This movie Armageddon is about 25 years old and the boys are in their 70s now. They just closed their LasVegas residency in December early because of Steven’s health. Back in the day…. He was sexy and typical bad boy rocker. The song was written for the movie soundtrack by Diane Warren. She is an amazing writer and the song was nominated for an Academy Award. It is said that your taste in music is formed in your early teens. Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath with Ozzy Osbourne formed my love for music. If you don't know much about Aroesmith Steven wrote one of their biggest hits when he was only 17. Before the band was even formed and he is one of the great rock music singers with an incredible musical range that he is able to sing. That is where he got the nickname of "Demon of the scream " because of his incredible range that he is able to sing. And who ccx can forget his lips that he has. He is one of the greatest rock singers that there has ever been. Look into their incredibly deep catalog of songs over the 50 years that the band has had. Saw Aerosmith.....I was off to the side of stage about 8 rows back. the drummer was throwing drum stick out to crowd. I caught one still have it and got a good pic of Steven.....They are high on my list as one of the greats and their still going....

They had been looking for a song for the theme of the movie and the director knew that her father was a famous singer of a famous band asked her if she could ask her father to sing a song for the movie and this is what he found. A funny twist without being a spoiler is when Liv is talking to her Lover played by Ben Affleck over the video feed and reaches out to touch his face like it's the last time, she will ever see him, and they placed Steven Tyler's face (her actual father) instead for the music video.

Lead singer Steven Tyler's daughter, Liv Tyler, played the daughter of Bruce Willis, and the fiance of Ben Affleck,,, Her biggest, and best known work was as Arwen in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, but this movie, Armageddon, was a mega hit as well... It was about a meteor coming in to hit the Earth, distinguishing all life... Very action packed, and, for the most part, unpredictable... Thrilling, touching, funny, and heartbreaking movie.... Even the meteor itself seemed to have a "Personality" of it's own, in a realistic, non-cartoonish way.

You need to check out Steven Tyler and Aerosmith. Steven Tyler is one of the most sensual and out-there musicians to come out of the 70s. He’s in his late 70s-early 80s (I think) and he still sounds like that. He has a project called Janie’s House that provides shelter to abused women. The name comes from one of Aerosmith’s songs, Janie’s Got a Gun.
Aerosmith - Steve Tyler - sounds so much better live. His voice has just gotten better with age, more maturity, more soul. Amazing how he can still hit those high notes live. He’s voce never changes after 74 years.

My better half laughs at me every time we see this vid. You see, watching hero shit really really tears me up - I don’t know why, I mean is makes me embarrassed to be a man and get misty over a movie, but I remember how i got choked up at the end of the movie when Bruce play the hardcore hero and takes his place and hen he goes back to earth to start a life with his daughter … Fucking kills me…. Makes me so mad i’m such a softy but I get the feels every time the song is played and my wife knows I’m about to get something in both my eyes. Still, love the song and the vid.

This from a movie called Armageddon. The lead singer Steven Tyler was ask by the producers to write a song for the movie. So he wrote " I don't Want to Miss a Thing " His daughter is the girl you see on the video from the movie. Her name is Liv Tyler an actress. This was Aerosmith's only # 1 hit in 1998, which when the movie came out. Steven is 75 years old now. This guy sounds the same as he did decades ago. The group formed in 1970. Their still playing together.
Aerosmith performed it, but the song is written by Diane Warren. She’s a great songwriter/ composer.
I don't know if you've watched "Armageddon" at this point yet, but you should if you haven't. It's an unexpectedly really good movie, and once you see it, that final scene of this video where her hand is on the screen with static will get you every time.

You really need to watch this movie. Great cast and action. They also did a movie called deep impact the same year as Armageddon in 1998 about an asteroid coming towards earth and was pretty good too. I'd recommend you see them both. Another great reaction Britt ❤.

Clearly you need to start doing movie reactions because this song was so emotionally powerful and a perfect fit for the plot of the movie Armageddon. A funny twist without being a spoiler is when Liv is talking to her Lover played by Ben Affleck over the video feed and reaches out to touch his face like it's the last time, she will ever see him, and they placed Steven Tyler's face (her actual father) instead for the music video.
Actually not astronauts, at least not at first but a group of driller(oil, wells, etc) recruited to go into space...I don't want to spoil the movie but you should check it out
That ending that you called tragic... Made many a grown man cry in the movie... A lot more then will ever admit it... Lead singer Steven Tyler's daughter, Liv Tyler, played the daughter of Bruce Willis, and the fiance of Ben Affleck,,, Her biggest, and best known work was as Arwen in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, but this movie, Armageddon, was a mega hit as well... It was about a meteor coming in to hit the Earth, distinguishing all life... Very action packed, and, for the most part, unpredictable... Thrilling, touching, funny, and heartbreaking movie.... Even the meteor itself seemed to have a "Personality" of it's own, in a realistic, non-cartoonish way.
If you haven't seen a lot of movies, you should start reacting to movies as well. I think you would be great, and your subscribers would guide you to the good movies. Love your music reactions by the way, you really listen to the lyrics, some people don't.

I've never seen the movie, but I certainly know Steve Tyler of Aerosmith. His style of singing is unmistakable. This isn't quite what I'm used to hearing from them, but I guess their style of music has changed over the years. I'm more a fan of their earlier music.
You’re right, it’s definitely a different sound compared to their other music. But, it was written by Diane Warren for Aerosmith, and it’s still their only hit to reach number one on the charts. Which his crazy considering how good their catalog is.

Sometimes, you’re an old soul. Other times, like this, you’re like a child in awe. I love it! However, how could you not know this movie and song? Even if you didn’t didn’t watch Armageddon, it was a big movie you should know. It’s unrealistic, fortunately, but it’s entertaining fiction. And props to Steven Tyler’s beautiful daughter, Liv.
