I found some amazing rare guppy fish at my LFS and just had to buy them. I'm setting up a nano tank that will hopefully have lots of new babies in soon and then I can move the adults into a larger tank.

I'm one of those who's been watching for some time now, and with Lana's statement, I fully agree. But when I see how you design the scape, I watch and admire the beauty of how the tank looks. It feels so serene. A tear 😢 rolls down my cheek. Then you do it. You start adding more plants. I start pulling on my beard and hair. I say, "Nooo! What is he doing, Nooo!" I realize it looks as fabulous as ever. You do create beautiful scapes. I just wish you would leave it alone sometimes.

Dear MD.
You should make a $100 challenge video where you build a you scape a fish tank from scratch without using things you already have. It would be very interesting to see if you can make a quality fish tank with a price limit.

This is probably the first time in my adult live that I took a look at guppys and thought "damn, I would like to keep those". Absolutely gorgeous, never have seen a female guppy with that much coloration.

I appreciate all of your artistry and tips but sometimes I wonder if the fish have enough room? The tank was like 4G and when adding the soil, sand, branches, rocks, and plants it’s like ok so now they really just have 2G to swim in. The decor is great but wouldn’t it be better in a 10 gallon or more? Sometimes it feels like the focus is more on making pretty works of art rather than providing a nice space for this amount of fish to roam etc

Those tiny filters work wonders for sure I love them as well. I have them in my beta fish tanks. They are Magi "magic" for sure lol
Considering buying one is it noisey? I got a cheap filter with my tank but it's really loud

"Long body" Koi guppies are difficult to find. Good find! ❤️ They are my favorite guppy!

You know what's really cool about puppies when you buy them and they relax for a few days the colors change.
Although I find that males fight way too much.
Ironically I made a panther gets along with the guppies pretty well
I bred my guppy and the adults that ate babies i got rid of and the ones that didnt I kept, took 2 generations and I had only good parents in there it was awesome seeing 300 - 500 babies in there every few weeks

I would have left the middle open for more depth & shadows. Almost a little too overkill with the plants being mostly in the front, but all in all I like your idea and it looks really good, keep it up!

I even did a aquarium course at college a few years back and loved the idea of having fish. but the past week I've been more set on having my own. I'm going out soon to buy the bits for it! I got a couple of those internal filters thanks to you and I love them. The only thing I dislike is everything coming back out and making a mess of the aquarium when trying to pull it out to clean the filter. I do it before the water change but it makes quite the mess!

I love everything about the tank, I have one myself but more like a mini pond style. ONLY THING IS please cycle the tank before adding the guppies. That could’ve ended badly. Everything else is amazing though!

Bit random but I'm completely obsessed with rabbit snails atm, I would love to see them pop up in one of your videos so I can live vicariously through you... I have way too many snails in my tank rn and probably shouldn't be adding any more 😂
I recommend Tropco/Nitrico goop. It's actual live bacteria that is packaged and delivered to your house within 24-72 hours. They also sell mature filters. Prices aren't bad either!
Before you put the foreground plants in it was like a Desert Scape!
It would be a lovely European Stoneloach home.....they love stream type 'scapes...
Put a pair in they'd nest in the gravel under the wood...mine did.
Oh and the end result was stunning. The Guppies reminded me of Asagi Koi 🤗🤗

The problem with leaving just a few guppies in there...is you won't have just a few for long xD those are really nice fish though!

My 55 gallon tank sprung a leak last night and it was a rush drain it once I noticed it in the unfortunately carpeted room it's in, and ashe all the substrate snd few plants I've only recently placed in there. Thankfully I had not yet stocked it with fish. I was just starting up my planted tank first.
