Budget LS AND BBC Electric Pumps Are The SAME? Proform LS Electric Water Pump 68230 | How To LS Swap

In this video we are going to be installing a BIG BLOCK electric water pump onto an LS ENGINE. Normally this is not actually possible but things change when you use the optional adapters which allow you to use a BBC water pump in place of an expensive LS specific water pump. The water pump in question is unit 68230 made by the guys over at ‪@PROFORMParts‬ followed by the letter of the color of the pump. In our case, the part number ends in "B" so the complete number would be 68230B. The part number for the big block chevy to LS water pump adapters is 66243. This video will be short and sweet so that anyone can do this conversion if they desire to use an electric water pump for themselves.

I have seen this video (others made same content) however no one seems to have a handle on the upper rad side of things?? still trying to figure out how this is a cheaper/better way when after you get all the stuff it takes to do you as much or more then just buying the right ls electric water pump??

You are right! A lot more money because you'll need to redo your serpentine belt routing in order to properly get your electric water pump installed in a regular car. I don't recommend electric pumps for the street, its more of a performance mod if you plan to make more power or race it

@@NightWrencher e.w.p is great for the street, especially with a carb. but you need a controller with soft start and delayed shutdown when the engine is turned off. i hope you will get into all that for everybody.
