  • Another DIY project for my car. Updating my worn-out Honda S2000 steering wheel! I bought this one on Amazon and it turned out fairly well, especially considering the cost of the cover. The one thing I like over the others I've seen is once this one is fully stitched it looks factory. The edges tuck into the center covers perfectly. One thing I will say is the included tape is not enough to help secure the material to the wheel and I would recommend some interior fabric cement/adhesive.

After the install a couple of key takeaways:
    1. Using a heat gun will help stretch the material while stitching.
    2. Also using a good fabric/leather adhesive will help a lot!.

Did you removed original leather from your steering wheel?

I did this on my crv and the trick is to use leather gloves as the thread digs into your fingers.

Thanks for the tip, I may use that on my next wheel.

The leather on my Base RSX steering wheel is falling apart. Do you remove the original wrap before putting the new wrap?

Yeah about 4.5hrs of stitching but well worth it in the end.
