Good update Brother! Truly nothing like having to modify tools to make a part work! 😅 I really hope the water pump works out for you! I appreciate you explaining the mods you had make to the tool and the sequence the bolts have to be put in…that will save someone else a lot of time! 💯👊🏾
Good morning VRM. I agree with NoFox use studs. You could use a small diameter ARP nut, 12 point to be installed on your studs. It should give you the room for a wrench. Your engine job is going to be nice. Take care, Ed.
good idea and probably the best route to go with this design, still not sure if there is enough room to get the nut in there though, would be worth a shot.
Great info. Thanks for sharing! I still run a mechanical, the cost of a Meziere has kept me from going electric and wasnt sure about the cheaper ones. Hope it works out for you!
Just dispute the charge and keep the extra one for the event of an emergency etc. it’s not your responsibility to do all that work and take up your time to correct their mistake. Unless you accidentally did order two by mistake and it is possible. I always thoroughly go through my order or my cart if you will, before making the final order because I have accidentally tapped on the quantity selection option on a certain product that was in my cart among several other items and I would have had the same problem if I hadn’t gone back through my order and visually checked everything out before finalizing the purchase order
Thanks, it's still working fine so far but it is a big pain to get installed, just a very poor design, when it breaks I will just get a better design like Meziere or Moroso probably.
Yeah Ive got the exact same one on my car I bought off ebay . I thought it came with a cool sticker on it but it didnt . It was a csx brand or something close to that but I had to take the same 2 bolts out to get the other ones in and it didnt line up the best with the timing cover bolts and the radiator hose was a lil close to the balancer. So installation sucked but it does work well and isnt loud during operation. The big difference in price between it and the miziere is the best feature between the 2 although it might fit a lil better I can deal with a headache to save $400 bucks I guess. I also bought and installed one on my brothers 65 mustang and it was a headache as well but works well. I finally got my interior done so hopefully I can go to the track soon. I got my slicks , now I just need some wheels to put them on. I got a big brake kit to install as well as a line lock and a vic jr intake I ported . The chinese knock off has a big pinch point in it that I tried to port out but its way to hard to get because its in the middle where u cant get very well with a burr. Ill prob hafta jet up after these changes. I cant wait to see ya run that 10 with that animal 💪👹
Thanks Anthony! Next Test and tune here is June 10th, going to try to get out to one of the street legal wednesday night at the track since I still have mufflers, catalytic converters and the Hoosier QTP are DOT slicks so I can run on the street car nights.
@@vrm86gt that will be pretty cool , i didnt know that u were still running cats All i have are the long tubes that runs into 3"race bullets then to x pipe then run out the side one on each side. Im looking for some rims like the ones already on the back to put the slicks on so that no matter what I run I will always match but other than that and a couple other lil things Im ready to go see what I can get it to do. Hopefully I can make it do alot 😅
Great review on the installation issues! I wonder now if it is made well enough to keep the engine cool! Even with the installation troubles $80 would be a deal if it worked well.
I ran one of those on my 351C for awhile. It worked fine, but my biggest issue was getting the bottom port on the opposite side of the hose to stop leaking.
@@vrm86gt I did as well, and still mine wanted to weep. I had to crank it down so tight I was afraid it was gonna break something to get it to stop. And even then I noticed when I took it off there was indications it had still been seeping a little.
I do not care for that design. I have used my Meziere electric water pump for over 20 years, sent in for a reseal, and polish, after 18 years, fit like a glove. Thanks for the warning vrm

that is a good idea, if I have to remove it I will hit up my local ACE hardware and piece together stud mounts for both lower bolts.
Putting a Stud and nut in the place of that bolt would be the route I would go I think

I will probably spring for a meziere some where down the road or go back mechanical with the electric drive motor
Thanks for sharing this review on the water pump. I think a stud and bolt may work there, but your method worked as well. Great vid brother!! 👊🏼🏁
Thank you Paul!
That's pretty bad when you have to start cutting and modifying tools just to install a part. Coming along nicely though. Have a great week Donald
Thanks! yeah, it's unfortunate most parts nowadays need some sort of modification right out of the box (from China) Lol!

I've got those c clip eliminator, I like the sealed bearings

Do you have to take out the thermostat to make it run
Thanks for checking out my video, I don't run a thermostat, I have Moroso water outlet restrictor plate, www.summitracing.com/parts/mor-63440
Awesome update. Exactly what you expect from China. At least you made it work.
Yep, I bet there are probably 20 brands of the same pump out there too! lol!
I need that alternator bracket

Order from super shops next time... Ends up being cheaper
Thanks, I will check that out!
Geez, kind of too much trouble. Not really worth the savings.
Agreed!
just not a good design to get to those lower bolts on the small block ford.
