the ending guitar was lindsey buckingham playing his signature finger picking (or plucking??) lol. he's such a great guitarist. and the words and singing by stevie nicks are so mystical in this song. love them
I'm amazed at how much this generation and others discovering Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks... I grew up listening to them and luckily for me to meet them in 2001 during the Say You Will tour they visited my store, didn't get to meet Christine but I met Stevie, Lindsey, John and Mick, awesome night, will never forget it
Lindsey Buckingham from Fleetwood Mac was a master in experimentation with sounds. His production skills and Stevie’s songwriting talent was a winning combination.
Stevie Nicks wrote this song in 1979. No computers then. People forget what a great song writer Stevie Nicks was. She was one of the best. She has written so many great songs. And, she of course sang all of them (As far as I know).
Christine on keyboards and Lindsay on guitar can meld sometimes, so good together. Stevie is a great poet, soulful, super humble, emotional performer. Great band. Great Era for music. The 80s had begun and the Mac was back.
My absolute favorite band and I've been a fan for nearly 50 years. Each member is uniquely talented, but I have a special love for Stevie and Lindsey. Her voice and poetry are legendary but it's what she does with a song, how she puts it together that makes her a stand out artist, plus she's a mighty force at barely 5'2". What makes Lindsey one of the best and often underrated guitar players of all time is how he uses that electric guitar. If you listen closely, be is often playing as if he were at least two separate guitar players, sometimes 3. When he is absent from the band as he is currently, it took two to replace him. I don't know anyone else who can do what he does. I like to see people like yourself getting turned on to their music and appreciating it. The song in a nutshell is about shedding the trappings of life and returning to a simpler time when you had fewer possessions but more freedom. The older I get, the more I want that.
It was real guitar at the end. Lindsey Buckinghams influence was fingerpicking, bluegrass, and banjo, and he plays with his fingers (actually, he’s really plucking with the tips of his nails) like a banjo player. All on electric guitar of course.
I think we as music lovers need to attach or label Fleetwood Mac Vibes of music as "Enchantment Music." Because it seduces or cast a spell on its listeners by the enchanting musicality and haunting vocal delivery of the lyrics. Absolutely one of my all-time favorite Rock😊😊😊
Just now finding your channel! I’m 47 and love this song because it’s the first song I remember hearing growing up. My grandfather listened to this record.
I remember having such a crush on her. I'd love to see a reaction to her solo work - especially "You Can Talk To Me." Her voice is so powerful and smoky at the same time.
The reference to the gypsy, room with lace and paper flowers … she’s reflecting on her early, simpler days when she and Lindsey were pre-FM, pretty poor and with simpler dreams than being hugely successful and somewhat unhappy.
Love your reviews and appreciate your recognition of the multi talented Stevie Nicks. Her career with Fleetwood Mac and as a solo artist is enduring. Dreams and Edge of Seventeen are also worth a listen.
This song has always made me a bit emotional. "I have no fear, I have only love, And if I was a child, And the child was enough, Enough for me to love, Enough to love." How could that part not stir something up inside you?
Gypsy is one of my very favorite Fleetwood Mac tunes. Love the video, too. I had goosebumps during your vid! Lindsey was playing guitar at the end. His signature technique 😊
I love that you describe songs as "beautiful", or "gorgeous". I use those descriptions a lot for various songs and friends/family sort of scratch their heads in confusion. I always say "well, then you're just not getting the transmission". Lol Great reaction sir Teez !
also you should definitely react to more fleetwood mac! the chain, go your own way, tusk, gold dust woman, don't stop, say you love me are a lot of hits. I've been getting into their albums with lindsey buckingham and stevie nicks as a part of the band, my favorite line up. if you want to go for songs that weren't singles a favorite of mine right now is empire state. so good lol
When this song 🎵 come out I was 22 Yes sir it was a guitar 🎸 One of the biggest hits of Stevie Nicks solo career Was probably Landslide A masterpiece I recommend too you
Check out Walter Egan's "Magnet and Steel' Stevie does background vocals on it, as well as Bob Welch (another Fleetwood Mac member) "Sentimental lady" "Ebony eyes"
I HIGHLY recommend you react to Fleetwood Mac I’m so afraid live the Dance 1997! You’ll see why Lindsey is truly one of the greatest guitarists with a stage presence that is unmatchable! Rhiannon live midnight special 1976 is a MUST as well! ✌🏻
I’m really digging my girl Stevie and FM getting airplay because of reaction and skateboarding vidijas. Really wonderful to see so many young folks digging the old music I grew up on. (and yep that’s Lindsey Buckingham’s picking at the end)
No computer....pure raw talented guitar playing...by Lindsey Buckingham....its real talent...i love this band...i love Stevie voice ...the lyrics...the beautiful instrument playing by true artists
It is a guitar! Lindsey slows down the tape machine, then records, then puts the tape machine back up to normal speed, and the result is that shimmery shiney magical sound :)
The multi-layered guitar solo Lindsey built at the end was masterful. Here’s an excellent suggestion: Now watch the 1982 Live version of this song to answer your solo question.
I hate to say this but when we're all about 21 22years old we used to laugh at stevie nicks voice it sounded like she singing like a goat 🐐 all my friends use to give her a hard time about her voice. She sang great i thought and i was the only one stuck up for her but when you get older people change their ways of thinking Iam 71yrs old now and a lot my friends are pass on it's too bad.
Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham were a couple for a long time. She considered him the one great love of her life. She stated "Lindsey always blamed Fleetwood Mac for the loss of me. Had we not joined, we would have continued on with our music but we probably would have gotten married and we probably would have had a child and it would have been a different life."
I've watched a few of your videos in a row now and I really appreciate the fact that you take to time to not only listen to the music, but evaluate the lyrics and try to understand the song as a whole. You should try Piece of Mind or More Than a Feeling by Boston. Foreplay/Long Time is good by them as well, but it quite long, but still give it a listen. Thanks again, and keep them coming!
I'm almost positive somebody already said this but Lindsey Buckingham slowed the analog tape of the track down and played the fingerstyle guitar part at the end and then sped the whole thing back up. The Beatles did the same thing with George Martin's piano solo on "In my life".
That "end part" that you hear is one of those things that we hear or we don't. My sister insists of a sound in this song that I don't hear and I bet that's the sound you're trying to describe.
I love the original Fleetwood Mac as well as the supergroup they became with Buckingham & Nicks. Lindsay Buckinghams' guitar stylings fit to a T, but Peter Green was a guitar genius. This is one of their most popular ones, people no doubt wore out their vinyl copies with repeated listening. Enlightened reaction, T✌
It is Lindsey Buckingham playing guitar at the end. The studio recording is very layered and obviously it sounds slightly different live because of that. He has always experimented with different sounds and also plays without a pick. Fans know he’s one of the greats but (in my opinion) he doesn’t quite generally get the recognition I believe he deserves.
i think, and i might be wrong, but i think stevie wrote this song shortly after her best friend passed away... so much sadness in it, with so much beauty...
Man thanks for being yourself and giving real reaction to this song, unlike lots of the people who make reaction videos and act like every song they hear is their favorite song ever, just to appease their viewers lol. Lots of fakers out there.
You need to go back and read up on some of the Fleetwood Mac gossip. There was a lot of it! But, that gossip (thruth) turned into a bunch of great songs. The pain and anguish you hear in these songs are the pain and anguish the members of the band were actually living through. Lets not forget that these people were all amazing musical artists on top of that. The 1997 album The Dance is a good record to listen to. They also performed The Dance in a live concert, which is out on UA-cam. Worth looking up if only to see Tusk performed with the USC Marching Band on stage. Talk about a drum line! I love when younger folks find great artists of the past. You are the reason that great songs and artists are remembered. Thank you.
She is actually my very distant cousin. You should try Riannon, the chain an one did by the other lady in the group who is equally talanted but never got recognition,Tell me lies
Teez, I hope you enjoyed the holiday ❤️ awesome to see you devour different genres, please consider TUSK by Fleetwood Mac 🙏 you my friend can thank me later 😉 love to you and yours Champ ❤️
Lindsey buckingham produce and put stevie nicks words around his guitar playing of course everyone knows about their relationship if not then they lived together for 6yrs before they join fleetwood mac but mick fleetwood just wanted lindsey buckingham for his guitar playing they did not want another woman singer in the band so they all met at a Mexican restaurant and christine mcvie made the choice she liked stevie but really lindsey did not want to join fleetwood mac but stevie wanted to get in the band well stevie pleaded with lindsey buckingham to join fleetwood mac so he did But lindsey knew once they join fleetwood mac there relationship was too go south and it did.
New subscriber here, love Fleetwood Mac suggest “The Chain” Edge of Seventeen” 👍I have a request Nightwish cover of Pink Floyd’s “High Hopes” live. 🔥🔥🔥
I loved your review of Dreams...I recommend ‘The Chain’, which is part of what I consider to be Fleetwood Mac’s most iconic album, Rumours...I would love to know your opinion of it...
Mannn, Im mad at you ! 😡 Why don't you do more reactions? Dont know your situation, or maybe you just don't enjoy it but you are so good at it. Seriously. You keep starting back at ground zero because its so far in between your reactions but you could really be doing well at it, for the simple fact you are so genuine in your reactions. Wayyyyy too many, actually most reactors are to bent on "performing" for the camera so they get more views but its all so cringey and see through. There are only a handle of you guys out here who really do it with a sense of honesty and appreciation. Anyway, you could make a killing if you wanted.
Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks is timeless and anytime I hear any of there songs the world fades away in the background.
the ending guitar was lindsey buckingham playing his signature finger picking (or plucking??) lol.
he's such a great guitarist. and the words and singing by stevie nicks are so mystical in this song. love them
I'm amazed at how much this generation and others discovering Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks... Wow! Have never met them but have seen Fleetwood Mac in concert 5 times. The best shows I have ever seen.
Kids freak for her
Probably my most fav video of the MTV era. Her vibrato is so melodic.
You took me way back. That album came out my senior year. They were huge at that time. Thanks for taking me back. Class of 82! God bless@
Lindsey Buckingham from Fleetwood Mac was a master in experimentation with sounds. His production skills and Stevie’s songwriting talent was a winning combination.
Rhiannon, live. Either from The Midnight Special or the official video from the Rosebud film. Next level.
The Fleetwood Mac song, “Silver Springs” is one of their most underrated songs ever. Beautiful.
Believe it or not, they are still putting on amazing shows to this day. Absolute classic. I thank my dad every day for influencing me with his music
I love singing along with this song, but the line “To the gypsy that remains” makes me choke up every time. It’s so bittersweet. 💕
❤️❤️❤️❤️

Fleetwood macs talent is on another level to the new artists
After all these decades, the love they have for each other, still.... 🥲
I'm 73 yrs old and I still play their CD'S in my car. So much talent! Crushing music and makes you want to dance!!! Love ❤
yes yes I love them! thank you for watching ❤️
The most amazing woman to ever live. When she was 21 my god. So beautiful.
My absolute favorite band and I've been a fan for nearly 50 years. Each member is uniquely talented, but I have a special love for Stevie and Lindsey. I am so lucky to have been a teenager in the 70s and then we had 2 more decades of great and creative artists.
It was real guitar at the end. Lindsey Buckinghams influence was fingerpicking, bluegrass, and banjo, and he plays with his fingers (actually, he’s really plucking with the tips of his nails) like a banjo player. All on electric guitar of course.
He’s a guitar god and nobody talks about him.
Fleetwood Mac is my favorite! THANKS for your reaction! The band and Stevie's solo stuff is endless and timeless!!

I have only love,
And if I was a child,

that sound at the end was linsey buckingham and his mandolin
Gypsy is one of my very favorite Fleetwood Mac tunes. Love the video, too. I had goosebumps during your vid! Lindsey was playing guitar at the end. His signature technique 😊
Everyone loves Stevie
I know I do, and always have.
I love that you describe songs as "beautiful", or "gorgeous". I use those descriptions a lot for various songs and friends/family sort of scratch their heads in confusion.
I always say "well, then you're just not getting the transmission". Lol
Great reaction sir Teez !
I highly recommend "Rhiannon Fleetwood Mac Live 1976". It's a great Fleetwood Mac performance and, Stevie Nick's sets the place on Fire.
also you should definitely react to more fleetwood mac! the chain, go your own way, tusk, gold dust woman, don't stop, say you love me are a lot of hits. This song and Dreams are my two favorite Stevie Nicks songs. And yes, it was a guitar solo by Lindsey Buckingham who is a very underrated guitarist.
When this song 🎵 come out I was 22
Yes sir it was a guitar 🎸
One of the biggest hits of
Stevie Nicks solo career
Was probably
Landslide
A masterpiece
I recommend too you
Stevie is the GOAT 🐐❤
"Sara" is my favorite FM song.
I listen to it almost daily. ✌🎵
I love that you read the lyrics, Teez!!
Sisters of the Moon, Silver Springs, Rhiannon, Go Your Own Way are other greats by Fleetwood Mac!
Check out Walter Egan's "Magnet and Steel' Stevie does background vocals on it, as well as Bob Welch (another Fleetwood Mac member) "Sentimental lady" "Ebony eyes"
Next recommended Fleetwood Mac song: “The Chain”
I HIGHLY recommend you react to Fleetwood Mac I’m so afraid live the Dance 1997! You’ll see why Lindsey is truly one of the greatest guitarists with a stage presence that is unmatchable! Rhiannon live midnight special 1976 is a MUST as well! ✌🏻
Check out Stevie Nicks and Don Henley. Leather and Lace.
Stevie Nicks & Tom Petty “Stop dragging my heart around” please. Enjoyed your reaction.
YES!!

It's just a superb song - a meaterpiece

Stevie and Christine had contrasting voice range but they complimented each other perfectly...Hear Christine lead the song Everywhere...
That "end part" that you hear is one of those things that we hear or we don't. My sister insists of a sound in this song that I don't hear and I bet that's the sound you're trying to describe.

I agree. I just saw Lindsey live for the first time(opening for The Killers) and he is one if the best guitar players I've ever seen.
React to The Chain next or to the live version of Rhiannon from the Midnight Special!!!
That was pure guitar with maybe a guitar petal that I can’t quite pinpoint. Definitely no computer effect. This song is about 40 years old.
i think, and i might be wrong, but i think stevie wrote this song shortly after her best friend passed away... so much sadness in it, with so much beauty...

Right on. There is too little light shown on the females of the history of music.

i called her voice kinda "throaty" , I thought she had the sexiest voice, to me, really loved her vocals
That guitar solo was all natural Mr. Buckingham.
Great song
Try Stevie solo on
“Stand Back”
She also has a duet-
“Leather And Lace”
Both are 🔥🔥🔥
That was a guitar, and that is Lindsey Buckingham at his finger picking best
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
That was Lindsey Buckingham on guitar. He does not use a flat pick. He is a finger picker only. Incredible runs and licks with his finger picking.
The sound at the end is a mandolin.
Thank you for that reaction:) if you haver already done so; please consider reacting to Stevie Nicks solo work "If Anyone Falls"
Still a goosebump song❤❤
You need to watch her live 1976 "Rihanna"......HOT!! GUITAR SOLO ROCKS!!
That's Lindsey Buckingham's great guitar playing
This witch put her spell on me decades ago.
She is actually my very distant cousin. You should try Riannon, the chain an one did by the other lady in the group who is equally talanted but never got recognition,Tell me lies
She wrote this for her girlfriend who died of leukemia.
Teez, I hope you enjoyed the holiday ❤️ awesome to see you devour different genres, please consider TUSK by Fleetwood Mac 🙏 you my friend can thank me later 😉 love to you and yours Champ ❤️
I defiantly enjoyed it! i have a lot to be thankful for, and i'll get into that record soon fam, much love!!!

At the time, this video was the most expensive video ever made.
yep, over 2 million dollars
I loved your review of Dreams...I recommend ‘The Chain’, which is part of what I consider to be Fleetwood Mac’s most iconic album, Rumours...I would love to know your opinion of it...
I also recommend the sarong Landslide...want to hear what you think of it...
Thank you so much! ❤️
It was an electric guitar. Lindsey Buckingham is a musical genius. Stevie Nicks is a goddess.
They don’t have bands like this anymore.
SARA next please.
Great!
Try Stevie Nicks' video Stand Back
It was a mandolin the instrument you thought was a computer.
Check out "A Little While" by Yellow Days
You should do you make love'n fun the lead is the other female Cristen
I'm male and I don't have a gypsy skirt to waft when the song plays. My night robe suffices,
I love your hat
I was only trying to be funny...but 100 per cent true!
Nobody can compare to Stevie
Can you please react to Selena Quintanilla’s disco medley live from the astrodome it’s a great performance
Poor Stevie, she wanted to be a dancer but it just wasn't going to happen.
Bring these music back and the trash that we listen to now needs to go😂
