For the NC miata there is a rollbar allowing unbolting the hoop from the base allowing the retractable hardtop to be functional. This is what we need for the RF.

I have to agree with gettung the soft top vs the RF. For a person who everyday drives it RF is the way to go, but if you want ro track it get the ST.

Absolutely! Although I have been in discussion with SPS in Germany and they are making a newly revised Roll Bar that will work with the RF

The interior can be more pleasant by replacing the brake and shift boot with leather from Redline Goods. I've done this and added the the foam armrest they offer (keeps me from hitting that damn entertainment switch). Interior now seems more "upscale".

I’ve had my RF for 3 years and living near Chicago and it being my daily driver I needed it for the winters here

I live in N.E. and use "fluid film" to under coat every season. I've put over 100K miles each through many winters on an NC and ND and never had rust issues. Highly recommended.

In Northern Illinois with a 2016 Club soft top & its a daily driver. I change out the wheels / tires / rotation for the seasonal change myself. The soft top works just as well if not better than the hard top because you lose 140 pounds of weight. That weight difference is huge in a ND / ND2. I use 303 Convertible Kit with a round soft bristle brush for every car wash. In fall I use the Fabric Guard with sponge brushes. The top has worked very well for the 6 plus years I've driven in winter. BTW the RF has the same roof filters in place so parking under trees in summer / fall is NEVER what I do. Awesome car to drive in any weather & its been thru some of the worst conditions in my life. The RF's were just being delivered in the 1st week of March 2017 when I bought my 2016 Club. They were all sold coming off the transport trucks at the local Mazda dealer & everyone at the time wanted one. TY RF owners I got a really good deal on my soft top ! 😎
