Great Choice! Once your facinated by Stevie’s voice, there is no way back. There are so many great songs for you to check out. For next song I recommend “Landslide”. From 1977. From the first album with Stevie and Lindsey in the band.
What an AMAZING reaction. The music (Lindsey's guitar) is the bed on which the comforter (Stevie's voice) lies. It is interesting that you used that reference. I have heard people describe Lindsey's guitar as the musical realization of Stevie's voice. There are many instances where the timbre of his guitar playing mimics Stevie's vocal tones. They are musical soulmates. Together, they create magic. The live 1997 version of Landslide illustrates their synchrony and history.
I just love towards the end of the video where all the beautiful colors come in and then the young children dancing around Stevie, such innocence, very uplifting.
Lindsey Buckingham's guitar picking is nothing less than phenomenal. He never used a pick. He arranged most of FM's music. I highly recommend live performances of Big Love and I'm So Afraid. He is very unappreciated. Not sure if you know the history of the band or of Rumours or of Stevie and Lindsey but it's pretty wild. Worth learning about. You need to hear Dreams - Stevie's breakup song to Lindsey and Go Your Own Way - Lindsey's breakup song to Stevie both from Rumours and both incredible.
Lindsey Buckingham is a self-taught guitarist, known for his unique fingerpicking style and his use of alternative tunings. No one sounds like Lindsey and he is so underrated. He does not use a pick and instead uses his fingers to pluck the strings. His unique sound plays a big part in Fleetwood Mac's special sound.
I was like 8 when this video came out and Stevie instantly became my fairy godmother. She was magical, the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen in my life. Forty years later, nothing's really changed.
My favorite FM song and video. The rhythm section on this track is sublime. Stevie sounds and looks gorgeous, dancing in the rain and twirling through a magical forest. Quintessential Stevie!
I had a huge 'crush' on Stevie when I was younger and this song reminded and still reminds me of her. A timeless classic from a talented singer. Phenomenal voice
The construction of the song is all about moving forward, so LB's guitar exit solo is as unexpected at first at it makes perfect sense afterwards and becomes such a sparkling highlight of the song you get to yearn for it. Also it should last 17 minutes ; )
My mother and aunt saw Fleetwood Mac on the Mirage tour, of which Glenn Frey of Eagles was the opening act. I wish I were old enough to have seen that concert.
…….ahh yeahhh…. Great memories, Back in 1982 all the Boys in high school were crushing on Stevie 🥰 I was on the top of that list ❤️ her eyes, her voice, her style….. “Gypsy Queen” 🤣😂🤣
Fleetwood Mac have such a distinctive sound and know how to compose great songs and write great lyrics that are synergistic. It's amazing that two musical genoises attended the same high school. BTW It's great that you're passing down your musical discoveries to your daughter.
This may be a great choice for your daughter, Shawn, because it's magical and, frankly, so pretty. Your metaphors about the song were terrific, and. yes, the instrumental arrangement and Lindsay's beautiful guitar work are just transcendent on this.
Okay; so this is a longer version of this song than you can fine on the LP. I recently found a deluxe version of Mirage with a bunch of additional songs, including this version of the song, which is listed a Video Version. This is one of my favorite songs from her, and is a tale of her life before Fleetwood Mac. Her and Lindsey moved to LA, and she worked two jobs to keep food on the table. Lindsey didn't work; he just stayed home and worked on his music. She would shop at thrift stores; which is where she got many of the outfits she still wears (including those in this video). The idea of Gypsy is back then; she would sit on the floor and listen to music, write her songs, and pretty much this was her happy place. The song is talking about being able to spend time relaxing like she did in those days, on the floor listening to music. The room in the video is to represent her room and her old life.
A few good Stevie Nicks with Fleetwood Mac songs for you and your daughter to listen to that are not as well known , Beautiful Child ( do the live version from the Dance concert ) and Sisters of the Moon ( do the live 1982 concert version )
Some bands like Fleetwood Mac and Tears for fears take the ‘pop song’ to an entirely different level of quality and complexity. The musicianship is the equal of any band at any time.
With what you just learned about their prior partnership, you're able to better understand why his guitar fits this song so well, they instinctively know where the other is going musically. And the video is among the best ever done.
For your daughter - Stevie went solo a couple times. "Bella Donna" and "Wild Heart" are two of my favorite solo albums. I think she'll enjoy those very much! Now for you I suggest "Big Love" live. That'll give you an idea of what a guitar genius Lindsey Buckingham is ❤
Fleetwood Mac in all their guises where different gravy, tunes like I need your love and Albatross by Pete green fleetwood Mac But Stevie was my teenage crush 😻 😂🫶🏴🇬🇧
Another great song by one of the 20th century's greatest songwriters. Early Fleetwood Mac to listen to - Man Of The World: ua-cam.com/video/9GPR848mhIs/v-deo.html
If you want to see Stevie Nicks BEFORE she and Lindsey joined Fleetwood Mac, try the album titled simply Buckingham Nicks. She and Lindsey made a terrific album that was never a commercial success, even though every song is great! When Mick Fleetwood hear this album he could not wait to ask Lindsey and Stevie to join his group. When they did join, Fleetwood Mac rocketed to stardom! Suggestions: Crying In The Night, Long Distance Winner, Crystal, Races Are Run, and the magnificent Frozen Love, which has a spectacular guitar solo by Buckingham! Love your reactions!
I was lucky enough to get a copy of B/N about a year after its release (before they joined FM) and have loved it ever since, and still play it often, (on a home recorded CD, this LP was getting worn out). Strongly agree, he (and everyone) should be exposed to this album. (The reason it wasn't successful was that the record co. gave it no promotion at all.)
Hi Shawn! Kindly recommending more Sinead O’Connor on your channel. :) audio/album versions of Troy, Fire In Babylon, Empire w/ Bomb the Bass, Black Boys on Mopeds… so many great songs. And please more Fleetwood Mac too !
That's one of the things about this version; that guitar is shorten, and not as rich as it is in this video. The album and single doesn't give you much of a taste of the sound you get from this video.
Lindsay Buckingham is probably the most underrated lead guitarist in the 1970s.
Great Choice! Once your facinated by Stevie’s voice, there is no way back. There are so many great songs for you to check out. For next song I recommend “Landslide”. From 1977. From the first album with Stevie and Lindsey in the band.
1975.
Sorry, of course it was 1975.
Yes! The original “Landslide,” *not* the “official” one! Her singing is so much better in the original.
What an AMAZING reaction. The music (Lindsey's guitar) is the bed on which the comforter (Stevie's voice) lies.

R.I.P Christie McVie

She 'plays' the words of the song using her voice as an instrument. Mesmerising and brilliant.
YOU NAILED IT !!
@jorgevargas4234 Thank you. 🙂
My favorite FM song and video. The rhythm section on this track is sublime. Stevie sounds and looks gorgeous, dancing in the rain and twirling through a magical forest. Quintessential Stevie!
💖💖💖 Try Stevie w/Tom Petty "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" and Stevie w/Don Henley "Leather And Lace" and Stevie singing "Landslide".
HOF song right here.....great performance...composition...arrangement....all of it!!!!!!
Still pure magic all these years later; I get emotional every time I watch this vid and hear this very evocative ethereal song.
I had a huge 'crush' on Stevie when I was younger and this song reminded and still reminds me of her.
A timeless classic from a talented singer.
Phenomenal voice

I love this song, one of their best👍👏👏👏♥️♥️

Other couple of artists who attended the same HS at the same time with each other: Barbra Streisand and Neil Diamond.
This song, this band...an absolute masterpiece
Some Lindsey Buckingham guitar skills, Big Love, I'm So Afraid
From a better time, when MTV married song, and video perfectly. One on their best.
You would like ‘Sara’ from Tusk or the Greatest Hits albums. IE the unedited version.
Silver Springs is the best.
One of the best songs and video ever!
If you haven't already react to Rhiannon live one of the best live performances you'll ever see with Stevie Nicks at her best
-love that song- !
This may be a great choice for your daughter, Shawn, because it's magical and, frankly, so pretty. Your metaphors about the song were terrific, and. yes, the instrumental arrangement and Lindsay's beautiful guitar work are just transcendent on this.
Rhiannon Live peformance by Fleetwood mac was amazing if you can do that one, great reactions, cheers from Melbourne Australia

AHHHHH... MY THEME SONG. BELOVED SONG! THANK YOU SHAWN!

Don't miss the 72-74 version with Bob Welch...especially Hypnotized and Sentimental Lady
Beautiful ♥️🎼🌷

Before Fleetwood Mac, they made an album called Buckingham Nicks. There is a song on that album called Frozen Love you should check out.
Check out her solo single, Talk To Me...powerful
❤❤one of my favorites ❤❤
She’s so good ❤

Frozen Love has to be one of the most overlooked masterpieces in rock history. It's so criminally underrated.
@@Pulsar77 Absolutely. Fleetwood apparently like it. 😀
YAY **LuvMyGoldDustMysticalMagicalGypsyQueen** Weeee **PixieTwirls**
If you want to introduce your daughter to another vocalist, try introducing her to the other woman song writer in the band, Christine Mc Vie.
🖤🖤🖤🎵🎵🎵
Hi Shawn! Kindly recommending more Sinead O’Connor on your channel. :) audio/album versions of Troy, Fire In Babylon, Empire w/ Bomb the Bass, Black Boys on Mopeds… so many great songs.

Check out pre-Nicks/Buckingham Fleetwood Mac's 'Hypnotized', written and sung by Bob welch (recomment the studio/album version).
Love to see you dig into Fleetwood Mac
Saw them at the Rockefeller center live do this song ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Check out Buckingham Nicks- Frozen Love.
It’s the song that got them into Fleetwood Mac.
Rumors was the first Fleetwood Mac album i bought as a teenager in the early 70s had a crush on stevie but who didnt lol...
This is one if the nicer ways that either Stevie or Lindsey came up with to say "see ya".
Really like your channel. Gypsy my fav from FM. Suggestion: Boz Scaggs 'Lowdown'.
Ditto: react to Rhiannon live what are the best live performances you'll ever see and Stevie Nicks at her best
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Check out Bobby Rush Ain't Studdin Ya. Fun Blues video.
Please don't disregard the other female singer from Fleetwood Mac, Christine Perfect
Watch 1983 Fleetwood Mac’s Mirage tour
Try Landslide if you haven't already.
You should bring your wife on the channel and do reactions with her. Peace peace
Wait.. Was he watching the video? He hasn’t have any idea how ground breaking this was for 1982.
That's one of the things about this version; that guitar is shorten, and not as rich as it is in this video. The album and single doesn't give you much of a taste of the sound you get from this video.
Interesting because the first line is "Sold my BED" so maybe you picked up on that 😅
The acoustic is of the chain or is that Lindsey
❤
first to comment, nice
Congrats!
-yaay- ! 🍪 ⭐️
Hey...somebody has to do it.
