Yooo don’t forget about Goodwin-Racing. They have an exhaust for everyone…aggressive/subtle/sporty. I personally have the SuperStreet twin tip (they also have single). It includes a mixing baffle that allows me to choose between heavy bass, mid bass/mid treble, full treble/high frequency. The exhaust note is splendid!
Goodwin Racing is very high at the top if not #1 for MX-5 Miatas. I don't know why this isn't even mentioned. Great build quality, great sound signature, great volume depending on which one you go with, great selections and great customer service.
Late to the party! Don't forget the Flyin' Miata "Hush-o-Matic". If you don't want the raspy, tuner/drifter/auto cross obnoxious loud BRAAAPP!, then the Hush-o-Matic is for you. It uses engine vacuum to open a butterfly valve, that diverts 90% of the exhaust around the muffler baffles, and out it's own tailpipe. The engine noise resonates inside the muffler can, making the tone low and growly (is that a word?), while increasing volume, without being nasty. When at idle, the valve is closed, pushing all the exhaust through the baffles, and out the other tailpipe. While just a tiny bit louder than OEM, it is not at all too loud for the neighbors...or your Grandma. Stand on the go fast pedal, the increasing roar echoing off buildings is perfectly reminiscent of classic Triumph, MG, Aston etc roadsters. Easy to install, takes about an hour-ish if you have a lift, 2 hours-ish if just a jack and stands.
I have the Flying Miata active exhaust with the butterfly valve called Hush O Matic. The valve opens when the throttle is given but closes when those times you are not pushing the car making the neighbors happy. Great sounding plus a Lifetime Warranty too ! Love this one !
That's almost an impossible mission. The "sound" comes from the fact that the exhaust is opened up. Keeping that oem loudness but a better sound is difficult. Could definitely look into getting a valved exhaust though!
Nice video. I have a ND2 2023 GT. I have seen that not all axlebacks "fit" (bolt on) for ND3 2023. Do you have a list of the axlebacks that actually bolt on to the oem intermediate pipe for a 2023? A muffler delete would be great, but the ones I've seen (ISR) only apply up to 2018... Anyone feel free to chime in. Thanks!
The HKS one here on the video doesn’t sound like much… It barely sounds different and louder than a stock Miata. The GReddy one is a bit better but nothing crazy. It’s unfortunate.
HKS always seems to be for ppl who like to name-drop, like in Fast & Furious..."I have an HKS exhaust, and Momo seats, steering wheel and shift knob, 885 wheels, and lambskin driving gloves..."
Wow these are all the mufflers no one cares about lol.. most people get the Goodwin options or Cobalt Also could barely even hear the exhaust in any of these clips

They're not ready for the truth!
Goodwin is definitely the way to go with the Miata honestly
@@ObiWanStromboli They must not sell Godwin. LOK
I've bought the Goodwin Tip too. Just waiting for it to arrive.
WTF no Goodwin???
werid no flyin miata and no goodwin?

We don't have their products on our site, hence them not being on this list! Doesn't mean they don't make good exhausts!
@@maperformance You should have changed the title to top 5 exhausts we sell.
@@ohplezz hahaha....you're correct
rcp exhaust is the only exhaust that truly impressed me, the exhausts you showed in this clip sound undistinguishable from stock

I have the Flyin' Miata "Hush-O-Matic", and prefer it even at idling. It sounds great! and looks good too!
I had an HKS Legamax premium on an NC and it's was sublime.
The Remark is the best sounding !
Raspy as fuck, no thanks
It really sounds like cars in initial D

Are there exhausts available that sound better, but are not louder than stock?
That's almost an impossible mission. The "sound" comes from the fact that the exhaust is opened up. Keeping that oem loudness but a better sound is difficult. Could definitely look into getting a valved exhaust though!
What’s the point then?
The original Miata doesn’t sound like much…
It should be a bit louder.
No Cobalt? What rock have you guys been hiding under??!
How is the Cobalt? I'm considering this one to purchase.
Hi, which wheels are those on the main picture (and also size) ? Seems to be Advan racing but I don't find models with 7 spokes. Thank you, bye

Greddy and HKS stand out to me
Any opinions of the racing beats power pulse exhaust?
What about ulter sport?
Roadster sport exhaust is the best
video about exhaust sounds made with horrible audio quality/ editing...
No tomei???
GWR is notable in its absence. Why?
This is a list of exhausts available for purchase on our site!
Hey you fixed it! Nice audio :)
Yes! Thank you!
Where’s the Racing Beat?
The HKS one here on the video doesn’t sound like much…
It barely sounds different and louder than a stock Miata.
The GReddy one is a bit better but nothing crazy.
It’s unfortunate.
You forgot the Ulter Sport
Exactly
How about the BBR lineup?
The BBR super sport muffler is really great very "bassy" and don't sound like a honda Civic
Without changing the whole system from the manifold…, I think the sound test are little use.
Lame, these video clips of the exhaust tones were too short.
No Goodwin Roadstersport? Don't know what you are talking about.
HKS is amazing. And doesn’t sound like a honda . Last one on list is a total Honda exhaust lol
The HKS one here on the video doesn’t sound like much…
It barely sounds different and louder than a stock Miata.
Is it just me or do these all sound awful? If this is what Miata’s sound like with exhausts, I’m going stock or quieter lol
Quieter?
Drive an EV then… 😂
Ulter exhaust
I love my Miata, but you can’t make a 4 sound like an 8. None of these are worth the money in my opinion.
that’s not necessarily what people aim for when they choose an exhaust?
sounds better than my AWE equipped WRX...well, except for the HKS...
HKS always seems to be for ppl who like to name-drop, like in Fast & Furious..."I have an HKS exhaust, and Momo seats, steering wheel and shift knob, 885 wheels, and lambskin driving gloves..."
Are you kidding? Invidia
....period.
Cobalt sounds better.
Good grief, these are all expensive.
Wow these are all the mufflers no one cares about lol.. most people get the Goodwin options or Cobalt
Also could barely even hear the exhaust in any of these clips
