6 that i could never get with the sq1. And those photos are usually my favourites.
The sq1 excels in what these two are made to do. Take good pictures. And it does that despite its lack of features. Which makes you wonder if all those glorified features are even useful. No wonder they removed them
Nice video - Two suggestions 1) please, "stop" jerking the pictures up and down when your camera is focused on the pictures you are evaluating, it's hard to see "shaking" pictures and counter to the purpose of your video. 2) The second set of pictures, you comment that the SQ6 offers options like the ability to turn off flash - but you didn't demonstrate the difference with a picture? why not, if the purpose of this comparison is the show the difference between SQ6 vs. SQ4, wouldn't it be best demonstrated with a comparison of photos? It appears that anyone under fifty years old has attention-deficit problems, requiring a host to constantly wave and gyrate your hands and arms or the use of glittery, sparkly objects to keep the viewer's attention. Being an older guy, I find all this silly nonsense and very annoying, and in general goofy, but I see it's practiced by a majority of young hosts and reviewers. As a consequence, I don't bother with a majority of these narcissistic UA-camrs channels, whose actions say, . . . Look at Me!! . . . Look at Me!! . . . I'm more important than any product or information here! Thankfully, you do a better job at controlling this impulse and I find your reviews the better for it. Thanks, for your efforts
Oh my gosh I wondered what happened to photography concentrate!!! I’m so happy I found this video!!!

No. If you cover the flash, the camera will still think it's activated so it's going to underexpose.

I have the sq1 and mini11, decided to get the sq6 for creative shots too

I like SQ1 it's pretty looking
If you just switch to lightening or darkening mode (depending on the natural lighting) on the sq6 you get the quality the sq1.
I just got my SQ6 and i’m excited to receive my films soon. ❤️
Just looking now and from what I can tell the sq6 is more expensive than the sq1 so I guess the prices leveled out to show the capabilities
i just bought sq6 few weeks ago and tried all the modes, but quite disappointing because all of the films turns out blurry. Maybe i should practice more
Always try to shoot at bright sunlight, otherwise it will be blurry.
I used to have blurry shots too with my sq6. What I observed was the more you long press the button, the more blurry the outcome is. That's why I just press the button for half a second or less. And that's how I have clearer shots now! Hope this helps

Exactly. Controls for something that is anyway unpredictable... some kind of photographic oxymoron.
@@AlejandroRamos-im4to to me the main draw of the SQ6 is the ability to turn off the flash

The only real comparison review
For a person with not that much photography skills, but wants instant photos in a large size, would you suggest the sq6 or the wide?
Why is the sq6 so much now like 115 😭
I like everything of the sq6 so much more. I don't know but the colors and aesthetic of the sq1 just doesn't fit my style but the sq6 is perfect in looks and features. But unfortunately I can't find it anywhere and if i do its really expensive
Please do SQ6 and Mini 90, I am unsure of which one to buy.
Yes please 😭😭
Mini 90 does Mini format while SQ6 does Square
I prefer SQ6 because the film is bigger than the mini 90
I want this review
are you gonna review the supposed new mint square format instax
camera?
Fujifilm discontinue sq6 prod.do u think it is worth to buy?or no need..does the sqiare films nowadays can still use in sq6?
Wait! Photography Concentrate girl? What are you doing here!?!! YAY. Love your videos. Been a fan since forever now. We hope you're doing good! (-:

probably bc its not in production anymore, so the price went up bc its rarer
The SQ6 is now quite sort after and rare. It’s the only square Instax which gives you this level of creative control! It would be unlikely that Instax will release another camera with these feature unfortunately
The sq6 has way more controls but somehow the sq1 produced way more satisfied results on both instances?

thank u for this honest review. this is a big help for me :D
Self timer and turn off flash makes it a no brainer for the sq6. I get pictures with the sq6 that i could never get with the sq1. And those photos are usually my favourites.
A conclusão dessa review e da comparação da mini 9 vs mini 11 é que as novas gerações custam mais caro e oferecem menos.
Very helpfull review tysm!
But Sq1 looks so much better and its orange colour looks so good 😭
This is what people forget...you can use your thumb to cover the flash if you don't want it.
I just saw SQ6 selling for $195 on eBay 😂 Where can I find it for $79 before tax? Thanks for sharing the comparison.
amazon has them for $150
Please do a review on the new instax mini 40!!! I’m literally stressing whether or not to get the mini 40 or 90 😭😭😭
Does it have a timer?
Yay finally u mentioned Taylor Swift's version AHAHA!
Awesome video!!💕💜💓🥰
Hello everyone from Russia
Did you know that monochrome film for SQ6 is already available ? How long I've been waiting for this!!!
I saw it on amazon
Can you do how to take pictures with Polaroid one step 2
Great job .. but i expected you turn the flash off.
The sq1 excels in what these two are made to do. Take good pictures. And it does that despite its lack of features.
Which makes you wonder if all those glorified features are even useful. No wonder they removed them
Agreed….. though they could’ve maybe kept the double exposure mode
Review polaroid camerass please.
Thank you this helped me choose!
Simplicity is a cool factor. 😊
Thank you, very usefull for me. I want to borrow it for my wedding so I will go for SQ1. People there will need somenhting more "point and shoot" :)
the sq1 is cheaper now thanks to black week, so imma get it for my boyfriend for christmas :D
sq 1 more sharp of sq 6 and sq 6 that take blurry pictures?very strange
Hi! I have a question, why is fujifilm square film much more expensive than the wide film???
Thank you!
i would to buy SQ6, but I didn't find it =/
Well, if we see the price tag right now, the sq1 is wat cheaper than de sq6
So basically the SQ1 takes much better photos but you prefer SQ6 😂😂😂
i got the limited edition taylor swift camera.
What’s the point of the sq6 having more features and control when the sq1 takes much better photos 😂
Oof, two years on and the price for the SQ6 is almost $300 US. 😵💫
SQ6 is $289.95 much more expensive than SQ1
I feel like they downgraded in the new sq1 camera
What was fujifilm thinking lmao
Unrelated to the review but… you are cute 😍
I would want a self timer and I would not buy a camera that you could not mount to tripod.
@Walter Ang Gaming I am 90% paralyzed on my left side so I can only use my right hand.
Well now...Sq6 is moreeee expensive and i cant even buy sq10 or sq20...
the battery is a lot expensive to buy then the sq1.
Pic not really sharp
Taylor swift 🤣
